On my continuous journey to try different matcha places, my bf and I decided to try Vivot. I've sampled a few of their drinks at past Yelp events but it was my first time at their storefront. Parking can be limited on the street and there is a paid parking lot. Just be aware of parking signs in the area. There is a good amount of seating inside but availability can be limited during busy times. There are two screens people can order from or if you have cash, you can order at the register. In addition to their drinks, there are some various food options such as muffins, spam musubis, and a breakfast burrito. We ordered a double matcha, matcha einspanner, and a breakfast burrito w bacon to share. The drinks were decent but I've had a better matcha einspanner elsewhere. We had to wait a bit until our burrito was heated or made. It was surprisingly pretty good!
Had the strawberry matcha, this was actually so so good. I'd go out of my way for it! Parking is annoying, but lots of seating and good place to work/study.
You can tell this place really cares about every drink they make! Prices were super reasonable for such good quality drinks! This is the perfect study spot as well, good amount of seating with good food and drinks! I got the peach matcha with hojicha foam, perfect amount of sweet and not overpowering peach flavor in my matcha which I love so much!
Best matcha cloud ever!! The foam was creamy and thick and kind of salty. They asked for the sweet level and I said zero and it was kind of salty the foam. I order the coconut water matcha simply delicious

Street parking and lot in the back not sure how that whole lot works since it's shared with all the businesses and there are signs all over and a parking machine as well so I was a bit confused with that parking situation it fills up quick. I parked and hurried to this place got my drink and left since I'm not familiar with this area. The place is not big a few seating. I got the strawberry matcha it was good. The staff were nice and helpful the gal that helped me was awesome. Overall a cool spot I will come back if I'm near or in the area their matcha was good.

As for the drinks themselves, my friend got the matcha americano and I really liked the taste and consistency of the matcha. I got the mango matcha, and I had to add another shot to taste the matcha. I felt like in the fruit drink, the matcha was more bitter and coarse. I was informed that the fruit matchas may have a different matcha shot consistency to make up for the flavoring, which would explain why I felt like there were taste differences between the two drinks. Overall, I thought the mango matcha was fine and I would like to try a different drink to see if the matcha taste and consistency is different if I choose a non-fruit drink!
We got the matcha cloud flight (comes with 4) with ube, banana, strawberry and sticky rice. The ube and banana were super flavorful but the strawberry didn't have as strong of a flavor. The sticky rice one was just normal matcha with pieces of sticky rice in it which I don't think I'd get again. They had a ton of other flavors I want to come back to try! Also got the egg sandwich and ube mochi brownie, both of which were so good! Bread was buttery and the egg salad was so flavorful. Ube mochi was flavorful and I liked the texture. I expected a chocolate brownie with ube but it's more like a nian gao (Chinese rice cake) texture and no brownie/chocolate in it. Forgot to take a photo of it but it was really good!
Was walking around downtown Fullerton and decided to pop in after hearing so many incredible things about this place, especially from TikTok! I tried a matcha latte as a baseline drink so I could really taste the matcha, and it did not disappoint. It was incredibly packed, but honestly, well worth the wait. The matcha was high quality and had a great flavor, although it was a little less sweet than I personally prefer. Definitely want to come back and try a matcha flight next!
I was dying to try the matcha flight at Vivot, the concept is definitely very cool and interesting and I did love trying all the different flavors. TBH all the flavored matchas were a bit too sweet for my liking and you couldn't really taste the matcha itself much, I did like the strawberry and banana version the most and I would like to try their regular matcha drinks for comparison. The chicken pesto sandwich was a solid sandwich, it was yummy, would be a good lunch item 8/10. The cafe environment is nice and small, but has lots of seating, many people are working, the cafe is right on street in downtown Fullerton so free parking is a 2-3 minute walk. Service is okay, but not the fastest due to being crowded.

