I had such a wonderful experience overall. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, checked in and received a tour of the facility. The women's changing area was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the relaxation lounge where they had water, tea, nuts and books to unwind after your massage. My massage therapist was excellent. I forgot his name, but his communication throughout the massage was great. Always asked how I was feeling, how the pressure was etc. Spavia offers lots of different options from massages to facials, eye lash extensions/refills and even spray tans. They also offer 3 different membership plans that come with their own treatments per month if you're interested in that as well.

One thing I would change about the facial is the addition of more skincare products and tips. Everything with the facial just felt sort of like a massage, there was no description of what was being used and not much was suggested. I also didn't love the group setting of the relaxation room, when I think of the spa I think "peace and quiet" and while it was peaceful, it wasn't very quiet considering all the interactions in the locker and relaxation room.

I handed her my card, and she informed me of a $5 credit card fee. I was okay with this until she asked for a tip before providing the service. This made me uncomfortable, so I told her I would tip after the service. She then led me to a room, saying she would need another 10 minutes for some reason. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes before she finally started. While waiting, I noticed several signs stating they didn't provide sexual services and that police could inspect the rooms at any time, which gave me really weird vibes. When the masseuse finally began, her technique involved pinching and a weird rapid pressing motion that was just awful. The last 20 minutes of the massage was low effort. I was quite annoyed by the end of it and wanted to be over with it. Despite the poor experience, I still opted to give her a 20% tip and she had the audacity to be upset with the amount and asked for more. I was shocked but stood firm and refused to give more despite her trying to "negotiate" her tip multiple times. She finally processed the tip amount I had decided, and I left. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place.

However they have good prices and the massage itself was very nice, overall good experience just some niche things and they need to make it so their doors don't slam. I was in need of a gym and having a pool was one of the requirements so that limited the options in…read morethe area for me that wasn't a 20 minute+ drive way so I decided to check out Equinox first and ended up really liking the vibe. The classes feel like studio classes (like barre or spin, etc.) that you'd be paying almost $200/month for without any amenities or regular gym equipment. I've been to other gyms in the past that had a lot of hm, lets just call it people watching and social hour. Folks here are definitely here to workout, do their own thing and friendly. Definitely a no judgement zone. I also had some hesitations based on other reviews about not being able to freeze or cancel membership within the first year especially if you have an injury and what not but decided to go for it anyway despite that, more on that later. Some other other gyms didn't seem to be any better based on those reviews so it probably would've been similar issues elsewhere anyway. When you initial sign up, they give you some comp sessions with a trainer (to obviously sell you personal training) but it's something I wanted to try anyway. I thought, why not, let's give it a go for a few months since I thought it would be good to get an extra boost and back into a routine. Well, a few months had passed and then I had some travel plans so I was away from the gym but then came back from my travels with a severe knee injury where I could barely walk. It sucked but I showed up anyway. Not because I couldn't cancel my membership due to the contract terms but because I needed movement for rehab. I was initially hesitant about returning to training because I felt like I wouldn't be training at 100%. And let's be real, the training sessions aren't cheap. After some discussion with physical therapist for a rehab plan, I decided to return to training with Summer and it was honestly one of the best decisions I've made. Summer programed exercises for me to supplement my PT. She has been really awesome to work with, because my program needed a lot of re-working along the way to adapt to my rehab progress. She's also open to feedback and really great with listening to my input on things that I want to work on. While I am still ways away from being 100% recovered from my knee injury, I already feel like it's night and day compared to just a few months ago. So why only 4 stars? Well, only taking one off is quite generous despite some issues with their app, specifically for training and the so-so amenities in the locker room. The app isn't the best and there were some miscommunications with it that led to a lot of frustration but the training manager Matt was really nice and made it right. The other reason for taking off the star was the amenities which they finally changed to something that smells way better. The previous products didn't smell good and it seemed like the shampoo, body wash, and face cleanser seemed like it was all the same soap in the shower. Didn't feel like there is anything different between the stuff in the bottles. It wouldn't even upset me that there was just one multipurpose wash but the same soap in the different bottles is just confusing for me. Like what's the point? Anyway, good riddance with the old stuff. I haven't tried the new stuff yet aside from the lotion that smells heavenly. I haven't been to the other locations to compare but this one is sufficient for my needs.

Before the service even started, I was still changing when the provider came into the room after I said I wasn't ready. My privacy was completely ignored. The service itself was rushed, rough, and aggressive. Nothing about it was relaxing. During the wash, water kept getting on my face from the handheld sprayer, which felt careless. (she only used the waterfall once and that was in the beginning to get my hair wet) She also put her thumbs into my ears during the scalp massage without any explanation, which was odd & uncomfortable. The most concerning part was when the provider went underneath the towel drape to massage the inside of my cleavage area without any explanation or consent. That crossed a serious boundary and made me extremely uncomfortable & tense the rest of the service. After the service, the situation got even worse. She was pushy about tipping and tried to grab my card while it was in my hand. I had to say "I can tap it myself" for her to stop. I asked another staff member if going under the towel drape was normal, and she said no. When I explained what happened, the response I got was "oh next time we know not to do that," which was incredibly dismissive. I left feeling uncomfortable and honestly upset. This was not a professional or safe experience. I would not recommend this place at all. ** Update: After my review was posted, I was offered a refund and asked to consider removing this review. While I appreciate the refund, I'm choosing to keep this up so others are aware because I wish I knew beforehand to avoid this. Since posting this review they had texted more than once asking to remove it (after the refund) which comes across as dishonest.
