Arriving- These fine folks are on the outskirts of the city on Route 17 South. They are super easy to find. They are in a dilapidated plaza with no presence at all, but parking is plentiful and easy. Pro Tip- Route 17 might freak you out a little. It's a divided highway but it's divided by 1000 feet of homes and businesses! Often you can't see the other lanes! Atmosphere- There is none. It's an old building with old fixtures and furniture. There are many booths with hard, uncomfortable wooden seats with no padding. Can you say, "Butt ache!" Pro Tip- CASH ONLY so come prepared! Customer Service- Excellent! My server had worked there for 8 years and was a pro and it showed! Food- Stand southern, American menu with no surprises. I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelet with potatoes plus coffee. It cost me $12.80 pre-tip. The coffee was hot and good. The potatoes were piping hot and not greasy. The omelet had plenty of fillings, but they were all packed in the middle with empty ends and that annoys me a little. However, it was very good, and the overall breakfast was solid. This is a hard one to rate for me. It probably should be 3.5. There are plenty of places nearby with a better atmosphere and equally solid food.
