I solely came to the Premium Outlet to buy a bag from Tory Burch but after being racially profiled and feeling horrible, my friend said to take a look in Kate Spade because she loves their bags. So it was worth a try. Upon entering I was greeted and welcomed with open arms. I was immediately told about all sales and discounts and an employee retrieved several purses for me to take a look at and try on. I was so pleased with my service that I ended up buying a bag. I'm glad that I did because I wore it for the first time last night and I received so many compliments on it and it was definitely a show stopper amongst my friends. The outlet was packed full of people we walked by and the store was closed and dark, it wasn't even 7 yet? Went to KS for a return, today. I received a gift for Christmas and it wasn't my style, so I went to exchange. I walked into the store and didn't receive the usual greeting that I do from most Kate Spade stores. I walked up to the counter, where a young lady just starred at me and didn't say a word. I told her I would like to exchange and her first words where "do you want to look around or just give the credit"...I said "I think I'll do a little shopping and if I don't find anything, I'll come back for the credit". While looking around I noticed (what I assumed then) a customer staring at me...lol a lot. I ignored it, because I was excited to be shopping around with free money! Lol I decided to wait on purchasing and just get the credit. I went to the counter, to the same lady, and told her I decided to wait. The phone rang and she she asked someone behind me if they could "finish this transaction out"...and the lady that had been staring me down stepped up the the register. This woman didn't say one word....literally not one single word the whole time. When she handed me the receipt with the gift card, she turned her head and stuck it out for me to take. I drove 2 1/2 hours to shop at Kate Spade, today...and I left feeling like trash. I get about 5 Kate Spade purses for myself a year, so I know how they normally treat people and this was not it. read more

Call the store and make sure they're open before you go!! I came to the Allen outlets just for Kate Spade, and they decided to close the store 2 hours before their listed hours. I got there at 6:04pm on Monday. Their hours says it closes at 8pm on Monday. I could see the workers standing at the register, and they could see me trying to open both of the doors. The prices were really good for the outlet and I found quite a few handbags that I would consider buying. The clothes were adorable as well, and pretty decently priced. Stopped by to browse on a Sunday, very busy (Labor Day weekend). The associates were helpful and friendly. Without asking, one associate made sure to tell me the final cost of each bag I considered. The fall collection/colors were up front: mostly black, tan, beige, grey, and a pretty plum. She explained the summer items were further back: saw lots of green, hot pink, and soft blue. I enjoy quality bags and don't mind the cost. Since this was an outlet store, I didn't think I'd find anything to my liking. Super cute store with a NYC boutique style. Prices are high IMO but I am not a Kate Spade Lover so I assume if you are the prices are better than regular retail. For example. I saw this super cute luggage tag. I've been in need of a new luggage tag so i looked at the price and saw $68 but it was REALLY SMALL so I thought to myself, there is no way it's $68 so I asked the associate to read the price to me and she said $68...I literally gasped and proclaimed....FOR A LUGGAGE TAG. Did I hear you say $68...IT'S A LUGGAGE TAG. I then put it down and continued shopping. The bargains I guess are in the costume jewelry section. When I walked in the store you could tell the air conditioning was on high because the employees gave me the coldest stare I've ever seen ..I guess because I didn't have on my MCM backpack and my Christian Louboutins on they decided that I was a regular Joe Schmo and never once greeted me in the store. I want to but must have some self control. They have really good discounts and if you're a student with a ID, you can get a discount as well. I stopped in just to see what the store had, not because I was looking for anything particular. I was greeted and offered help in a friendly way immediately. Their jewelry was extremely well priced, and as I was browsing one of the associates told me about a specific pair of earrings that sounded exactly like what I was looking for. She actually stopped what she was doing to hunt down the pair and bring them over to me! On top of this, they were so ridiculously well priced it was hard not to buy several pairs. So I originally made a purchase with a rebate card and used the full balance that day of purchase. Now that I am returning one item from my original purchase they would not refund my money because I don't have the rebate card anymore. This is very frustrating and inconvenient as a customer. I wished they would of said something from the beginning because I even asked the cashier if I were to return something would there be an issue since I'm using a rebate card. So I went to the Kate Spade store in Allen, TX yesterday(8/13) with my sister and she selected a handbag for her. kate spade new york. She is a student at Collin County and UT Dallas. She went to pay for the bag and showed the associate a picture of her ID since she did not have her college ID with her at the time and had forgotten her wallet at home so she just showed her a picture. The associate called the manager told her that her ID was a year old, she explained the manager that you only get one ID for the whole duration but the store manager told her she can't help her after hearing this my sister came out of the store. I went back to the store with my sister to just buy the bag without the student discount. When I get to the check out, the associate saw me and my sister and told her manager on her mic "she is back". I asked her to call the store manager and explained her that my sister used her student ID in the same store two days ago and she can look up her transaction. The store manager was rude and said I cannot help you and you the ID is a year old and then she said I need the ID the actual physical ID and said I told you I cannot help so I exited the store. Because my sister wanted the bag so bad my mom said I will go buy it and as soon as she enters the store an associate told my mom "are you with those two girls? sorry we cannot help you". The store manager and the associate both were super rude and because my mother was holding the same bag and looked like us they decided to just tell her that she cannot be helped before she could even be at the check out. The store associates profiled my mom because she is also in Indian or may be she had the same bag but I am not sure what made them decide that she just simply cannot be helped. My sister buys from Kate Spade a lot and this kind of behavior was totally uncalled for. We were there to spend money but not be treated like they didn't care for our business because may be how we looked. I went to write a review on Google before this and noticed every single bad review is by a person of color and I feel this is probably a common theme for the store. I had left a bag inside the store it was 5:59pm the girl at the door was very rude and acted like she couldn't hear me and walked away from the door. I understand there's a closing policy but her customer service was completely out of line. I had forgotten my shopping bag inside.Yes, is my fault I had left it I agree but who doesn't forget things at stores while shopping . Anyways even the Victoria Secret employee from next door was trying to get this RUDE employee attention to help me. They're very helpful when you are purchasing! They are less pleased and will give out wrong info when you are trying to return something. I needed a part of my purse repaired and the associate was sour and miraculously couldn't find my purchase in their computer system - then she did manage to pull it up but told me it was blank. When I asked about repair options she had one the stores used (Rago Brothers) but that it was not available to customers, only the stores. She'll need some re-training because a quick google search and phone call to Rago Brothers proved that they can help! They were so nice and very apologetic that I had received wrong info. I love this brand BUT this particular location needs extra training on how to treat/help customers. read more

I love this place! Arlene is the best when it comes to knowledge of the products and making you feel welcome. Some of the other reviews complain about the blonde lady..she is super sweet and always answers any questions you have. The guy in the back is like loss prevention and he helps stock the merchandise. He's always been very courteous and he's pretty fun to talk to. Anyway I switched to kate spade from coach 2 years ago and haven't looked back. I love the quality and the fact that it's not covered with KS letters like all the other purse companies. Kate spade allows you to be unique and not like everyone else and that's what I love. My collection continues to grow my only complaint would be that I live too close and my paychecks don't like that! lol read more
