Mushroom Brie soup and salad from the salad bar
    Andy W.

I visited Giovanni's yesterday with seven guys with my motorcycle group for lunch. I wasn't extremely hungry since we had eaten breakfast at 9am. But I can't resist the mushroom Brie soup. I also decided to get a salad from the salad bar. My buddies ordered pizza. Giovanni's has a wood fired brick pizza oven in the dining room. The restaurant was fairly full but service was excellent. My soup was out of the kitchen quickly and the salad bar had a great variety of different ingredients. We also met another biker group while we were there. Overall a great lunch experience.

I just lucked up on this place in remote Wauchula, Florida. I am not sure why I failed to write a review the day I went, but that was probably for the best. The food was delicious and large portions. So I had leftovers. Let me say the sandwich reheated well- surprising with the wrap. The sauce was just enough so that nothing dried out and the flavor and texture were great! Service was excellent, I wanted to sit outside and they were able to accommodate me- even though staffing was slim. I wasn't in a hurry, so my patience was more than appreciated. They gave me the garlic bread for the delay! That helped the tip for the server!!! Beautiful outdoor patio and nice Main Street vibe. I will be in the area again soon and will make this a stop- even if just to get food to go. If I don't eat in maybe I'll grab a pizza.

Walked in. Waitstaff was friendly. Seated us right away. They only have beer in bottles just an fyi not a knock. Ordered Lobster ravioli and a pizza. My boyfriend said the pizza was really good. The lobster Ravioli was mediocre. The actual dish it was in was hot but the food in the dish was not. Cheese on top wasn't melted at all and the lobster inside was mushy with no real taste or chunks of lobster...the ravioli pasta was hard...needed to be cooked a bit longer. So if they cook it in the stone oven they have...needs to be in a dish that truly cooks the food itself. The salad bar was ok but watch the gnats.... All around ok experience and would return to try something else or have pizza.

Food is great, but can be hint or miss. Something things on menu are confusing. The food changes according to the cook at the time

We were calling to get a pick up order and the lady answered and never even asked what we wanted and left us sitting on call.

Lasagna and Chicken pizza was great. Very cheesy lasagna and the salad bar was very good. Service was good even though it was busy.

This is one of the finest Italian/Pizza/Sub shops in the area and I've never talked about their awesome cheesesteak! This review rectifies this. Customer Service- So I blew into order my cheesesteak to-go. The young lady at the counter was a little chatty as I am and just fine. It took me maybe two minutes and my sammich was out in about five more. No choice but five stars! Food- So they bake their own rolls here which is a big plus. The gold standard for cheesesteak is an Amoroso roll from the Philadelphia area. These are not that but very good. There was plenty of tender meat with no fatty pieces. Good stuff! Here they add peppers onions & mushrooms, and I have no problem with that, and they were tasty. They use White American cheese, and it was tasty and there was plenty of it. Now for something weird and wonderful. A couple of years ago a good friend asked me to try adding pepperoni to my cheesesteak. I did and it was awesome! I've been doing it ever since and this time it costs me an extra buck. The basic sandwich is $11.99. I brought this bad boy home, and you can see my picture. It was an excellent filling cheesesteak, and I love supporting a local business. Five stars!

Our dinner reservation was at 5pm; so we did enjoy their happy hour which ended at 6. Since it was a work dinner, I was only able to take pics of my own meal, and everything I had was delicious. As a woman who seems to accidentally time travel from one dinner reservation to the next, I've…read morelearned an important lesson: when at an Italian restaurant... maybe order the pasta. Apparently even seasoned travelers across timelines still make questionable decisions. My latest stop was Cassariano Italian Eatery, where I boldly decided to order the sea bass instead. The presentation was beautiful and very modern. It arrived with this lemon foam on top that looked artistic and futuristic... although part of me also kept staring at it trying to decide whether I should eat it or admire it from a safe distance. The first few bites were actually fantastic, but toward the middle I got a stronger fishy taste than I expected, and it kind of lost me there. Then there were the capers on the side. Or berries? Tiny flavor grenades? I'm still not entirely sure. All I know is I confidently popped one into my mouth like a professional food critic and immediately questioned every life decision that led me to that moment. Maybe I wasn't supposed to eat them alone. If so, lesson learned. That said, I genuinely think this may have just been an off experience with my dish because almost everything else at the table looked incredible. I tried a bite of the rack of lamb and it was outstanding. The spaghetti with lamb meatballs looked rich, authentic, and absolutely worth coming back for. Even the desserts and cocktails going by other tables looked like they belonged in a magazine. The portions were generous, the atmosphere felt genuinely authentic rather than overly trendy, and the staff was excellent from start to finish. There's a warmth and confidence to this place that makes you want to come back and explore the menu properly. So this time, 4 stars from your slightly confused but well-fed time traveler. Next visit, I'm sticking with pasta... and maybe dessert first.
