When requesting paperwork from medical records, it can take up to 30 days which is very inconvenient if you need it for something extremely important. There is absolutely no way to expedite the process. The psychiatrist I worked with was extremely helpful. She did the best she could with the resources she had. The therapist I had, wasn't a good fit, and I searched day by day for a new therapist, but they didn't have too many available options, considering my health insurance and the type of individual I was looking for. Thriveworks has a lot of rules set/policies for their workers. For example, if you plan on taking a leave of absence for work, the psychiatrist can only approve four weeks. If you are looking to get any sort of leave of absence, paperwork completed, I highly recommend to utilize your psychiatrist as your therapist cannot answer to or fill out certain, I learned the hard way. Your psychiatrist cannot speak to any sort of leave of absence until you have had for sessions with them. Thriveworks has been nothing but a headache for me, at one point, my therapist was doing more harm than good. Hence the reason for me searching for another.

Now they keep sending me questionnaires and emails about "how was your appointment..." which we CANCELLED!!! Furthermore, they charged for the cancelled appointment, when it was scheduled within 24 hours of the appointment, therefore I COULDN'T cancel the minimum of 48 hours in advance. Instead of spending so much time on your tech and automation, perhaps you should invest in your customer "care" services!

However in the initial questionaire the Option of Self Payment is asked. That is because insurance does not cover marriage counseling as it is not viewed as a medical necessity and thus not covered. Further counseling is likely not done by medically qualified individuals - board certified physicians, psychiatrist etc. So in short be prepared for serious out of pocket expenses as you will likely be paying 100%. The question regarding Self Pay is very likely to weed out those expecting insurance assistance. I am sure they are professional and polite.  Just hope your needs for counseling is brief or income/savings sufficient.

Additionally, the tools we learned have also applied to our children. Specifically, we are teaching them to solve their own problems WITH each other in a way that is constructive. I will not tell you the process is easy--in fact, I think it gets worse before it gets better because you will not only tackle what's in front of you but past hurts and mistakes. In other words, you might draw up painful moments that makes the sessions and homework tough... on the positive side, once it is behind you and forgiven, it's behind you. Thank you Bob and Diane for not giving up on us. When they say they will be the last person to give up--they mean it!

They really do care about your recovery and are usually available to contact outside of office hours if you need more help. Susan, Maranda, Jasmine, Andrea, and Ian are all great people. Susan keeps up with all the latest treatments including Lens - Low Energy Neurofeedback System and EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. In the past she used EMDR to help me with some negative childhood experiences that followed me through to adulthood.

I've been coming here off an on for years and every time I leave it's been because the overall experience completely goes south. This place and the people that work here to include Ally, Casey and the majority of the clinical/counseling staff really aren't for us addicts, they aren't for recovery & they deff aren't for trying to help others. They all are very rude, the counselors will lie on you to better fit their needs. They will discharge you without any notice and for reasons that are unprecedented. I have been sick waiting on COVID results and missed three days- their policy states after 7 DAYS YOU CAN BE DISCHARGED. I show up on the morning of the 4th day- after finally being cleared by my primary care for negative COVID results and they tell me they're discharging me. Ally (the brunette one, the blonde Ali has always been very nice and helpful) was very rude and unprofessional when I called voicing my concerns and she too lied straight to my face about my discharge. The only staff here worth anything is Shontae & the young white, brown hair nurse- who both dose clients the majority of the week. The nursing staff (the ones who dose you) are all for the most part the only thing this clinic has going for them bc honestly everyone else inside this building is only there for a check. You can't claim you want to help others and want others to succeed and help them in their recovery just to discharge them bc they were awaiting COVID results, completely lie to your face (by multiple people within their organization) over why I was being discharged and then finally when I backed Ally into the corner and basically made it known that I am very familiar with their policies and what is in their handbook, then instead of getting real and being an adult, then she wants to go around throwing one hell of a piss poor attitude. THEY SHOULD ALL BE FIRED!!! Still waiting to hear from a supervisor to report them!
