I had such a wonderful experience overall. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, checked in and received a tour of the facility. The women's changing area was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the relaxation lounge where they had water, tea, nuts and books to unwind after your massage. My massage therapist was excellent. I forgot his name, but his communication throughout the massage was great. Always asked how I was feeling, how the pressure was etc. Spavia offers lots of different options from massages to facials, eye lash extensions/refills and even spray tans. Love this spa and the relaxation room, the massage therapist was amazing and the facial was very chill. One thing I would change about the facial is the addition of more skincare products and tips. Everything with the facial just felt sort of like a massage, there was no description of what was being used and not much was suggested. I also didn't love the group setting of the relaxation room, when I think of the spa I think "peace and quiet" and while it was peaceful, it wasn't very quiet considering all the interactions in the locker and relaxation room. read more

I had a lovely experience at Spavia in San Ramon for my birthday spa session! I purchased a Groupon package that included a facial and a Swedish massage and I really loved the staff and facility at Spavia--from the time that I called to make my reservation until the time that I headed out to leave. I've found that a lot of times businesses will put a Groupon up and then be kind of weird to customers who want to use it, and I am happy to report that none of the Spavia staff had any of that vibe. The co-owner was a really sweet guy who introduced himself and was super approachable and available if I had any questions while I waited before my sessions. I was given a relaxed tour of the space and enjoyed all of the cozy amenities, including the hot tea, fruit platter, and nice literature to put my mind at rest before I got even more relaxed. My favorite part of my experience by far was the facial. I've never, ever had a facial that relaxing! I knew it was real when I felt my aesthetician gently nudging me awake because I had straight passed out in absolute bliss. It just felt too dang good! My massage was next up and that was a bit less relaxing because I was super tense but it definitely didn't taint my experience at all, I still had a fabulous time at Spavia and would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy some spa services--particularly a nice facial! read more

Had a really great experience at Spavia and would definitely come back again. I purchased a Groupon for their 60-min signature massage, and the only small downside was that you can't book the appointment online--you have to call in, and they do require a credit card to hold the reservation. Make sure to present your Groupon when you check in to help make the check-out process smoother. There's also an intake form beforehand that covers medical issues, areas of focus, pressure preference, music choice, and even whether you prefer conversation or silence, which made everything feel very personalized. The receptionist was super nice when I arrived and gave me a full tour since it was my first visit. The atmosphere was clean, relaxing, and spa-like from the moment you walk in. Their locker room has lockers, showers, changing rooms, and plenty of amenities. They provide robes and slippers, and there's a quiet lounge area with tea, warmed neck pillows, mints, and trail mix where you can unwind before your therapist or aesthetician comes to get you. I ended up upgrading to a deep tissue massage for an extra $30 and booked with Maleha. She was really friendly and did an amazing job working through the knots in my shoulders--I walked out feeling so much lighter. I received a spa voucher from my husband as a birthday gift. Between work and being a busy mom, I unfortunately lost track of the expiration date and only realized it on the last day. I called the spa that day while the voucher was still valid, but no one answered. Since their business hours stated they were open until 8 PM, I had hoped there might still be a chance to book an appointment or at least discuss my options. The spa returned my call the next day and told me they would not honor the voucher because it had expired the day before after they spoke with the owner. I explained that I had tried to contact them while it was still valid, but was unable to reach anyone. I also contacted Groupon, and Groupon confirmed that while the promotional period may expire, the amount paid does not expire and remains valid toward services with the same merchant. Groupon advised me to work directly with the spa. What disappointed me most was not just the policy itself, but the way the situation was handled tells the personal value of the spa owner. From my perspective, I made a good-faith effort to contact the business while the voucher was still active, and the spa had already received payment through Groupon. I was hoping for a little flexibility, understanding, or customer care, especially given the circumstances. Unfortunately, the owner was unwilling to work with me. I genuinely want to support small businesses because I know running one is not easy. That is exactly why customer empathy and service matter so much. Based on this experience, I feel there are other spas that show more understanding and care toward their customers. I wish them the best, but I hope other customers are aware of how situations like this may be handled and the personal value of the spa owner. read more

Went to Spavia for a second time and had another wondrful experience. This time had the regenerating lift facial with Mandeep. It was relaxing and she provided helpful information. This was an incredible experience. The staff were so sweet, I believe the owner was working at the front desk! She guided me through the process and amenities. You get a robe and slippers to relax in the waiting room with either tea or water. Definitely get there early to soak up the relaxation! My massage therapist was very knowledgeable and so kind! Ivan might have given me the best massage of my life! Incredibly intuitive and therapeutic deep tissue massage while checking in to make sure the pressure was good. My daughter and I had a 60m Signature massage today and it was just what we needed for mom/daughter time. The check-in was friendly and everything was explained well, including the tour of the ladies' locker and lounge areas. We had the couples massage room, the masseuse were excellent and they checked in on us several times to ensure the perfect massage pressure. We enjoyed water and tea with a warm neck pillow while reading gratitude table books in the lounge area after the massage. Highly recommend this place. We will visit again! read more

I was excited to see Spavia open in San Ramon as I've visited another location out in Pleasant Hill over the years. The front desk was very nice and accommodating to my multiple appointment changes :) and made me feel comfortable and welcome. My first time going to this location was in August and again today both for facials with Jenna. Jenna is amazing Esthetician. She was very sweet and kind and addressed all concerns I had for my skin, she explained what she was doing and was knowledgeable about her craft and gave me the best recommendations for my skin. I walked out "glowing" and my face felt great. Will def be going back to Jenna whenever I need a facial. I highly recommend seeing her. read more

Got a massage a few weeks ago and loved it so much that I joined their monthly membership and just got another one. Not only are their treatments wonderful but the ambiance is really relaxing, clean, and top notch. When I go for local massages, I usually hear conversations, noise, and other distractions in a small environment and usually only get the peaceful ambiance when I go to Sonoma or Napa. But this location creates the relaxing, quiet atmosphere the moment you walk through the doors. The locker room is immaculately clean and the relaxation room is filled with serenity. I can't say enough good things about my experience yesterday. I wanted to treat myself to a facial and a friend recommended Spavia. I put my appointment on the phone and the receptionist was pleasant, professional, and answered all of my questions with patience and knowledge. I arrived from my appointment about 10 minutes before the spa opened but the receptionist did not hesitate to let me in despite my earlier rival (I believe her name was Vanessa, please forgive me if I'm wrong). She checked me in gave me a tour of the establishment showed me where I could change, use the restroom, and shower should I desire to do so, And where I could wait for my masseuse to come get me. The space was beautiful, clean, and serene. In my assigned locker there was a robe in my size along with sandals in my size for me to change into. In the waiting area there were also warm neck pillows and books to read while you wait for your masseuse. My service was completed by Jenna who was an absolute gem! Not only was she kind and sweet she used the perfect amount of pressure throughout the service and made sure to address all of my concerns regarding my skin, in at the end of my service My skin felt and looked beautiful. Loved my first time experience at Spavia! The staff was so nice and helpful. The spa was very clean & cute. I enjoyed the cozy robe, shoes, hot tea, and option to select my lotion scent and music.
