In town visiting family and looking for a place to grab lunch. Our family recommended right away that we check out Kathy's Tavern. I am always looking for a dive bar / tavern type feel when I go out, so looking online this was the perfect fit. It's pretty small inside, but just what you would imagine. Large bar right in the front and a few tables scattered throughout the restaurant. They have some larger tables in the back. We had a total of 9 of us on a Friday afternoon and got a table right away. I had the Cheeseburger. They waitress said if it's your first time here, you must try a burger. She wasn't kidding. This was one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. The table shared the boneless wings and they had plenty of meat, and plenty of flavor. My son and I stopped in for lunch and we were not disappointed. We both ordered the classic burger and fries. The service was friendly and the the food came out pretty quickly. The food was very good. A little pricey but what isn't nowadays. Worth coming to and I will be coming back! read more

If your tired of spending BIG bucks for an average hamburger, this is the place for you! They grind their own hamburger and it's especially tasty. None of the tasteless burger meat from the big chain restaurants. Dive bar atmosphere where good burgers are an art form. A stop for us every time we're in Pulaski. I am not usually one to give 1 star but considering that I've been told they have the best burgers in town by many, I had pretty high expectations. From the time we placed our order, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive 3 burgers and fries. The establishment was not busy nor understaffed but somehow managed to disappoint. The burgers are over cooked and EXTREMELY greasy. The fries were also greasy and unsalted. I wish the management was better and the quality control of the food was amped up. Cheeseburger perfection We just had cheeseburgers and fries at Kathy's and they were as good as a cheeseburger can get. The patty is like more than an inch thick, not greasy, toppings fresh and a bun grilled. The fries were a good quality, hot, crispy and plentiful. This is a real "hole in the wall", but well worth the time to stop in. We had lunch: bacon cheeseburger and patty melt with a large order of tots. Both were probably an 8 ounce portion of hand patted meat. The quality of the meat was excellent! The tots were extra crispy, so good. They were very busy at lunch with one person cooking and also running To Go orders. That left one person to take orders and man the grill until he got back. Still, the wait wasn't bad, around 20 minutes. But it arrived very hot. Considering the huge take out business they have, not unreasonable and explains the multiple Help Wanted signs. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!! My brothers and my sister-in-law said that when things got busy last night, the bartender poured water into the vodka bottles to water them down and she moved cheaper whiskey into the more expensive bottles. Can honestly say I will never go back there nor will I recommend it to anyone. We were there for 30 minutes before anyone ever acknowledged us. After we finally asked to have our order taken, we waited another two hours. No food ever came and no one came by to check on us or apologize for it taking so long.
