I want to start by saying that I genuinely empathize with in-network physicians right now. The administrative burden, insurance pressures, and volume expectations placed on doctors are enormous, and I don't doubt that Dr. Baginski works very hard. That said, my experience was that the practice feels overextended to the point where patient care suffers. Despite having a large staff, my visits with Dr. Baginski were extremely brief (on the order of a few minutes), and there was little opportunity to ask questions, discuss the full clinical picture, or feel heard. I often felt like decisions were being made at me rather than with me. In my case, I was dealing with a complex situation involving abnormal uterine bleeding, iron-deficiency anemia, and multiple downstream symptoms. I was hoping for a more comprehensive, investigative approach, but the pace of the visit made that difficult. When care is rushed at that level, it's hard for patients to feel confident that all contributing factors are being thoughtfully considered. I imagine this practice may have grown very popular over time, which speaks to Dr. Baginski's reputation and experience. Unfortunately, it now feels like the volume may be too high to allow for the kind of careful, patient-centered care that complex cases require. This may be a good fit for patients with straightforward needs who are comfortable with a very fast-moving, high-throughput model. My partner and I have reached a point where we can no longer trust this practice with her pregnancy, and that is not something I say lightly. We have consistently felt a major disconnect in the care Mary has received, and unfortunately the problems have only gotten worse. Mary had labs done on October 21st. No one ever called to review them or even acknowledge they existed. She brought it up during her appointment on 11/20, and the MA said she would look into it and get back to us. We never received a call. We had to follow up ourselves -- again. When we finally got answers on 11/25, the office claimed they "just received" the results on the evening of 11/24, yet LabCorp confirmed they were ready on 10/23 at 5 AM. This either means the practice isn't getting results and not following up, or we're being given misinformation. Neither of those is acceptable for prenatal care. To make matters worse, during that same 11/20 appointment, Dr. Baginski didn't seem aware that Mary had been in the ER earlier that morning for light contractions. Something that major should never slip through the cracks. When we called the office to address these issues, instead of taking accountability or showing concern, the staff became defensive and argumentative. We were even told the labs were "not concerning yet," but how can we trust that when it's clear the office was scrambling to catch up once questioned? We have transferred Mary's care to another OB and had her labs reviewed by our primary care doctor because we no longer feel safe relying on this practice. Pregnancy care should be attentive, consistent, and proactive -- not something a patient has to chase down or double-check. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience here. I am heartbroken and traumatized by my experience with Dr. Leon Baginski. I had been under his care since 2015. He performed my hysterectomy and had managed my gynecological health for nearly a decade. I trusted him. I never expected what happened in May 2025, which left me emotionally shattered and medically abandoned. In early 2025, I had multiple ultrasounds confirming a large ovarian cyst that needed surgical removal. However, I was forced to delay the surgery because my apartment was filled with mold. I was living in unsafe conditions, and despite City and County involvement, Woodpark Apartments failed to complete proper remediation. They sent me to a hotel for a month and then returned me to an uninhabitable environment--a year later, it still isn't fixed. Because of this, I was left scrambling to gather medical necessity letters to protect my health and secure safe housing. This wasn't a luxury--it was survival. As a patient with Cowden Syndrome and Lyme disease, I required a clean environment, and my doctors knew my case was complex. I reached out to Dr. Baginski for a letter confirming the urgency of the surgery and my need for a safe recovery space. At first, he said he would provide it. But when I calmly explained what needed to be included--such as the urgency of the cyst, the risk of torsion, and the environmental sensitivity--he became deeply offended. He told me no one had ever asked him what to write in a letter and found it insulting. Despite that, his office told me the letter would be coming. When I reminded them I had just spoken to him, they seemed confused. One staff member even asked, "Do you feel like you're being discriminated against because of Medi-Cal?" I said yes. She replied, "I'm sorry you feel that way." But the next day, I received a call from Dr. Baginski himself. He was audibly upset, cut me off, and said, "No, let me finish." He told me again that he was "deeply offended," called me a "liability," and said he would no longer treat me. That moment devastated me. After nearly 10 years under his care, I was dropped--without surgery, without a referral, without compassion--simply for asking for documentation I needed to survive. I never thought there was a problem between us. I wanted to stay with the same doctors. But the moment I mentioned Medi-Cal discrimination, he exploded like a bomb. This wasn't just a breakdown--it