The interior design is minimalist, giving the café a clean and relaxed atmosphere. Ordering is convenient with two self-service kiosks, and the menu is surprisingly extensive. In addition to food options, they offer a wide variety of drinks, including matcha, coffee, teas, and refreshing beverages, so there is something for almost everyone. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha and the Matcha Einspanner. While the drink sizes were generous, the flavor of the Strawberry Matcha was a bit disappointing. The strawberry flavor was very minimal, and the matcha itself was difficult to taste. My friend felt similarly about the Matcha Einspanner. Guess who's back? Back again... and this time my matcha brought a friend. Came back to see if the matcha was still as good as the first time--and yeah, it absolutely was. We also grabbed the chicken pesto sando and oh my god. Both are seriously good. Highly recommend. The shop stays busy and the vibe is great. This is hands down my favorite matcha spot. Still haven't found anything that comes close to how they make theirs. read more

My friends and I wanted to try this place out because of all the hype it had for the matcha drinks on TT, and we did just that! Stepping in, the shop shows a very modern and chic design. It's clean and has a good amount of seating. The cafe is located near CSUF, so I'm sure students frequent the place to hangout, study, or grab a drink. The wait time was decent, and staff was friendly. You can also watch the matcha being whisked and poured at the pick up area. I ordered the og matcha latte. I honestly thought it was decent. Nothing super amazing. I'd probably try a different drink if I decide to go back there. read more
This coffee shop can be a little hard to spot from the street since the signage isn't very noticeable, but parking is available behind the building. The atmosphere is casual with a natural, minimalist vibe. There are plants throughout the café, which adds a nice touch to the space. However, some of the plants looked like they could use a bit more care, and the café itself didn't feel as clean or well maintained as it could be. Despite that, the shop seems quite popular, with a steady flow of customers coming in throughout the day. Their signature drinks are the matcha-based lattes, and they offer a wide variety of flavors. On this visit, I ordered the Vietnamese coffee. It was very strong, rich, and sweet. The prices are a little on the higher side, but the drinks are unique and well made. One minor complaint is the to-go cups. They feel quite thin and flimsy, and I found myself being extra careful when carrying my drink because it didn't feel very sturdy. Customer service was good overall, and the staff were pleasant to interact with. read more
Craving matcha turned into a mild parking obstacle course near California State University, Fullerton, because apparently the real challenge is fitting your car into a space designed for a bicycle with confidence issues. Inside Vivot, it's giving "finals week survival zone" with students glued to laptops, one brave employee running the entire operation, and a self-order kiosk doing its best emotional support role. We kept our Matcha Latte classy, 25% sweetness with oat milk to really interrogate the matcha and honestly it passed the vibe check!! Smooth, solid, and worth the parking gymnastics. Oh and also, they are open late, closes at 11pm week nights and midnight on weekends. read more

Honestly was so disappointed - I've been before and it was fine but the quality really has dropped. This matcha cost me easily $8 and literally was milk and did not taste good. It was busy indoors but honestly not the greatest matcha - there are definitely other places I'd recommend. I think if you're more so looking for a dessert they have plenty of options but not a great pick for matcha. It's a great spot if you're looking to study or work from since there is lots of seating indoors. read more

