Fun-Plex is the perfect size: big enough to keep both kids and adults entertained all day without feeling overwhelming. It's also surprisingly well kept and clean--none of the attractions felt run down or in disrepair. There's a great mix of water rides and non-water attractions, making it fun for all ages. I especially loved the lazy river and the water bumper cars, and there are dedicated areas that are perfect for little ones, too. I grew up in the Kansas City area and spent many summers at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. Fun-Plex honestly wins for me because of its more manageable size and overall cleanliness. One minor downside for me was the bar located in the middle of the park--it always seemed busy with parents drinking while kids played. That's not my personal preference, but to each their own. A few tips: wear sunscreen, bring snacks, and be prepared--food is on the expensive side (as expected for a park), but there are decent options. The ice cream portions are huge, which was a fun bonus. Overall, Fun-Plex exceeded my expectations and made for a fantastic day trip. Highly recommend for families looking for a full day of fun.

We then had to ASK the lifeguard to help us out and asked him to give us bandaids, gauze, and an alcohol wipe. he didn't even bother to look at my son or leave his station to help out. we then had to find our own way to the first aid station where we were then helped out with a "not cold enough" ice pack. the guard that helped us file an incident report was helpful though.

The slides were the main draw for the 7 and 10 year old. They also loved the wave pool. The concession stand was out of nearly everything but it was the last day. Some inclement weather had us head out early, but it was a nice little pool and fun station I would usually give this experience a 3, but because it was the last day of season I am more understanding. We may return earlier next year.

But you can have food delivered and the staff will announce on the intercom that your food is arrived, and there's a regular park right outside the gate. You can bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and a cooler of drinks, eat and then go right back in to swim some more :) There is only 1 operating shower in the woman's room as of June 2026. But there are plenty of toilets and they were clean. My family always just sits on a towel in the car and then showers at home.

The pool features a special area for small kids with a few small slides and a dumb bucket, a larger pool area with deeper water and lanes marked for lap swimming, and a 0 entry slash around area with fountains. All areas are very fun and full of refreshing water! There is also ample clean restrooms and the option to shower. A small food court offers ice creams, chips, and candy. We got cookie ice cream sandwiches. The star of Star City, however, is the two large water slides. They have an orange slide that is open air and a blue tube slide. The orange slide is slower but longer and very fun because it is open. The blue tub slide zips you down so fast and is unbeatable fun. We came a day that wasn't too busy and the lines were never over 10 minutes. I'd recommend for a fun family friendly day in Lincoln!

I spent about 10 minutes walking in one direction and then had to turn around to make my appointment but in that 20 minutes, I fell in love with this place. The trail itself is really lovely. You can tell that it is very well maintained and not overgrown next to the path. The small bridges for pedestrians to walk over along the path are a nice touch as well. So much of the trail is shaded and this was a particularly cool day which made me excited to come back in the fall and see the leaves change. I saw two deer while I was there both somewhat close to the path and completely visible, and I passed a handful of other people, enjoying the trail that day, including a handful of leashed dogs which are allowed on the trail. The trail is six or 7 miles long so definitely plan for a long day if you plan to do the whole Lake, but there are two loops that you can do in a shorter amount of time or you can do what I did and park at one of the parking lots do a small walk and then turn around and go back.

It was very hard to figure out what amenities were available in the cabin theough the web site, which made it kind of difficult to know what to bring with regards to cooking supplies and linens. I appreciated the cooking utensils, but I would have liked some form of skillet or griddle. We made do, but it was kind of oddfeying eggs in a pot. I was able to navigate the park without much trouble, but some of my family had a hard time finding the cabin, so maybe the signage could be more clear.

Tons of baseball diamonds although i dont know how often actual events are scheduled in them. Last visit i even admired a few people flying some nitro fueled tethered airplanes. When i was onsite 2 baseball games were going on and the splash pad was busy and still tons of parking. One thing i didn't like is the playground by the splash pad had a 'soft' ground covering but WOW was it reflecting heat like crazy. On a hot sunny day keep an eye on your littles so they dont possibly burned. Also that playground equipment is wheelchair accessible from what i could tell since it had ramps up and walkways were very wide. It can also be tricky getting into the park as the entrances are pretty small steeets. I'd recommend the access off Harrison street.