was the result of a much larger failure, one that began with Woodpark Apartments' refusal to provide a safe home. Their failure pushed me into crisis, and this abandonment by a long-term doctor was one of its worst consequences. This experience has caused me lasting emotional and medical harm. Dr. B is great. He was recommended to me by my primary care physician. I was in one of the most important things about him as he sits and he listens to you and he looks at you while you're talking. He's not writing notes or doing other crap while you're trying to explain what's going on. He listens. Not only does he listen he quickly- which is so rare. I have lots of complex, chronic illnesses, and so many people are so clueless and knowledgeable in every single one of them. All the nurses and office staff are great as well. You know that you're the only patient but the way they talk to you and the way they treat you. You would think that you're the only patient that they ever have to deal with. Okay, so Dr.B, his staff and mission hosptial nurses/ anesthesiologist are BEYOND amazing! I've told them all how much I appreciate their type of care and kindness. I had my first baby in October of 2023 and I could not have done it without ANY of them. I told Gabby in Dr. B's office that they are God sent, all angels. I could not have gotten through my anxiety filled pregnancy without them. It turned from my biggest fear of having a child to I can't wait to have another because of this crew! Although I think Dr. Baginski may give quality care and service, my experience was disappointing. After waiting an extended time in reception area my actual time with him was no more than approximately 5 minutes. I had several concerns to discuss with him but there obviously wasn't time. I mentioned my concern with prolonged fatigue perhaps long haul covid because I specifically read on his website he dealt with "fatigue". Absolutely terrible doctor. We had visits scheduled for 30 minutes and he spent 3-5 minutes with me and my wife. Even knowing that we're not native speakers, he spoke like a machine gun, looking on his watch all the time. He has prescribed strong loosing blood shots to my wife without any bloodtests and they were not needed as we discovered afterwards. When my wife had miscarriage, he pushed the surgery without even mentioning other options, because that's how he makes his money. When we had a miscarriage and told about it, he laghed and said "Oh, it's my birthday that day, haha". What a jerk. If you're doing well and your pregnancy is smooth, then you'll probably be fine with him, but then you'll be fine even without any doctor. read more

This review is long overdue. Dr. Baginski is amazing. If you are struggling with fibroids, I recommend discussing your options with him and trusting him explicitly. He is a meticulous surgeon who cares about his patients. I now have quality of life because he cared and helped me through a difficult time. I cannot recommend Dr. B enough. As a nurse practitioner, I am not an easy patient, but he is always respectful and kind. It is not a quick process to have this kind of surgery, but he will go the distance with you. Dr. Baginski is the best!! He's been my dr since 2018 and has also delivered both of my daughters! One being super recent. I drive all the way from San Diego because he really is that amazing. Things I appreciate about him are how he will always tell it to you straight. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and caring. Another thing I find very important is how he really pushes eating healthy, exercise and just overall an organic lifestyle. It seems today many Drs like to prescribe meds instead of really getting down to the basics like your daily food and exercise. I couldn't recommend him more! My specialist, Dr. Shikhman in San Diego, recommended Dr. Baginsky as a second opinion for a personal reason I'm not disclosing online. First off, the check-in is next level because you do it beforehand, including payment. I loved that. The take care of all the administrative work upfront before you even go to the office so by the time you get there, you check-in and briefly wait. Also, all the staff I met was friendly, open hearted, and made my visit perfect and lovely. The nurse who showed me to the room, Gabriela was so friendly and helpful. She was also very supportive when I discussed my issue and what I needed. It was nice to have someone who truly understands what you are going through in the room. Dr. Baginsky was able to deduce my issue, come up with solid and doable recommendations, and didn't make me drive all the way back from LA just for simple tests. He had his tech expert assist me that day. Though I can't remember her name, she even voluntarily stopped her lunch to assist me. Again, the experience was so nice. She was thoughtful, explained what was happening, and answered all my questions. I left the room feeling really good even though the news was not what I wanted. The great part is that Dr. BaGinsky prepared me for the possibilities and again, he had recommendations and resolutions that I agreed with and could do for my issue. It is nice to know that you are in the hands of an expert who knows next level healing and medical procedures. Also, speaking as an African-American woman who has had to argue and fight for good medical care my entire life, it was so refreshing and inspiring to be in an office that treated me like a human being with respect and dignity, not a second class citizen. I appreciated the way