She said she takes insurance but then the nightmare starts. She asked me to pay in cash then could file insurance on my own by giving me receipts. I did and asked for receipts every time I see her. After 3 treatments, she gave me a non medical super bill with no EIN number. It's not acceptable by insurance. Things started to go chaotic. At first she refused to help filing insurance because of language barrier; gave me all the excuses, assuming my insurance is cheap with huge deductible, assaulting my employer provided bad insurance...Then she said it costs her to hire someone to do it (every medical clinic hires some professional to handle billing, it's a very basic thing). Five months after with enormous amount of time on calls and chats between Viven, me and my insurance company. I discovered she filed and charged 2 times the billing amount to my insurance. She reimbursed me what I paid her in cash and pocketed the rest of the money. She said it's legal and legitimately done. Not to mention the treatments I received have no affect on me. The way she handles works is very doubtful and unprofessional. I feel sad that she had ruined the reputation on the field of Chinese acupuncture.

The woman at the front desk said I didn't have an appt. I figured I must have called the wrong place and it was my mistake. So I said no problem. I will call soon to book. 2nd time- same approach (google, called and spoke to someone to book for 5 days away) I found it odd that she didn't ask my name or my telephone number but just figured they were super casual about how they did business. I could also tell her English wasn't very good. So I show up for my appointment and again the lady at the front says that I don't have an appointment. She doesn't have me down and that they are busy with four people. This time I said that's not possible. I looked you up on Google and I showed her that was their business with a picture of the front and the telephone number I called was the one listed. Then I noticed that the telephone number that was on the flyer at the front desk was different. When I asked her why they have different numbers, she indicated that the number I was calling was direct to the massage Person and she does not know her schedule. Frustrating for sure, but I laughed it off and I rebooked it for the very next day at 3:30 PM. 3rd time- I show up for my 330 appointment and there's nobody at the front desk. I waited a few minutes and a woman comes out of the back and ask me if I wanted a massage. I told her that I had a 330 appointment and she said no you don't. And I said I do. I spoke to the person at the front desk yesterday and she booked it. She then looks at me and said not possible you need to wait 30 minutes. And I said I can't wait 30 minutes. I'm on a tight schedule. She said call my manager. So I proceeded to call the number that was on the flyer at the front desk and the manager said that I don't have an appointment. She said I told you 5:30 or 6 PM. That was not true because I had just booked it the day before and specifically worked around the 330 appointment. Needless to say, I have no clue how they are able to stay in business The communication skills were very limited and the fact that they have two different telephone numbers for two different people booking massages without knowing the schedule is ridiculous. So after three attempts, I still haven't gotten a massage and certainly will not try again. Good luck to anyone that is successful in getting a massage at this place.

I handed her my card, and she informed me of a $5 credit card fee. I was okay with this until she asked for a tip before providing the service. This made me uncomfortable, so I told her I would tip after the service. She then led me to a room, saying she would need another 10 minutes for some reason. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes before she finally started. While waiting, I noticed several signs stating they didn't provide sexual services and that police could inspect the rooms at any time, which gave me really weird vibes. When the masseuse finally began, her technique involved pinching and a weird rapid pressing motion that was just awful. The last 20 minutes of the massage was low effort. I was quite annoyed by the end of it and wanted to be over with it. Despite the poor experience, I still opted to give her a 20% tip and she had the audacity to be upset with the amount and asked for more. I was shocked but stood firm and refused to give more despite her trying to "negotiate" her tip multiple times. She finally processed the tip amount I had decided, and I left. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place.

I have undergone multiple surgeries in an attempt to resolve this issue. I have consulted pain specialists at Stanford, UCSF, and Kaiser, and have also tried physical therapy, multiple nerve blocks, acupuncture for over a year, and even ultrasound-guided Botox injections in my abdomen. Following a final surgery, which unfortunately did not alleviate the problem, it was determined that further surgical intervention was no longer an option. My last surgeon, who is highly skilled, informed me that surgical options are exhausted and recommended that I consider structural therapy. I found Cris and Medicine Evolution online and decided that a consultation might be helpful. Cris spent a considerable amount of time consulting with me, asking questions, and truly listening to my story. I decided to make an appointment. After my first session, I committed to three months of weekly sessions. Cris's holistic approach involved assessing my entire body and how I move, combined with hands-on therapy and, for once, exercises that were easy for me to remember and implement. For the past eleven years, I literally had to hold my stomach when I walked. Now, I am able to walk for over an hour without holding my stomach. I had never been able to walk for more than ten minutes without experiencing intense pain. Although I am not completely healed, Cris has given me hope that I can gradually improve. As a long-time runner, I am hopeful that I will eventually be able to run again. Cris is truly a one-of-a-kind practitioner. He thinks outside the box and integrates the brain with the body. He's amazing! I highly recommend him. He is a deep thinker who listens carefully and develops individualized plans for his clients. I truly believe that he is on the cutting edge of working with the mind and the body together. Thank you, Cris!

Chris's bodywork was not only amazing, but his coaching and education about bodies and my body mechanics have really helped me adjust how I walk and move. I continue to bring this awareness to my daily life, which is why I think my knees are continuing to do so well even after our sessions ended. Chris is friendly, smart, funny, observant, caring and committed to his work and his patients. I highly recommend!
