Our pediatrician refered us to Dr.Robinson! I got to know her late in my pregnancy, & I wish I knew her sooner. ;) She delivered my baby Legend @ Saddleback Memorial! Why 5/5!!! She is the most dedicated OB I ever met! Kind, caring, genuine, & overall the best. She is private practice...SHE TAKES HER TIME. She is patient. She is through. I trust her. And she delivers most of her babies! Her caring staff is so nice. Her front desk will take care of you. I remember having to do a transfer of care and she put me at ease and told me not worry about it and that she will get all the documents she will need from my previous doctor. Her nurse. Nurse Patti! She is the sweetest nurse ever... As she greets you to come in for weigh in and vitals... she truly listens to you and make you feel at ease... Because I had to deliver earlier than expected... I wasn't ready. My mom was out of town. My husband was scheduled for a promotional interview. I broke down and cried!!! And I requested her nurse to be at my delivery. And she didn't even hesitate. She immediately said Yes and gave me a hug and told me she will be there for me. I highly recommend Dr.Robinson! She will take care of you and so will her staff. Very thankful to have her!!! Dr. Robinson is the best! She is very thorough, and takes her time with each patient. She does not over book her schedule, so you typically only wait a few minutes in the lobby for your appointment. She delivered my second baby after my experience with another Dr. in the area was horrible delivering my first. Dr. Robinson stayed in the room with me until the baby was ready to be born and made me feel so comfortable. I have been looking for a personal "interested in me" Gyno for a long time. I saw Dr. Robinson because of insurance but was so excited and pleased with her office staff in setting up the appointment, her P/A in taking me right in and being personable and most of all - Dr. Ming herself. She delivered my son ten years ago and has been a phenomenal OB/Gyn. She spends time actually getting to know you. She ask questions, really cares and provides solid referrals . Yes, there are times here and there when she has had to cancel or postpone an appt because one of her patients is giving birth. But, she is worth the wait. Dr. Ming is the absolute best! She is beyond any doctor I have ever had. I had an OBGYN that I loved in Los Angeles. After moving to OC I still drove up to LA to see her. But when she retired, I was on the search for a new doctor. How blessed was I to be referred to Dr. Ming. On each visit, she spends an hour with me, asking about my current history, how I am doing, feeling, in all areas. She truly is a caring and comprehensive doctor. How wonderful it is to have a doctor that isn't in a huge, impersonal group but one with a smaller private practice who genuinely loves what she does and cares for her patients. I'm currently looking for another doctor to deliver our baby. Unfortunately, at Dr.Robinson's office we are just another file. We've been cancelled 4 times, in some cases in the same day. Today I waited for an hour to be told to wait another 45 minutes before the doctor can see me for a regular monthly check-up. Both my husband and I have to rearrange all of our schedules to take the only appointment available, yet to be cancelled/rescheduled again. I did like Dr. Robinson as the person, and she might be a great doctor too. Unfortunately, I have no trust at this point as I can't seem to get adequate attention that my baby and I deserve. The office of Dr. Robinson simply DID NOT care - the staff is poorly trained, nurses are unprofessional (taking 2 hours to fill out a simple blood work request), they are always overbooked. Also, the office has been billing us incorrectly for all the lab work done at the office, which resulted in doubling of the co-pay. There are number of good OBGYNs in the area. We will not recommend Dr. Robinson's office to anyone. Too much frustration! read more

I met Dr. Robinson 11 years ago, when I was 6 months pregnant with my 3rd child. My prior Ob/gyn was planning a repeat C-section. If I had to have surgery, I wanted a tubal ligation ("TL") at the same time. He could only deliver at 2 hospitals - one prohibited TLs, and the other was a dump to which I'd vowed not to return. A co-worker strongly recommended Dr. Robinson. She took my case, determined a C-section wasn't medically mandatory, and in the end, I had a successful VBAC instead at Saddleback (a great hospital, btw). In the eleven years since then, Dr. Robinson has helped me with a myriad of gyn issues, always taking time to explain any procedure, answer any question, and explore and exhaust all non-invasive options first. Dr. Robinson is on top of her field. She keeps up with the latest approaches and results, so that she can give you all of the current information on your situation and potential treatment options. Dr. Robinson works collaboratively with my GP, so that blood work drawn for an annual physical is tested for both doctors' purposes, rather than doing multiple rounds of labwork. This is great. It saves me time and money. Her office is very close to Saddleback hospital, so that she can quickly pop over to check on her OB patients and back to her office to keep appointments on track if a delivery is not imminent. Another benefit of her location is that she has arranged regular access to equipment to enable many activities to be done in her office, which streamlines insurance paperwork and your time, rather than dealing with a completely different front office staff for out-patient tests. Although I don't live or work very close to her office anymore, I prefer driving the extra distance in order to be seen by a doctor who knows my name, and with whom I have a solid rapport. Bottom line: She's awesome. Stop researching and make an appointment. You won't regret it. read more

