I've been searching for a new nail salon for awhile now. I went to Katie Nails and I was a little disappointed. I had a regular pedicure and a no-chip manicure. The women that did my nails did a good job overall and she was very nice. However, the tools she used were not clean. I mean the nail clippers she had used were filled with nail clippings! I was super excited to get a mani and pedi at Katie Nails and Spa because all the pictures looked so good! I'm a new Mom and decided to pamper myself by getting my nails done. I decided to try dip nails because I had heard that they lasted a little longer. Unfortunately I'm really disappointed with how my nails turned out. After only one week I had the top coat peel off 2 of my nails, a part of the dip crack off, and because they didn't push my cuticles back it looked like it was already grown out. Not only that but I asked for sparkly snowflakes and I got one snowflake that was done so poorly I didn't want them to do more. The pedicure was just ok. She puts the tips on my nails and because I noticed and mentioned that it was glued on crooked, she got In her feelings and got all rude and didn't want to do my nails. She took them all off after cutting my own long natural nails. So i had to leave with damaged nails! They are unprofessional and rude! read more

I was really looking forward to giving this place a shot. I scheduled an appointment on Monday for a no chip pedicure. I was greeted immediately which is always a plus. I sat at the chair once I picked out a color. The man who was doing my pedicure must have been new due to my observations. He kept getting up as he was forgetting things to do my pedicure. When he was removing the no chip he didn't drill out the polish enough which I made him do over 2x. My biggest complaint he did not do a scrub but massaged me with lotion only. The massage was made with minimal pressure. The polish is b Nice man, but unfortunately lacked knowledge. I understand not being a regular and running a risk of trying new places but honestly the service could have been way better. read more

I've been going to Katie Nails for about 6+ years. Lily is amazing but all the staff are great! I've never had a bad experience. The environment is clean, they've always done a great job on my nails, and are always patient when I smudge my toe. When I started coming here, I lived in the area but now drive 35 minutes from home to come here, that's just how good they are and how much I recommend them! read more

For paying $50 for acrylic nails, I would expect them to last at least 2 weeks like you guys have stated. Instead I found my nails were breaking off in less than 5 days since getting them done. Simple tasks like opening my purse led to another nail popping off. Worst nail experience i have ever seen. My $5 press on nails stay on longer than this. I have been getting my nails done for last 8 years on my natural nails and I swear you CANNOT find someone that will either not cut you, sand your skin to death or just horrible service but I have finally found the best place ever!! Hue is amazing and she even talked to me the whole time and explained what she was doing i am in Love lbvs my toes feel amazing and best part I didn't bleed or get cut!!! Today was out first time here... We opted for the $55 hot stone pedi to soothe our achy feet (from 6mi walk earlier that morning). Overall it was very relaxing, had some temperature issues with the water, towels and stones... All of which easily remedied. Pressure was a bit on the light side. All in all it is an OK place. Clean, most of the staff is friendly and clean and polite but there is one girl who always parades around talking about all her dates and her manly conquests. She dresses trashy, talks pretty trashy. Not professional. The gentleman owner is very polite and professional, but the other guy that works there smells like smoke and stands out side and smokes which is not inviting at a nail spa. Some of the girls that work there try to talk you into services you do not ask for. That is tacky. If I wanted my eyebrows done I would have ASKED. I do not need you to tell me I need this or that. If the owner is there, the employees act professional and polite, but if he is not there, they get very lazy and talk on their phones. There are tons of nail shops in the area, so they need to step it up if they want to keep up with the competition. read more

Went in for a mani/pedi. Did a great job on my toes. However the nails, not so much. Crooked lines for my French manicure. :/ they will try to up grade you to a 'new' non chipping polish for a total of $40 (mani/pedi pricing I assume). Which isn't bad. But more than I wanted to spend. Being new to the area, I'll probably try another place or two. The decor is dated but the joint is clean! The Massage chairs aren't much to write home about. The back looked a little cluttered and they had on an odd choice of TV station, travel? Talking about speed boats? that was kinda weird. Friendly staff. read more

I went there today with my Mother at her recommendation. I had the deluxe pedicure which was amazing. My feet look and feel great! I decided to get my nails done as well and got a full set of dip nails. This is new to me but was told they help your real nails to grow stronger and not as damaging as acrylic. I love them! There was like 100 colors to choose from and I was shocked at how quickly they were done. They look great! The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. Everything was clean and sanitary. Karen did both my pedi and nails. I highly recommend her and will definitely go back and request her. It is hard to find a good nail place but this is a gem!! Thanks ladies! read more

The shop is clean and the staff is nice. Decent pedicure for $30 but the girls never trim my toes nails short enough - even when I specifically ask to have them clipped short. Who likes long toe nails? That's the whole point of the pedicure. To get those nails looking good, not looking like tiny daggers. read more

