Great food. Greek Salad is awesome. Can't go wrong with the Gyro or Athenian Grouper!

Good food and service. It has the small town ambiance that I love about Wauchula. Definitely a great place to eat for the whole family!

Pretty neat place, all individual rooms with their own theme. Four of us for dinner, very satisfied, large portions. No beer.

The Mediterranean grouper is my favorite, a large fillet of grouper broiled with peppers, onions and a light marina sauce.

Well, I was a little hesitant to try this place because their Yelp rating is only 3.5 stars. But,…read moreI'm glad that I did try it, yesterday. The service was friendly and prompt. Most plates were like less than $10 and usually came with two sides and bread. I had their hamburger steak meal. The meat was cooked perfectly. I asked for (medium rare). The mashed potatoes were really-really good (not Instant)! All for ten dollars. BTW, you may read in the reviews that they only take cash. That was true until about six months ago. Now they do take credit cards with and 3% service charge. I'm only visiting in Wauchula for a little while, but God Willing I'll be back before leaving town.

It has several privately owned restaurants that are solid, and this is one of them. I love a good breakfast so off I went! Arriving- These fine folks are on the outskirts of the city on Route 17 South. They are super easy to find. Depending on which way you come in, you'll be driving by citrus groves, cucumber fields and cattle ranches. If you're really lucky, you might see a bear! They are in a dilapidated plaza with no presence at all, but parking is plentiful and easy. Pro Tip- Route 17 might freak you out a little. It's a divided highway but it's divided by 1000 feet of homes and businesses! Often you can't see the other lanes! Atmosphere- There is none. It's an old building with old fixtures and furniture. There are many booths with hard, uncomfortable wooden seats with no padding. Can you say, "Butt ache!" Pro Tip- CASH ONLY so come prepared! Customer Service- Excellent! My server had worked there for 8 years and was a pro and it showed! Food- Stand southern, American menu with no surprises. I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelet with potatoes plus coffee. It cost me $12.80 pre-tip. The coffee was hot and good. The potatoes were piping hot and not greasy. The omelet had plenty of fillings, but they were all packed in the middle with empty ends and that annoys me a little. However, it was very good, and the overall breakfast was solid. This is a hard one to rate for me. It probably should be 3.5. There are plenty of places nearby with a better atmosphere and equally solid food. I'm going with four stars because of the stellar service. Just remember to bring a pillow for your butt!

Service was pretty good, our server was very friendly and helpful, but they seemed to be pretty busy so he didn't come around too much (which we also appreciated, as it was just enough space and attention). Food was better than I expected! All of the dishes were well-cooked and flavorful, the drinks (mango margarita) were a bit strong but loved, and nothing was too salty or too bland. We started with a dozen oysters which were very fresh and slightly chewy (different from northern oysters that I usually have), then had the cod, crab cakes, and snapper, all with well-paired sauces and great sides (the snapper was slightly overcooked). Everyone got complimentary sunset shots as the sun was dipping towards the horizon, and we finished off with a giant slice of key lime pie (that we couldn't quite fit in so we took back because it was too good to waste). Overall good experience and will definitely be back to try more!

I hate to rate them this low. However, my grouper was cool, not lukewarm, but cool. The Grouper was…read morerather dry, and that was frustrating. I tasted more filling than crab in my small crabcake. The veggies were cool. However, the sauce was rather tasty. My wife had a similar experience. I also ordered the Key Lime. If you've seen many of my hundreds of reviews, I love me some Key Lime. Look, I became hungry just thinking about a slice. Regrettably, this Key Lime was disappointing in taste. The rather larger crust could've been outstanding, but alas, it too was plain. My daughter enjoyed her chicken salad but didn't like the salty fries. My mother-in-law didn't believe her Snapper meal was Snapper. She said it was moist. Yet, she said it was okay. Disclaimer: The Server was great, but she was taking care of a group of 14 people. The people who came out to help her deliver the food were ok. We asked several times whether the "Catch of the Day" was the Flounder. We were repeatedly told, "No." It was. Consequently, those who ordered it also had cooler food. I believe those issues contributed to the food temperature. This place came highly recommended. In short, I wasn't pleased with paying $164 for three mediocre meals. I encourage you to try them out. I plan on taking my wife back there on August 27 to give them another chance. I'm certain it'll be much better.
