The very bottom area on what I walked is where the swimming area is.

Ok. This place was tough. I do work out. But some areas are steep. The trail is not well marked. At all. We went searching for the waterfall and got lost several times. Go prepared! But we eventually found it. And it was amazing. Not too crowded. I guess cause it was a tough hike. But well worth it if you want a cool swim area.

Hello yelpers, So most of you know me by being a food critic. I'm a bicyclist as well. Riding for many years. I moved from the flatland of Houston to outside of Fort Worth, Tx. That bring me to Sansom Trails. I'm glad I have a full suspension because I took advantage of it. Plenty of places to park. Of course I went on a Friday around noonish. Very hot. Brought a lot of water and a bottle of Gatorade. They say going down is the fun part. Wow that is so true. Trails where nice if you like rolling over rocks the size of cantaloupes. It is a little trashy by the dam at the bottom. I was able to hit a few other trails that lead me back to the steep climb back to the park. Overall Noth to brag home about. I will try a few others around here. Not sold on this one. Enjoy the photos...

Great trials just very confusing at first. Hikers are all over the place when you ride so always stay aware of that

We'll definitely be back but with some bags cause there is trash everywhere -- super sad how ppl throw their trash about.

Aaaaamazing!!! This…read morepark checks every box. Walkable, bike friendly, and perfect for a solid run. The trail is paved and lined with mile markers, which I always appreciate. Each bridge has clear street signs and access points with stairs or exits, so you can hop on or off wherever you need. There are also location markers along the trail, (for emergency purposes )which is great for safety in such a large park. Playgrounds are scattered throughout, and there is even a basketball court tucked under a bridge with really cool graffiti that gives it some personality. The park is clean. Like noticeably clean. Restrooms are mostly portable, but many are enclosed in small structures so they blend in better and are not an eyesore. And yes, they were clean. You will find kayaking launch areas, fishing spots, picnic tables, and benches everywhere. There is plenty of space to spread out without feeling isolated. It is not overcrowded, but you are not alone either. The crowd felt easygoing, and cyclists were respectful. I felt completely safe the entire time. There are multiple paths to switch things up, plus a few shorter gravel routes if you want a change of pace. I even spotted e bike stations along the way. Honestly, this park sits right in the heart of Fort Worth and makes it feel like you do not even need a car in this part of DFW. One of the best runs I have had in a while.

nice park with lots of grass fields and walking trails right along the river and plenty of places…read moreto park.