everyone spoke to me in the office. I wasn't spoken down to, interrupted, dismissed, or made fun of in any way. There was no negative energy in the office at all. Also, the staff itself was pretty diverse and I appreciated that. Honestly, for my fellow WOC, this is the place to go. Do the drive, it's worth it. If I had been his patient four years ago, my issue would now would not be in existence. The knowledge that some medical experts have and don't share with certain groups is just disheartening. I wish I had known of Dr. Baginsky years ago. I'm writing this review on behalf of my best friend, who had such a heartbreaking experience in the care of Dr. Baginski, that it was too painful for her to sit down to write this. Before I tell her story, I want to note that ***she delivered a perfectly healthy baby girl*** and that this 1-star review is based on the way she was treated throughout her labor & delivery. Every woman should feel 100% safe, nurtured & empowered when giving birth. Unfortunately, this was not the case for her. - My friend had told Dr. Baginski that she had a feeling that her baby would be born quickly. Instead of listening to her instincts, he mocked her and went home (30 minutes away from the hospital). - When my friend told the staff that she knew it was time to push, a nurse DENIED HER THE RIGHT TO PUSH AND TOLD HER THAT SHE NEEDED TO WAIT FOR THE DOCTOR TO ARRIVE. She was forced to wait for Dr. Baginski to drive back to the hospital. - When her baby girl was born, before my friend saw her, Dr. Baginski said, "She's the size of an avocado!" He was JOKING. It should also be noted here that, my friend had been induced early because she had been told that her baby was no longer able to access nutrients in the womb and was therefore no longer growing. So, going into this knowing that the baby would be on the small side, this *JOKE* was especially distasteful. Though, needless to say, no joke of that manner should ever be made. Every woman, baby & family should be in the care of a physician who truly cares about the physical and emotional well being of his patients, and should strive to create the most comfortable & nurturing environment for delivery. I am truly disheartened to know that this is what my friend experienced, and I hope this review will empower families to seek out the best possible care, because you deserve it. read more

The most attentive doctor. Very compassionate! I did end up having a miscarriage pretty early into my pregnancy and Dr. Baginski squeezed me in the next day. I felt support from the whole office staff. One opened up and shared her personal experience with me which was so sweet--I knew I wasn't alone in my grief and felt very comforted. Dr Baginksi has been my Dr during my entire pregnancy, and delivered my baby. I am so grateful, because my experience was extraordinary. All of my appointments went incredibly smooth. The front desk is easy to get a hold of, and easy to work with when I needed a question answered. There was a few times where I needed to come in more urgently and they always found a way to squeeze me in almost immediately. All of the staff here are amazing. The PA Leah is so knowledgeable and kind, and the Ultrasound tech is awesome. Ultrasound appointments were my favorite because we got to see baby, and she also made it so fun and informative. Dr B is very knowledgeable, and confident. This made me feel very at ease during the pregnancy especially leading up to the delivery. For lack of being seen or any mindfulness of patients time. I was very disappointed after waiting over a month for an appointment followed by an almost TWO hour waiting room wait... At that two hour mark, I was sitting alone in an exam room and heard the Dr go in to see the patient in the room next to me. This was just a very frustrating experience and not the kind of first impression I was expecting based on reviews. It's been 2 years and a lot of therapy, but I am finally able to write this. I'm going to keep it brief. On the day of my scheduled induction, Dr Baginski had to leave for surgery. They had to stop administering pitocin for 5 hours because they couldn't get ahold of him, and didn't know what to do. My water had already been broken and I was a sitting duck with a high risk of infection while we waited for him. When he arrived he made fun of me. He said, "Oh, I thought this was supposed to be quick. You said precipitated labor runs in your family, HAHA." My Mom even yelled at him to stop, as I began tearing up. I told him I could feel my labor progressing fast and he said, "no way you're having this baby tonight. I'll see you in the morning." 1 hour later I was crowning. He was 45-min away and the on call Dr (WHO I BEGGED FOR) was out for some reason, so they had to stop my labor from progressing again. I was ready to push but by the time he arrived, I didn't have that sensation anymore. I wanted to wait and he said, "PUSH! Come on, you can do better than that!" He then told me my baby was the size of an avocado when she came out (knowing that I had to be induced due to IUGR) and I began balling thinking she was way too small. He was joking. What a jerk. My good friend also had a terrible experience with him and my new OB told me there is a reason he no longer works at their practice. He shouldn't be practicing. OH and when I preemptively asked him about diastasis recti he laughed at me and said, "Get a tummy tuck for 20K!" read more

