Not sure if the girl at the counter was just having a bad day or what, but I went into this place spending over twenty dollars for 3 drinks and getting some attitude back. Ordered a Ronin Matcha and an Americano. Got back to my car, took a sip of the Americano, and it tasted burnt to hell. Sucked up what tasted like a bunch of sand from the bottom and it turned it out it was just burnt coffee grinds. I went back to the shop and ordered another replacement drink for myself (A cookie crumble drink) and then asked the cashier if I could possibly have the coffee drink replaced. I've worked in food service before and know what a pain in the ass rude customers can be, so I was very deliberate in asking politely for either a refund or a remake of the drink. The girl looked immediately annoyed and remade it, then handed it back to me with a flippant "sorry," but anyone could tell she just sounded irritated and it just left a really bad impression of the place in general. I also drank the cookie crumble drink in the car and slurped up a bunch of air even when I stuck the straw right through the middle. Turns out they just covered the sides to make it appear like it was full. I tapped it down and the cup turned out to be a third empty because of the void in the middle of the shake. For this kind of customer service and a 2/3 filled cup, $6 for a drink is a scam. read more

First time trying this place. Placed an order on their kiosk for 5 drinks, one of the first people here. Worker nicely labeled each drink so it'll be easier. However, one drink was mislabeled as the "Ronin Matcha" when it was actually for a different customer's drink. I was driving and tasted the drink and immediately drove back, confused about why I had boba in my drink when I did not order it. After going back in to ask about my order, I was told when I was taking out the drinks from my order to check it, I "mixed it up" with someone else's drink and took his by mistake. That is not the case because my drinks were bagged (no cup holder by the way) and my drinks were clearly labeled. She was insistent that I mixed up the drinks, when in fact I did not, and she did not own up that she or one of her coworkers had mixed up the drinks when labeling the order. It tells me they are too new and need to take care when making drinks so this does not happen again to another customer. If it boba shop makes it past the first year, I'll consider coming back. read more

Fave local boba spot! Came for the trendy pretty cups and stayed for the drinks! Been coming since they first opened. There's a good variety of drinks from the signature ronin matcha (strawberry matcha), brown sugar series, to more traditional milk teas along with the varied toppings. Boba texture is consistent - with the right amount of chewy bounce which is always key to a good boba place. Also options on ordering - touch screen self ordering for the introverts or order with the person on site. There's a gentleman there that I've encountered multiple times recently that's super nice and helpful - even helped take some fun photos for my group against the large full wall screen. read more

I really like mini/small boba so 5 stars from me since the flavors are good, lines aren't bad, and they have an easy self serve kiosk. I ordered the brown sugar boba with the small/regular blend and my wife got jasmine milk tea. Satisfied the boba craving, and will stop by when I'm in the area. read more

Katsubo has some unique and tasty tea drinks that really left a good impression on me. I normally like my teas to be on the heavy tea flavor side, less syrup, but this time around I wanted to try the Ronin Matcha with Boba. With strawberry purée that you find in shakes and matcha flavor, the cream they use to mix it all made it unique and yummy. It's not overly sweet, but I would say 75% is a good spot. The boba they use was good flavor, soft, and easy to chew. Since tea shops are a dime a dozen I would definitely pick this one to come back and try a few more different options for fruitier mixtures that aren't milk teas. read more

I was assisted by a young man named Mahnee. He gave excellent customer service and is an asset to the store. I recommend the: Ronin matcha tea - 50% sweet with Oreo crumbles It is not too sweet even with the crème brûlée pudding. The matcha and strawberry go together nicely. You can skip adding the Oreo crumbles if you don't want something as indulgent, but I wouldn't say it's overboard either :-). read more

The place is pretty good. As of now, there's not much sitting area. I love the decor and style of the place. You can order by yourself at the kiosk. They have unique drinks. I got the watermelon tea. It's pretty sweet even with half sweet requested. I would get it less sweet read more

Went to Katsubo Tea for the first time on Sunday and really enjoyed my time there. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Service was quick and efficient. The berry berry lemonade I ordered was delicious. I really enjoyed the added touches like the box of free stickers by the checkout and the really interesting decor. I definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area and looking a refreshing beverage. read more

Ordered on the kiosks which was simple; we got a grapefruit slush w lychee jelly (75% sugar) and a matcha ronin w lychee jelly (50% sugar). Both were delicious but I really loved the matcha drink! So far so good.. I always get my drink between 0-25% sweet, so i will naturally have a more boring drink than usual. I like the flavor of sweet, but i do it for less sugar health reasons! I figure the housemade milk, the boba, and the cheese top, will make up for the lack of sugar! This place abides by the sweetness levels and when you say 25%, its 25%, which i appreciate. Today I tried the Toffee Assam Milk Cheese Tea with cheese foam and it was good. Inside they have an online ordering kiosk to order from but you can ask questions to the person behind the counter. It doesnt get hectic like Sunright Tea and the employees here are more attentive than over there! I compare the two because both places seem similar to me in tea taste and quality. One negative is that they dont answer their phone! The phone# posted in Yelp seems to be wrong or to someones personal cell phone.. read more

Really flavorful drinks and an extensive menu with unique variety of drinks. Almost overwhelming options, which is great but can be bad too if you know what I mean. Will have to return several times to try a fraction of the menu. Order and pay on a screen then drinks are ready within minutes. Highly recommend. read more

I ordered the Thai milk tea with boba, oat milk, 25% sweetness and regular amount of ice. I love that there are non-dairy milk options and options to adjust sweetness and ice. There are also many toppings and foams that can be added. Drinks are only one size, but there are several to choose from. The drink was perfect for my taste. The cup and cover are very secure; the cups are very sturdy and the attached cover is similar to a yogurt/aluminum peel off cover. I have a hard time with my teas that come in a cup with a separate cover, where the lid could pop off in transit, is sometimes not securely attached, and could cause spills or leaks. There's an option to place your order using a tablet or directly with an associate. Or you can order online and pick up. The associates were friendly and my drink was ready very quickly. I noticed another customer there, who seemed to be a repeat customer as the associate remembered his previous order and the customer seemed pleasantly surprised she had remembered, and they've only been open for almost 4 days, so it seems like people already like it here. I'd definitely come back again to order the same drink or to try another drink. I do wish there were other non-caffeinated options as it seems like everything has some type of caffeinated tea mixed in. But I do love my caffeinated tea! read more

I got their taro brown sugar and it is so good and the boba was so fresh and not too sweet. Their taro is real taro which I love taro. 2nd time ordering I got it for my friend and me. We got the strawberry yakult and aichi green tea Oreo. I finished it all and she loved her drink. I always love their dairy drinks but they also have dairy free options. Ambiance was amazing and even without an event going on, the staff always brings great customer service. I'm craving their cheese teas now lol. I included my digital receipts.