I have been here 3 times. First time was good, I am a fan of their double matcha and customer service. Second time I came to try the matcha flights, they were horrible. Idk if they didn't add any sweetener but it was undrinkable, and all the flavors tasted the same, I couldnt figure out which drink was which. I also ordered a spam masubi and my friend got a breakfast burrito. When we ordered they were out of sausage for the burrito, so she got bacon. After ordering and paying, they tell me that they are out of spam masubi and refund me. Then minutes later, they tell me they don't have bacon for the breakfast burrito either, we had to get another refund. Today I came for their $3 drinks. They did not have the OG matcha listed, like stated in their instagram post, I got the fugi matcha, it was not good. I again ordered a spam masubi. Because it took about 30 minutes to order and get my food and drink, I was in a rush to leave to work, after getting in my car and driving away, I noticed they did not give me a spam masubi, they gave me what I assume was a ube brownie, i'm not sure if it is supposed to be served like this, but it was raw, and tasted like dough. I will not be coming back here. read more
Definitely a TOP TIER MATCHA place! Super busy at night - every single table was full! There is a lot of INDOOR seating here but no outdoor seating. The have restrooms here which is nice & accommodating! LOTS OF DIFFERENT FLAVOR OPTIONS - from Jasmine to ube, mango to banana, and more! It was all delicious and well made! Lots of yummy, unique bakery items as well. We got the matcha cloud flight (jasmine, ube, strawberry and banana) as well as the Blueberry Matcha Latte. Each of them was delicious - but the blueberry was by far my favorite! 10/10! We got 100% sweetness and the flavors balanced well with the matcha. I would definitely return here when I'm craving a matcha! read more
This is THE place to go for matcha. They have a matcha flight so you can try different flavors! They def have a fun menu, including non-caffeinated options. They also have milk substitutions at no cost, except something called Japanese soy milk $0.50. They also offer coffee. There are a lot of tables inside. Even on a Saturday night, many of them were occupied by people with laptops. It's great they close late (11PM). Was really hoping their matcha would be good since it seems like they specialize in matcha. We got the flight and a Pandan matcha. It's so sad to say that none of the matcha drinks stood out, it was from bad to decent. I got the banana, strawberry, mango and lychee. Best one was prolly lychee then mango and strawberry. The banana matcha was horrible couldn't taste the banana at all. I'm not sure if because I got the flight and the ratio was off or what but wouldn't be back here. The drinks looked pretty tho and the interior was cute. They have A LOT of matcha options which made it hard to pick which one they really specialize in. read more
I swear I thought I've left a review before but ig not. Vivot is probably somewhere in my top 15 matcha spots? They have plenty of seating and the matcha is good. I've had all the matcha on their menu and I love their matcha maniac. I haven't had their flights yet but someday.. maybe. The service is lacking sometimes, but on the bright side, they have 2 self serve kiosks if you have social anxiety. Store is usually clean too :) read more
Super cozy vibes here. It's giving cafe/let's chill and study. I'm here from Fresno and is visiting family, my cousin-law recommend trying this place. Located facing street, you can find some parking in the back parking lot. The order: I got a few items and honestly honestly, pretty darn good. They whisk the matcha here and it looks like matcha is their highlight items. Very popular. You can order at the self ordering kiosk , pick your matcha level , sweetness etc. It took about 15 mins for all my drinks to come out. I like that they tape off the opening of the drink if you take it to-go to limit spillage. No complaints here, great tasting drink and will come back when opportunity arises. read more
Avoid getting the matcha flight. Tastes nothing like their regular drink and seems like the ratio is off for the flight. Each one of them were milk heavy and wasn't cold enough. The cream was ok but the milk was too much. Ordered via kiosk and got drinks pretty quick. The matcha pandan was surprisingly balanced. Usually the panda flavor is too strong. The blueberry lavender matcha had a sweet lavender flavor with bits of blueberry. Busy matcha shop with decent amount of seating. Parking on streets for free or parking lot nearby with $5 flat rate. read more
GOING HERE AGAIN. This is my favorite matcha spot hands down. It's so good, rich and creamy taste with a strong matcha taste as well. The place is so neat and organized. I love their little frames with word definitions as it adds to the simplicity. It's a very simple but modern look with lots of small greenery here and there. Service was very efficient which kept the line going. Their matcha flight looks awesome so i'll be trying that next! Parking is a little hard however as I had to park on the curbside of the street, very limited parking. You would most likely have to park a little bit down from Vivot and then walk over, but it's not too far. read more

Upbeat vibes, service was quick and direct. Busy place, quite a few people studying around. Cute decorations around the store, ample seating. We got the matcha and Hojicha einspanner. To me, the matcha wasn't as intense as I'd hoped it would be, perhaps a little diluted? It felt somewhat creamy but didn't feel rich in flavor. Overall, it is a decent matcha drink and in the future I'd come back to try other drinks. My friend seemed to enjoy her Hojicha einspanner however! read more
I recently came back here with some friends and loved it all over again! The matcha was sooo good. We got two of the matcha flights, the Sweet Top flight and the Fruit flight and honestly, such a great deal. You basically get to try almost all of their matcha drinks, and it's crazy because they still have even more options. My favorites were definitely the strawberry matcha and the vanilla soft top matcha both were so good. The space is pretty big with lots of seating, but it does fill up quickly, so it can be a little hard to find a spot sometimes. That said, there are plenty of seating areas with chargers, which is a huge plus if you want to come here and get some work done. I also love that they close pretty late, so you have plenty of time to grab a drink, some food, and just hang out. The staff are super friendly too, and they don't rush you at all, which makes it such a nice place to relax and enjoy your time. read more