This is by far the best Obgyn. Dr. Baginski is the best! I drove over 1 hour for all my prenatal exams and he delivered my baby girl with absolute no complications. I was pregnant with my last baby plus over the age of 40 and Dr. Baginski reassured me that I would be fine having another VBac. He also found out that I had a thyroid issue during my pregnancy in which he has helped figure out why I was always so tired and exhausted. He knew what to do and delivered my baby girl the absolute right way; a natural birth, never did he pressure me or rush me. He always managed to put me at ease during my pregnancy care and delivery. I cannot say enough things about this wonderful Dr. he is worth the long drive. I want to truly thank him because I had such a great experience at his office. Dr Baginski is a highly skilled surgeon. He did an exceptional job with my complicated robotic surgery for stage 4 endo. My incisions healed within a few days and I was back to my normal active lifestyle within a week. We were so hopeless in finding a good doctor/surgeon and a solution for my wife's two large fibroids. We had a horrible experience when we were with Kaiser Permanente but then changed our insurance and were lucky to find Dr. Baginski. He is professional, very well-expericed and very sharp. Prior to visiting him, we had already become very acquainted with the issue and possible remedies and also their possible complications. However, Dr. Baginski was the only doctor out of 7 doctors we visited who knew, from experience, what he was talking about, was not afraid of the most complex surgery and was able to answer our most detailed questions and concerns. He is the top doctor and surgeon in the area for fibroid surgery and is determined to do the least invasive surgery and to save the uterus. It's been about 6 months since my laparoscopic procedure with Dr. Baginski I was referred by friends to see Dr. Baginski for suspected endometriosis after my issues were ignored by several other OBGYNs. Dr. Baginski made me feel heard regarding my symptoms and concerns; he recommended we do surgery. I did have endometriosis, worse than anyone anticipated. He was able to excise and clean up my reproductive organs. I haven't missed work due to painful periods since then. My quality of life is forever changed because Dr. Baginski took the time to hear me out and believe me. I did have scheduling issues such as not having a pre-op appointment and the surgery center ceiling collapsing prior to my procedure causing a delay. But all in all, I am happy with my experience. I have been going to the office for over 3 years now and love Stacy and Dr Baginksi (regardless of my hour wait times on occasion) at it hurts to extend a negative review due to office staff. This is the second time I have driven over 45 minutes for my appt and office staff extends that I do not have one: this past time I received two calls from their office as I had to reschedule and rebook me. Unsure of the back end issue but staff was not sympathetic or understanding. I felt like I was at fault and not heard. It seemed that my acct was on hold due to $15 charge which I always pay in person upon my next visit . I received a voicemail from the office stating this but due to my appt being 10 days later and I having surgery , I didn't worry about it. Assuming this was a booking issue due to the system blocking my acct and no communication that the system would block my acct in the voicemail they extended to me or I would have easily called back and paid. Simply just walked out of the office and will never visit again due to the hospitality I received. For the past five years, I've received excellent care from Dr. Baginski. It's a very busy office and sometimes difficult to set appointment or talk on the phone with front staff. That being said, it's a health facility and emergencies are to be expected. My personal experience with front staff and nurses are consistently excellent. My time with Dr. B are quick but never rushed. I am always given opportunity to ask questions or voices my concerns. I always make my next appointment, even a year ahead as I know it's hard to get immediate appointment. Reminders are sent closer to appointment date. They helped me so much with my aftercare as well. His LVN Maday was just the cherry on top to all of my visits. I met her my post op visit and she was so kind and knowledgeable. I LOVE this doctor and his whole team. I have the worst luck with doctors and finding anyone I trust. I'm currently in the hospital after giving birth to my daughter and couldn't even wait to get home to write this review. Dr. B arrived to deliver baby girl Sunday late (even though I was under the impression he has an on call dr on weekends but he knew how important it was that HE deliver my baby) at night and then was back in the hospital early the next day to check on me. He's come in every morning to check on me and baby. Maybe this is standard, however, I've given birth before and have had doctors never show or visit. Dr. B is very blunt and doesn't beat around the bush, however, he never rushes my appointments, always answers my questions and knows exactly how to calm down any worries or concerns. This pregnancy was rough and I was very morning sick. His office offers IV for those who are struggling, I would literally call them and they always were able to put me in same day when I was having really bad days. The waits are never longer than about 20-30 min, almost always they're on time. If I had questions or concerns with anything I would call the office and someone would get back to me immediately to answer them.