I have lived in Orange County for 10 years and I went to 3 different Ob/GYNs before I found Dr. Robinson. I am really picky about my doctors and I do not want my children delivered by just anyone. When I found Dr. Robinson I knew I found someone I could trust and build a solid patient doctor relationship with. I am telling you ladies, this is the place to go if you want to be treated liked a person and not a file. I have been to the big groups and I have waited more than an hour and a half, just to be canceled on. That has never happened to me here. The office staff is very small, and therefore busy, but that is what makes this office so great. When I call they know who I am and if I have a problem they work really hard to get me taken care of that day or the next. The nurses are very friendly and the front office is always courteous. Dr. Robinson is very thorough, and professional. She has a wonderful calm bedside manner that makes you feel relaxed and reassured that you are being taken care of. She makes sure that all your questions are answered and she does not rush through your room until you are taken care of. She was recommended to my by a good friend and I have recommended her several times as well. I am currently 9 months pregnant (and I have been under Dr. Robinson's care the entire time) and I can tell you that grace s. had an unusual experience. In the last month the entire office staff has either left on a family emergency, moved or retired. As a result Dr. Robinson has a whole new staff. But like I said before everyone who works here is great and I know that they will only get better with time. read more

I visited Dr Robinson upon recommendation from my mother. I went in for an annual well woman check up. The doctor had lab tests performed for other illnesses that were not discussed with me. She also charted that she had conversations with me about these tests. She absolutely did not. I phoned the office on four occasions to discuss these lab bills that I had received for the tests which she had done without my knowledge or consent. She would not return my calls. I then took the time to go to her office to talk with her as I am sure that she made a mistake in her records with me and another patient. She walked past me when entering the office from her lunch break we made eye contact and I greeted her. She then went into the back office and had her medical assistant come out to tell me that Dr. Robinson would not talk to me! I do not recommend this doctor. Nothing but trouble and unnecessary testing. read more

Dr. Robinson is an incredible doctor and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a calm, professional OB/GYN. She delivered my baby 6 months ago and I am so glad it was her. She and her staff are very caring and understanding. I even had a scheduling problem at my 40 week check-in (yikes!). But the nurse and doctor worked with the schedule they had and were able to still perform my visit instead of sending me home to come another time. I love that with Dr. Robinson, I know who will be delivering my babies because she is able to be present for almost all of her patients' birthdays. That is something that cannot be said for the big OB/GYN practice groups that are popular in the area. I will definitely be staying with her for the rest of my children and beyond. I have been going to Dr. Robinson for 20 years! She is the best and most thorough doctor! She did an amazing job throughout my pregnancy with my daughter 12 years ago. I switched to this doctor when my current one retired and on my first visit the nurse Patty told me they were sending me to do some lab tests but never told me what they were for. Fast forward months later and it turns out that the labs were for a uti infection that was never treated, which Patty brought up in a conversation when I had a question about my birth control. My second experience with this office was when I called on a Monday about another uti that I had been diagnosed at an urgent care with over the previous weekend. I told her I was having pain up the front side of my belly and up my back. I wanted to know if it was related to the uti. I received a callback Tuesday afternoon and she told me there was nothing she could do and to go to the Er if it got worse. So, basically I was blown off by the nurse after she realized that she didn't call me back in a timely manner. This office cannot communicate effectively between each other much less to their patient. Ps. It was a textbook kidney infection. Pretty sure this office couldn't diagnose a cold if it coughed on them! read more

