She got us all sorted and matched to our horses just as I would've myself and kept the riding tips short, sweet, and funny for my intermediate-experienced friends. (Horse girls are sometimes framed as overbearing and have a tendency to pack an attitude) - but not these instructors. Our guide was Jeff, a real cowboy this guy. Jeff was top tier entertainment and we thank him for taking all the girly photo requests! The horses were all beautiful, loved, and responded so well to our experience levels. She gave us a tour, then taught my daughters how to groom and clean their hooves. The horses appeared to be rescued and rehabilitated, which is always my preference. She took Dancer out to the ring and had both girls ride bareback. My oldest is painfully shy and crumples with direction or correction. This is something we are working on, especially because she so desperately wants to be around horses. Robin was patient and communicative. She gave each toddler a turn on the horse, while the other could play with spoons in the dirt. This worked very well for us. My children's attention span stopped short around their lunch time, when they got whiny and stubborn. Robin did not take it personally and made sure to offer them the opportunity for another ride. Both girls refused and collected lemons from her grove instead. We went back to the tent and made lemonade. Consequently, both girls took a two hour nap after the lesson. THUMBS UP! We hope to return.

Based on our weight and height our horses were Chili, Boogie, and Izzy! Such sweet babies they were. Chili loved to snack on the vines, but was easily redirected to get back on track. If you're too nervous to take photos while on the trail, DON'T WORRY because MARK is sweet enough to do that for you! If you love wine, highly recommend to purchase the package with the wine tasting (to be enjoyed after your ride) because the wine from DANZA SOL WINERY was THE BEST WINE I had all weekend. The horseback tour is amazing. You arrive get your paperwork situated and they match you with your horse based off height. All the horses are just so kind. Our tour guy Mark was amazing, talked to us about the venue, the grapevine, took pictures throughout the tour and sent us all the pictures he took as well. Felt safe while riding with our tour guide. The horses do like to sneak in a few pecks off the vines and some more than others...lol but it's manageable. It doesnt look like your high up, but once you saddle up you realize the height, but the more you ride the more comfortable you get on your horse. I loved it. The weather was amazing. All the staff were friendly and professional. Had an over all great ride. We were celebrating my sister birthday and we couldn't have had a better experience and time with our horses and Mark our tour guy. The ride is pretty lengthy but its nice and you get what you pay for. Make sure to bring pants, closed toe shoes and sunglasses. After your ride you can give the horses some cookies, which they love and look forward to it. I enjoyed that part as well. There's only a port-a-potty on sight that I saw. So technically there is a restroom on sight, but we all know how stinky those are. So go before you arrive or the winery next door has restrooms that are much more ample. Definitely worth every penny. Would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to enjoy and good time riding as well as some good wine afterwards.

Kids need to listen to instructions for their own safety. My daughter absolutely loved her lesson and had the best time. Every instruction came with an explanation and my daughter listened and did her best better herself. She has asked me multiple times to go back and definitely will be a few times per month. Life is tough and people aren't nice in the world. Strict coaching will prepare them for the future.

This event happened about three years ago but I thought I would share my experience. I have quite a…read morebit of experience riding horses, but I hadn't ridden in a while so I decided to go there for a lesson. At the beginning of the lesson the horse they gave me to ride was taken to the round pen to exercise out some of his energy, which I thought was kind of odd. Then I was told to get on the horse. As soon as I swung my leg over the saddle to mount the horse, he started bucking. I ended up behind the saddle sitting on the horse's rump struggling to stay seated but then finally went flying off. I was really surprised that I was given a horse like that because this was the first time I had ever been there. I tried to get on again and the horse tried to buck again. Someone grabbed his head and I was finally able to get on the horse. After that he was fine but I had some massive bruises the next day. I think Green Acres needs to have better trained horses.
