They do really good work too! I see why everyone's reviews mentioned the wait because I definitely had to wait some time. However, it was was worth it. The price wasn't bad either. I've been looking for a new detail spot as others in Katy have gone downhill badly in terms of service and outrageous in terms of price. So I stopped here on my way to the vet (shout out to Mayde Creek Animal!). It was beyond reasonably priced for a vacuum & carpet shampoo, interior clean, and exterior clean. The service was quick, efficient, and well done. Now, was it PERFECT? I used to go to this place when I lived in the area a few years back. I recently went there again because they used to do such a great job at cleaning my vehicles. This time they were pretty bad. They left water spots and places they were not touched all over my truck. When I asked them to clean the areas, I was told that they cannot take water spots off and there was nothing they could do about it. I tried looking for a decent carwash on maps and came up empty handed. Yelp definitely did not disappoint. This is truly a hand car wash. They do take credit cards. The wash itself, which includes the hand wash and vacuuming inside was only $25! I had a stained seat that I had tried removing on my own before but could not. They charged me an extra $5 to clean the whole seat, and it looks like new! I also paid the additional $5 to have my interior Armor-alled. If you want your trunk to be cleaned as well, be sure to let them know. I wish I would've taken a picture for before, but I honestly didn't think to. My backseat was empty but dirty. I have black interior and a white dog that sheds like you would not believe. Even with her back seat cover, her hair still manages to get everywhere. When I got my car back, there was no trace of my dog there AT ALL. These people pay attention to detail and are so extremely thorough, my car looks brand new. They did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend going early if you're going on a weekend, I did have to wait quite a while before my car was worked on (about 30 minutes) Honestly, it was well worth the wait and I probably would've waited even longer. My first time coming to this car wash was with my step mother they took a very long time and cleaned it well, even though it had spots still seen. I came in my own car today to get it washed inside out. My car was not cleaned properly. I had to ask twice could they vacuum it properly and clean it again. It was a very bad experience. While the price hasn't changed much, which I truly appreciate and strongly believe they could've raised the price, the service isn't the best in the area anymore. They used to take time to wash the car, interior and exterior, carefully. I still remember being amazed at how shiny clean my car was when I first got it washed here but nowadays, my car is left with multiple spots that should've been clean easily. It just doesn't feel clean or look any different after getting washed, feel like they didn't do much except for vacuuming and wipes around for a bit. After a number of road trips to/from Austin, my car was in need of a serious car wash. I asked around and didn't get any rave reviews, so I turned to Yelp and found this gem. We drove over and had some difficulty finding the location. It's on the corner of N. Fry and Sun Glen Blvd in the Shell Gas station parking lot. There's one small sign and a couple of flags. You get in line heading into a concrete shed. There's no pricing signage. This is completely incognito, but it's worth the time to figure it out. We stayed in the car (essentially because we didn't really know what was going on) while the hand car wash started. There was 5 people washing the outside of the car. Once done, we pulled forward and were directed into one of the tent covered bays. Here 4 more people began the external detailing and the internal cleaning. At this point, we had a chance to speak to the manager to sort out how much this was going to cost. External car wash with internal vacuuming was $25. For an additional $5, they applied Armor All to the interior of the vehicle. Once the 35 minute cleaning was complete, I paid $30 and drove off with a car that looked as nice as the day we bought it. I have no idea how they turn a profit here. The quality of work is extremely high for a steal of a price. Everybody was very nice and focused. We spoke to a couple of regulars who explained they've always had the same positive experience. The only drawback relayed to us was that the wait can get long. When we left, there was a line of 6 vehicles waiting, so I can understand what they meant. Either way, we will be back. read more

I'm not even from Katy, I live in Austin, to be exact, but a work trip had me in Katy for a couple days and my car needed a wash. Used yelp and passed over the overpriced and low-rated chain car washes thanks to some other reviewers. For real, don't let the cover of Katy Hand Car Wash's book fool you. They know what they're doing, use microfiber towels when washing and drying. Also, they removed some pesky adhesive leftover from some decals I removed. The wash was $15, the adhesive removal was $10, I was shocked and said "I'll pay more!!" For just $25, I was super happy, and the car was clean for a good couple of weeks, even through a couple of rain showers. Another work trip had me in Houston, so before I went home, I made sure to make another stop with the fine workers at this car wash. read more

Two things I learned about hand car wash places in Texas: 1. Do not sit in car during the hand car wash with your hyperactive Boston terrier - It is not the same as a auto car wash!! He kept trying to eat the sponges as they sloshed across the windows. 2. What a bargain!! My car is sparkling and they vacuum and wiped down the interior until pristine. For $25 it was worth it! It's literally in a gas station parking lot. They use the bay of what was once one of the drive through car wash like most gas stations have. You pull in, they will do the works for $25. Definitely worth it. My car had been driven 150+ miles daily to and from a job site at a refinery for for 10 weeks or so. Filled with dust, dirt. The outside was what you would expect from a daily long trip driver in southeast Texas; bugs covered the front and hood, nasty dirt and grime covered the rest of the car and wheels. 25 minutes and $25 later my car looked and smelled new. I tipped an extra $25 just because most places charge a minimum of $50 for the same or less quality. read more

I've been here probably 4 times now. The first 3 times they did a great job, they took their time and made sure I was happy with it. (I have dogs so my car looks crazy dirty when I go in). But today when I went, they were busy, and I felt like they just rushed to get me out. There was a truck that was there right before me, they were taking their sweet time with it. They took probably 15 minutes on my car, which is odd cause it normally takes 30 minutes. They didn't wipe down everything, and they left a lot of dirt/ hair in the back.