Self order kiosk at the front. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 1030am and thankfully no line. There's honestly no cons I can think of for Vivot. The high reviews are accurate because their matcha is really delicious, smooth AND aesthetic. I got the strawberry matcha latte & hub got the blueberry matcha. No complaints. They use high-quality matcha that doesn't taste powdery and the fruit purées are balanced well so it's not overwhelming. The strawberry matcha loaf was also good! Not too sweet which is always a great compliment for a baked item. What surprised me more is how frickin amazing their tamago (egg) sando is!! Pretty filling portions. Highly recommend it over the pesto chicken sando. read more
As the ultimate, self-claimed, matcha enthusiast, this was a huge disappointment. I got the einspanner & tamago sando. Matcha was good quality but felt really watered/ creamed down. I like my matcha bitter and grassy (like real matcha) and felt the einspanner had too much cream. Would be interested in trying the double or just the latte. Tamago sando was yummy but WAY too much bread and not enough egg. The bread was overwhelming. Went on a 8am weekday and I was the only one there. It took me so long to try this and as a matcha lover I regret it! The menu is HUGE which I love there's so many flavors you can't really find somewhere else. We came late afternoon on a Saturday and it wasn't too packed, we got seating and waited maybe 5 minutes for our drinks. My favorite was the Pandan milk matcha, it had a great balance of flavors without being overly sweet. Their plain matcha less sweet was good for someone who doesn't love sweet stuff. The eispanner with horchata cloud was good too once you mix it all in which I definitely recommend! read more
Came here this morning for matcha and a croissant sandwich. I got the ube matcha at 125% sweet. It was amazing. My friend got the regular matcha and ham&Swiss croissant sandwich and loved them too. The inside and outside are very cute! It's also right in the heart of downtown fullerton so it's such a cute area. Very clean, lots of seating, and just great vibes. The girl making the drinks was so sweet and she made our drinks delicious. Overall, 10/10 on drinks, service, and vibes. I'll definitely be back for more, next time I'll try the matcha flight! read more

My coworker brought me here to try a matcha for the first time! Coffee is my favorite drink so I knew it was going to be tough for Vivot to win me over. I got a matcha and a delicious cookie. The matcha was good, but it just doesn't hit the same way a coffee does . You could tell that the ingredients were high quality and the baristas were skilled. This place was pretty popular. There was a good sized queue and there are tablets to place your order on. The baristas are nice and friendly. The look of the inside of the shop gives clean girl and plant girl. Lots of white and airy brightness. If I can get myself to become a matcha fan in the future, I would definitely come back! read more

This place was ~alive~ even at 9pm with a line and people studying...I was much intrigued. Such a nice and airy space with plants around -- even ones they are selling. Looots of seating and I can see that this is a great study spot for college students, which I wished I had during undergrad. You order at the single kiosk. Good amount of options from regular tea, boba tea, matcha, and hojicha. They had your einspanner option with that sweet whipped milk foam top and fruit puree at the bottom (mango, strawberry, and raspberry). A hard choice had to be made, but I decided on the hojicha einspanner and my sister opted for the mango matcha. I neeeed that hojicha powder. Great flavor of that nutty "chocolate" profile. Not too rich though with the einspanner balancing out, which was more on the liquidy creamy side than thick. What did throw me off was the cinnamon. The mango matcha was just okay. Couldn't really taste the flavor of the matcha as much, but it had more of a bitterness / sour note... The mango was also just kind of ~there~ Seems like a solid spot. I wouldn't be mad if i studied here and had to drop a bit of a bag to get drinks here due to the lovely ambiance with ample seating! read more

Such a cute matcha spot! I really enjoyed that it's self-service and lets you customize your drink exactly how you like it. They offer a variety of cold foam flavors, different non-dairy milk options, and adjustable sweetness levels, which is always a plus. The matcha itself was so good, you can really taste the ceremonial-grade quality throughout the entire drink instead of it getting lost among the other flavors. The atmosphere is also super relaxed, with lots of people hanging out, studying, or just enjoying their drinks. I would love to come back to try out more flavors. read more

I've been to Vivot Craft Café in Fullerton multiple times now, and it's officially one of my go-to spots when I'm craving matcha and a cozy late-night hang. First of all, I love that they're open late. It's honestly hard to find cute café spots in OC that don't close super early, so Vivot automatically wins points for being the perfect late-night yap + dessert spot. Their matcha is consistently good -- creamy, earthy, and not overly sweet (which I appreciate). You can adjust the sweetness level, so whether you prefer a stronger, more traditional matcha flavor or something lighter and sweeter, it works either way. It doesn't taste artificial or watered down -- just smooth and well-balanced. And if you go, you have to get the sandwich. It's easily one of my favorite items on the menu. The bread is perfectly toasted with that slight crisp on the outside, and the fillings are generous and flavorful. It's satisfying without feeling too heavy, and pairs so well with one of their drinks. The space itself is cute and comfortable -- great for studying, catching up with friends, or just winding down at night. Every time I've gone, everything has been consistent, which is why I keep coming back.
