I reiterated what she said to me (they made a mistake but they wouldn't fix the mistake) and she said "this is the medical profession, not retail. We don't fix things in the medical profession". Then she proceeded to tell me that I don't have to pay it, but that they will just send it to collections. She had a raised voice, and was interrupting me every time I tried to say anything and was 100% unprofessional. She sounded like she was in her 30's without much life experience. Dr. Wallace seemed knowledgeable and fine. (When she inserted the pellet, I wasn't numbed all the way, but she immediately fixed it and it was a fine experience.) Ultimately, I don't think the pellet is rocket science - you cut, insert and bandage it. But since they are expensive, the price took me to Dr. Wallace. The truth is - I would have gone to Dr. Wallace for the next 10+ years for a pellet. But her receptionist was rude and defensive, I never got a return call on my first inquisition, and her office manager was ready to fight with me as soon as she did call. I won't be returning. And I have a sister, mother-in-law and sister-in-law who have already made appointments with her. Plus several others who I have given her name to. Pretty sure not one of them will be going....because I told them it was only $400! Dr. Wallace - your staff is a disservice to you. Customer service is still essential! I did my due diligence, was wronged, and nothing was rectified. I'm not into the bait and switch - that is a used-car lot move!

Near the end of my pregnancy, I developed symptoms commonly associated with preeclampsia, including severe swelling, persistent headaches, and blurry vision. I raised these concerns during an office visit and in a message, specifically stating that I was worried about preeclampsia. I was told that I was young and that these were normal pregnancy symptoms. No additional testing was ordered. After two subsequent pregnancies with a different OB, I learned these symptoms should have been taken more seriously. At minimum, I believe my appointment should have been moved up, my urine protein checked, and home blood pressure monitoring recommended. As a first-time mother, I trusted her judgment and was not seen again for about two and a half weeks. At my next appointment, she was out of the country, so another physician saw me. That doctor immediately checked my blood pressure and urine. My blood pressure was dangerously high and my urine showed extremely elevated protein levels. I was sent directly to Labor & Delivery and delivered my baby a month early due to severe preeclampsia. I cannot know whether earlier evaluation would have changed the outcome, but I do know that I felt unheard when I raised legitimate concerns. The experience was traumatic for me and my family. I am sharing this review in the hope that it encourages others to advocate for themselves and seek a second opinion if their concerns are dismissed. Seeing similar experiences in other reviews is one reason I felt compelled to share mine.
