If you're too nervous to take photos while on the trail, DON'T WORRY because MARK is sweet enough to do that for you! If you love wine, highly recommend to purchase the package with the wine tasting (to be enjoyed after your ride) because the wine from DANZA SOL WINERY was THE BEST WINE I had all weekend. The horseback tour is amazing. You arrive get your paperwork situated and they match you with your horse based off height. All the horses are just so kind. Our tour guy Mark was amazing, talked to us about the venue, the grapevine, took pictures throughout the tour and sent us all the pictures he took as well. Felt safe while riding with our tour guide. The horses do like to sneak in a few pecks off the vines and some more than others...lol but it's manageable. It doesnt look like your high up, but once you saddle up you realize the height, but the more you ride the more comfortable you get on your horse. I loved it. The weather was amazing. All the staff were friendly and professional. Had an over all great ride. We were celebrating my sister birthday and we couldn't have had a better experience and time with our horses and Mark our tour guy. The ride is pretty lengthy but its nice and you get what you pay for. Make sure to bring pants, closed toe shoes and sunglasses. After your ride you can give the horses some cookies, which they love and look forward to it. I enjoyed that part as well. There's only a port-a-potty on sight that I saw. So technically there is a restroom on sight, but we all know how stinky those are. So go before you arrive or the winery next door has restrooms that are much more ample. It's nice seeing other boarders and having a chat or just a simple wave across the stalls! It's so peaceful there and people respect each other. James and Kym are usually working away and doing what they do best... keeping up the ranch to the highest standards for all of our babies!! They are both so helpful and just truly wonderful, sweet, hard-working people that exude the utmost professionalism, compassion, helpfulness and caring. Yes, there are places cheaper and there are places more expensive... but know that money can't replace just knowing your horses are safe and loved and cared for when you're not there. Having that trust and ability to sleep peacefully each night knowing James and Kym care for my horses just as they would their own and care so much about all the animals is priceless. Her and the staff also worked with us to include important traditions to our reception, which made the day that much more special. If we had an idea, we were able to talk it out and get advice from Tracey and the staff, as opposed to more restrictive or closed off venues. When I began the search for a retirement facility for my beloved 24 year old Arabian, I was…read morebeginning to lose hope on finding a place where I could still visit her often and could feel comfortable she was getting the care she needed. When I stumbled upon Linda's facility, I knew it was perfect and when there was finally an opening I was elated! The facility has much of what you could ask for. It's one of the few pasture options in North County San Diego, has a small/large arena option, individual pastures with covered stalls for when it rains, tack rooms, wash racks, etc. and they are able to cater services to exactly what your horse needs! It was perfect for us and I am so relieved I can retire my horse and still see her often. Since boarding my horse there for the past year, she has had a few health issues, which Linda and her staff have gladly helped accommodate giving medications, monitoring her progress, and even assisting with moving to a dry lot pasture as she could no longer handle the grass. I can tell all the staff truly care for my horse and want to ensure she is healthy and happy, which is worth more than anything, especially since I don't see her everyday. I highly recommend boarding your horse here and am so thankful to Linda and all the staff for making sure my perfect mare is healthy and happy in her golden years!

I got to ride Ranger and he was so hungry during our trail ride. Had me thinking, do thy feed them lol but I just let him do his thing and she did as well. We all just let the horses eat and chill too while taking the trail ride. We wanted them to enjoy themselves too! My man rode Mega and he's huge! Also, he's their youngest horse and I cannot remember the name of the other horse but I did ask their ages. Many horses live around forty years and Mega was seven, Ranger was 15 and the horse guiding us was 20. It was such a nice day to ride. Don't come here having to use the bathroom lol. My one complaint about the trail is their lack of cleaning it! There was a toilet that has been there on the trail a while, I'm not sure if someone dumped some fish eggs on the trail, there was a little patch that they need to clean asap! They're probably just use to it and might not notice but there and lots of flies over it and I'm not sure why someone wouldn't want to take pride in the trail. She got us all sorted and matched to our horses just as I would've myself and kept the riding tips short, sweet, and funny for my intermediate-experienced friends. (Horse girls are sometimes framed as overbearing and have a tendency to pack an attitude) - but not these instructors. Our guide was Jeff, a real cowboy this guy. Jeff was top tier entertainment and we thank him for taking all the girly photo requests! The horses were all beautiful, loved, and responded so well to our experience levels. This was my first time ever paying for a horseback riding tour and I think I was very lucky to have ended up at Saddle Up with Tj & Jeff.
