The last few times I visited during weekends or holidays, it was pretty crowded with teenagers running around and a lot more activity. But this time it was quiet and you could hear the birds, so peaceful. Everyone around the trail was very respectful. There were people cycling, walking their dogs, hiking, and just enjoying the outdoors. I also love that there are different trail options depending on how long or challenging you want your walk to be. There's a nice mix of uphill and downhill sections, which makes it even better. Plus, the nearby dam area is perfect for taking a break and cooling down. One thing I really appreciated this visit was how clean everything looked. Previously, I had noticed quite a bit of littering, especially broken glass bottles, which can be really dangerous for dogs. Thankfully, this time around the trail looked much cleaner and better maintained.

It is very relaxing. There is a baseball and football field, volleyball area, even a skate park I believe, so on weekends in can be pretty busy. ps- It is currently under construction as they say they are making it bigger and better. I hope it doesn't lose any of its charm, and that it reopens soon!

This is a park close to my house which I've never came to. This is a great hike for anyone who…read morewants something difficult or beginner. It's a little bit of a windy road to get to it if you go to the back way like I did. There is some beautiful views of the lake on a couple of the terms you also might want to take a nap because my granddaughter and I almost got lost. She also tried to kill me by forcing me up this very steep hill. All in all, it's a great place and I can't wait to return. This time of year is great for watching the sunset.

Lots of pretty views along the trails…read more Speaking of the trails, they are definitely made for mountain bikers, but there were a couple of other couples hiking like us. The trails are rocky & hilly, so if you are hiking, do so in good shoes. I kept slipping in my regular gym shoes, but it was pretty and fun. We didn't stay very long because we came during the latter part of the day. It was our first time here and since we are unfamiliar with the trails, we didn't want to get "lost." We will definitely be back to explore this park more.

This is a hidden gem for sure. It's a park you can't pass by. It is right in the center of a…read morewealthy neighborhood. There's a large soccer goal, a small playground, picnic tables and a winding path that surrounds the park. There's also a free library. I forgot to mention there are benches along the way too. This park is very popular. Soccer practice is held here. Soccer Moms are waiting for their kids to finish, in their top of the line Suv's or cars. A few dog walkers and some kids at the playground. It's also great place for pictures and you can appreciation the artitecture of the homes too. Crowd is reserved and it would be nice if they had a porta potty. Area can be busy with traffic. I would definitely recommend this park.

Its so easy to get to, right off White Settlement and Isbell Road. The few times I've been here a picnic table was available. Unfortunately, their was trash around the picnic table and the trash can was full. Porta potty was available and had toilet paper and it wasn't the cheap kind! It may have been Charmin Ultra Soft. Lol. Trails are endless with numerous possibilities of discoveries.. However, you will run into some poo along the trails. The poo is bad. Its hard to figure out what animal poos like that. Smh. Maybe, they should rename the park and call it the Poo Trails. Lol. This is a great location for photos. The park also has a water fountain for you and your dog. There's a misting fan available and a place to park your bike. Bikers and walkers are seen at this park. If you can overlook the poo and trash, I think you will enjoy this park.

I was super impressed with this park! There's a gate to the entrance, which is open as of right now…read more8-8pm(sunset). After the gate is closed if you need to be let out, you have to call the police. But there's so much to do here! Not just the swimming area! There's a hiking trail, playground and walking trails. Beautiful views and plenty of space to social distance yourself. The trails are available for no fee as far as I could tell, but the swimming area near WhoaZone is $5. They do not take cash, only debit/credit card. The swimming area has a playground and picnic areas. I think there's a spot to cast your kayaks off over there too, but I stayed near the beach and didn't explore anything else. I saw vehicles with kayaks going over on the other side. If you have water shoes, I'd say bring them and a beach umbrella as there's no shade. The sand isn't too uncomfortable to lie in, there's just cigarette butts here and there. But I definitely recommend visiting for the day or even camping if you're into it!

Someone recommended this to me as a "sandy beach". It is a beach, and there is some sand, but the…read moreshore is probably a 50/50 mix of packed dirt and sharp pebbles. OUCH! The rock bottom extends out a couple of yards into the water, where it turns to clay. For swimmers, the rockiness is less of an issue - get past the rocks and swim/float your heart out, but the rocks along the shore make it significantly less enjoyable for babies. Running along the shore and splashing in the shallow water is painful without water shoes. For a true SANDY BEACH, check out Twin Points Park at Eagle Mountain Lake or Little Elm on Lake Lewisville instead. Twin Points is nicer, if you're deciding between the two. Pros: it's a pretty spot, with nice views. Plenty of parking - $5 per car. CREDIT/DEBIT ONLY. There is a dock for jumping off (which we didn't notice until we were leaving, sadly!). Not very crowded on a Saturday in August. Pretty clean, other than the bathrooms. Alcohol permitted (or if not permitted, certainly not regulated). Days swimming at the lake are SO MUCH FUN! Aside from the rocky shore, the only big negative was how gross the bathrooms were. We were there pretty early, so clearly they aren't cleaned daily. Also, the whoa zone is SO EXPENSIVE!!!! It looks fun but I cannot wrap my head around the fact that people pay that much to be there. It's $22 a person for ONE HOUR! Mon-Thurs they also offer a $50 all day pass. For our family of 7, I consider that cost prohibitive. Overall, it was a fun day at the lake, but Meadowmere Park is just not the best DFW has to offer.
