Anyway, the owner Joe told me that I need two hoses, and radiator flush, plus fluid.

Took my 2010 Sienna in for oil change after getting bad feels about the national chain JL and looking through the reviews here. Check in was quick and efficient with simple one page to set things happening. Owner(?) knew the recommended oil (Toyotas are weird like that) and shared dirt on filters; they're basically all the same. Waiting area is basic but comfortable though service was so quick it hardly mattered tbh. Service tech let me know everything looked good as he returned with keys and such. Final check out lady was strong with customer service and even guided me to the restroom. When asked about a transmission fluid change the tech said everything looked good and didn't attempt upsell or anything!!! - Brilliant though I'll certainly be back to Noah when / if / as the Great Green Beast needs anything. When I had the car towed there, they then said that it was too old to be worked on, despite already knowing the year/model of the car earlier on the phone. Luckily there was another repair shop nearby that was willing to work on it, but I had to drive it the short distance which I was unsure I'd make.

I rarely leave reviews, so this should say a lot…read more I brought my 2018 Volvo S90 to Eric's Car Care for an A/C diagnostic because the air was blowing hot. I had a scheduled appointment and dropped my car off around 7:00-7:30 a.m. on Friday, yet I didn't get my vehicle back until Monday. I also never received an update call--I had to call them myself. While delays can happen, my real concern is the accuracy and honesty of the information I was given. After their inspection, I was told my vehicle needed a new A/C compressor, condenser, and expansion valve, bringing the total repair cost to $6,411.07, including labor. That is a major expense, so I declined the service and sought a second opinion. I then took my car to Alpine Motor Works, where they identified the actual issue: a leaking Freon valve. They replaced the valve and recharged the A/C system, fully resolving the problem for $205.65 total. There is no reasonable explanation for being told I needed over $6,000 in repairs when the real issue was a minor leak. This feels extremely misleading and unprofessional. I was even encouraged to finance the repair and pay off the balance within 90 days, which now feels even more concerning given how unnecessary those repairs turned out to be. Being given such drastically incorrect information after a diagnostic is unacceptable. Customers rely on shops to provide honest assessments, not inflated repair recommendations. I will not be returning, and I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to major repairs here.

Dear Homeless Person:…read more While I'm sympathetic to your plight, I did not pull into this gas station for the purpose of bringing you some coin or to hear your life story. I'm sure the life story would make for a compelling Lifetime Movie of the Week, though, so don't stop chasing that dream. The unfortunate reality is that my horseless carriage needed sustenance and this is one of the cheapest stations in the area. Granted, it works for you since it is at a major intersection (South Main and the South Loop) but I'd ask that a moratorium on solicitations be proposed at the upcoming 2011 Homeless Convention (This year's theme: "Enjoy the Outside!" yet, ironically, the site is still to be determined). In return, I will refrain from colliding with you and your party members as I enter the parking lot. Deal? I can see how y'all love this spot since it is a clean modern facility - and has a bonus feature of having a McDonald's restaurant attached to it. A veritable one-stop shop for both motorists and homeless alike. We can rub shoulders inside - though, I'd prefer to just offer you a cheerful wave from a comfortable personal distance instead. Something about having half an Egg McMuffin woven into your nest-like beard jangles with my inner soul. Regrettably, I've tried to see if all of the negatives were a one-time thing. But, it was not. When I actually enjoy seeing the store clerk since he projects an aura of protection much like Gandalf the White Wizard ("You will NOT pass!") does for Frodo, you know the homeless are quite the army of Orcs. I'll give you this: You and your homeless buddies are consistent in the panhandling. So, until that time that I see the ratification of the Chevron Moratorium in writing (and not signed with the Homeless President's auto-pen), I'll have to skedaddle to another gas station such as the Kroger fuel center or Valero up the street and pay a few pennies more per gallon as "protection money". If I have the…read moreopportunity to plan my fill-ups, I would go to a different area of town, but that's not always an option. The one pro I can say is that the gas here is good. I've had problems with gas quality from other gas stations in the area, but never here. It's also decently priced. Nine times out of ten, I am approached by someone asking for money when I stop at this gas station. I've become accustomed to this, so I just tell them no as I see them walking towards me. But, if this kind of thing bothers you, I'd suggest going to a different station in a different part of town. Also, this is attached to a McDonalds, so there is all kinds of crazy drivers who will run you down while they try to fulfill their McCrack fix.