I have gone here a few times without any problems. The last time I went to get my acrylics taken off and new ones put on. By the time she was done my pinky nail was ripped off and bleeding and I left with a band aid instead of a painted nail and another finger was cut and bleeding under the nail. The price is right at Katie's, $37 for a mani/pedi-not bad! The staff all greeted me when I walked in. However, the technician assigned to me was on the phone nearly half the time I was getting my pedicure. In fact, while she was on the phone she nicked my toe. Ouch! Also, I felt that I was being rushed. Maybe I am spoiled when it comes to mani/pedi services, but I was really shocked that the tech did not rub my legs or give me foot massage. I have been going here for over a year. I just hate the way they talk about all of the customers, just because they say it in Vietnamese does not mean we do not understand. Lately the work has gone down hill. I always get gels, seems like the amount of coats is going down and the amount of chips and breakage I have had has gone up. I have used Kim but ever since the baby her work has become sloppy. This past session I had nails that had a shine coat only down the middle - not on the sides. Time for a change. I had been going to katies nails for over a couple years because it was recommended to me through friends. my first couple experiences were good, but the place has gone down hill. its deceiving because it is very well decorated and kept tidy. but the nails tecs are extremely lazy they do not check that nails are even or smooth, on numerous occasions i have gone back in within minutes of walking out through the door because i notices that my acrylics were lopsided to just be given attitude and then a sub par fix job. as soon as u walk though the door they push more services to you i.e. pedicure wax, design etc. it just makes the experience less enjoyable. not to mention that they are extremely over priced. there are way better quality places within a fifteen minute radius, don't waste you time. read more

Thought I would try this salon out for a no chip manicure - never again! I'm not surprised there wasn't a wait considering the horrible job they did on my nails. My cuticles look like they weren't even touched, I can see through the polish and there's nail polish missing all around the edges of my nails. This place is clean, fast, and professional. $37 for a mani/pedi is fine by me! They gave my feet and legs a good rub down/massage and the lady took great care when shaping my toenails. The only semi-gripe I have is that she shaped my fingernails a little too squarely and put alot more polish on, than I'm used to. So my nails don't have that professional, thin look (it looks more like I did my own nails. Oh well, other than all that this place is a good place to stop in to! read more

Been coming here for years. It's always a challenge to find the "right" nail tech for you based on preferences. I've found mine in Kim. She is meticulous, gives a great foot massage, my pedicures are always great and no-chip manis last for at least 2 weeks. The other nail techs are good but a few are so-so. I have gone for pedicures as well as no chip manicures, and have had excellent service every time. The no chips are the best I've ever gotten, lasting almost 3 weeks. I've been going here with my daughter for a few years on the recommendation of a friend but no more. When we go in together we get okay service but when she goes in alone she is ignored and treated poorly. Last time we went in together for eyebrow waxing the technician dripped wax on my shirt and didn't even apologize. The wax was also too hot and when I told her it was burning me she laughed and said it was fine. This weekend my daughter went in alone and had to wait almost 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that she was there. She told the technician she only wanted her brows neatened up and not too thin but came out with almost no brows at all! The wax was again too hot and she told the tech but again was told it was "just fine". She had red burns on her forehead and eyelids for an entire day after. The final nail in their coffin is that they don't allow tips to be added to credit card payments. It is against the credit card processor's agreements to not allow patrons to put their tips on their cards. Because of the bad service and this policy there have been a few times when I've had to leave without giving a tip. I'm sure they think I'm cheap for not leaving a tip but it is because of this illegal policy that they lose out. Other times when I've been prepared I've been known to leave a 25% tip when I get good service. Burning me and ruining my clothing does not earn you a tip in my world. When they first opened they were very clean and service was great but it has really gone down hill lately. read more

I went back once more ( stupid, I know)and the tech filed off my gel without soaking them. It was so painful because I had no nail left in some places. Worst pedicure, ever!. I have been here twice before and was very pleased. This time I had a gentleman. I had a flower design and he went to put the top coat on and it smeared. He had to do the nail over. He fanned it a couple times - went under the dryer, for a few, and once again he put the top coat on and it smeared again. Seriously, it needs to dry first. He wanted to try a third time. I said, No fix it the best you can and I'll put the top coat on myself. Needless to say, it does NOT look good and spent $32.00 for nothing. On top of that he got nail polish all over my sandals that I now have to try and clean off. read more

The first couples of time I went here they were pretty good, but the past 3 times I went, I got rushed through my appointment, my nails were uneven or really thick because they just layered new acrylic on. The nail polish was put on very uneven so you could see the darkness and lightness and streaks. They don't paint the whole nail either. Just looked bad. read more

Good pedicure, not the best I've had and not the worst. What I am completely unhappy about is my no chip manicure. I get manicures every 3 weeks. This is the worst I have ever had, ever. The tech was not using enough of the polish, and my nails looked streaky. I complained and said they look terrible and she stated "oh, maybe there is something wrong w your nails." Ummm, no.