I've had the worst experience in my whole life with this doctor's office. Careless and bad communication among doctor and her assistants. The appointment is at 10:30am and I arrived on time. After filled papers as a new patient, they let me wait for 2 hours to get into the room because of "some delay". After another 1 hour waiting with pants being replaced by papers for examination, the office assistant came to tell me that the doctor couldn't see me unless I come back at 4pm. I've been waited for couple weeks to see this doctor to treat my medical problem and I was really disappointed. They've wasted me almost 4 hours without any explanation and sincere apologize. I hadn't visited for five years. In the past there were front office problems but with this visit any problems had been resolved. The doctor explains a condition or treatment until it is well understood by the patient. She answered any and all of my questions and followed up with a phone call from her staff. I was out of the state and found that she had attempted to contact me three times. She is personable and knowledgable and the staff is fantastic. My wait was only about five minutes. This doctor's office was extremely unprofessional. After waiting several months for my first appointment, I received a call the day before asking if I would be willing to change my appointment time because Dr. Robinson needed to deal with an emergency. I was happy to help and showed up at the newly scheduled time. The waiting room was empty and the receptionist informed me that the Dr. was running late. After 20 minutes of waiting, the receptionist announced that Dr. Robinson would not be able to see me that day. She had an emergency to attend to. She offered to reschedule my appointment for the following MONTH. I told her that I expected an appointment sooner than that, in light of the circumstances. She said she would figure something out and call me. Then she acted like she was doing me a huge favor when I asked that my parking be validated. I never received a follow-up call and called back a week later to request that they forward my records to a new Gyn. The receptionist patronizingly explained that OB doctors often have emergencies and are often called away. I have 2 kids and know what OB doctors do. I have never been treated this poorly by any professional. I am a doctor and would most certainly contact a new patient if I had to cancel an initial appointment. The icing on the cake was that I had to call the receptionist twice more to request that my records be faxed, as she did not follow through. read more

Let me tell you why my rating for this office if low. It took me more than two weeks to get the appointment. I showed up 20 minutes before my schedule to fill out the paperwork becuz this is my first visit. I finished my paperwork in 5 minutes. There were a pregnant woman, her mother and 20 minutes later, one other blond female showed up. I sat there for 2 hours patiently waiting in the wait area. I read 2 magazines word by word. Checked my emails, fb etc.. I came and ask the clerk, he said that oh there are two patients before you then it's your turn. Ok, I can be patience. There were an Asian girl from one of the room from behind the wait room door came out and said after she has waited for 3 hours, now the doctor cannot see her, they would have to reschedule her. She said she had it, the doctor is great but the staff is so bad. She will not come back. In my mind, I said I wouldn't blame her. After 2.5 hrs went by, in the wait room there were just me and the blond girl, we carried the conversation, she said her name was Tonia, she said her appointment time is 30 minutes after my appointment. The pregnant lady and her mother left becuz the doctor want to see them back at 4:30 to get a balloon. She is overdue 10 days so need to have injection the next day. I came to ask the clerk again he said the wait time is just like this everyday but today is bad and he said, there's only one patient before me. Ok so I was hopeful. He then called Tonia and ask her to reschedule, she said ok she'd understand and willing to reschedule it. The doctor came out and she started a conversation and the doctor ask her to come in behind the wait door. I thought she was only went to the back to use the restroom but I didn't see her came out. Meanwhile, the pregnant girl and her mother came back. Her mother said to me.. 'you're still here?' after 3 hours. I said yes and she said 'you have a lot of patience' I must admit I do. The doctor was actually seeing Tonia while I was talking to the other lady. i was like oh my god, I got to say something. Just becuz she's an old patient doesn't give the doctor the right to see her first. I came in early and my appointment time is 30mins before her. That is not right. When the girl came out, I went over to talk to the clerk, he said that this happens all the time. He is quitting in two weeks. He kept apologize patient and he feels the pain of waiting. I told him he has no idea of how it fell sitting in the wait room for more than 3 hrs. Everyone time is valuable and I hope they understand that. The doctor came out and heard I said it, she said she doesn't know, she could only see 1 patient at a time. WTH, this is so unprofessional. They could of told me that after 1 hr of waiting. The nurse told me that there's 1 patient before me then the doctor will see me and I am willing to wait. She said fine. 30 minutes later, the nurse came out said that it's late in the day; unfortunately, they have to cancelled my appointment for the day. They were hopeful to get all the patient, they should of know the back log and have reschedule me after waited for 1 hr, I'd be happy to reschedule it. She said the doctor can see my first thing in the morning. I said "oh no, I'm not coming back. According to the clerk, this is the regular thing for this office that was why he is quitting in 2 wks. OMG, after 3.5 hrs of wait time and they are sending me home. I cannot believe it. I told myself oh no, this is not the office I want to visit. It doesn't matter how good the doctor is (i didn't even get to see her), it is not worth the long wait and the unprofessional treat from the doctor like that. She took someone in on a fly. I told the nurse I'm sorry but I'd like to take my file back. The clerk was hesitant to give those to me. I told him, there is no reason for you to keep those papers when I am not your patient and hasn't seen your doctor and most definitely not coming back. He gave those back to me. He told me that he was sorry that it was a wasted afternoon for me.. He damn right. It was not worth anyone time to visit a doctor office when you have to wait, wait and wait and then get send home. read more
