Midtown's people are polite and accommodating, returning my newly detailed SUV back to me a couple of hours early. Communication was good after completion; they texted me that my vehicle was ready, which I appreciated. However, the communication could have been better at the start. I called and stopped by the day before to get a quote and go over the details of what I needed. As it turned out, the person I spoke to hadn't entered my appointment into the system, let alone any notes about my preferences. But the Midtown folks honored it anyway. My vintage vehicle was a disaster when I left it at Midtown, but they worked hard to clean it and make it look much better. The price I was given at checkout was about $60 higher than what I was quoted that morning. But considering what a challenge my vehicle presented, I opted not to challenge it. I got their interior preserver and they detailed every corner and area of the interior as it was much needed. You just book your appointment online and takes about an hour or depending on the package you select. They have waiting area inside so either you can wait or can drop off the car. They take their time, they ensure you pick the right package for you, they are definitely worth the wait and the money! Will be back again in future. read more

Great service! pulled up right away a lady comes and looks at the outside and then took a glance at my interior. Immediately she suggested this package and explain in detailed why. She didn't try to upsale which is what I loved. I walked into the lobby to wait for my vehicle to be finished. As opened the door to walked in. I saw a wall full of other options that could be added to the vehicle such as, Window Tint and also Paint Protection Film. When the car was finished she came and let me know the car was ready. I paid and walked towards the car. As I got near the door one of the staff members opened the door for me to get in. Made an online appointment 1 day in advance and selected the largest "oversized" vehicle option for my passenger vans. Upon arrival was notified there would be a $30 up charge per vehicle to clean bugs off windshield. So I canceled my appointments and left. Best detailing shop ever! This is the only car wash place I know that has someone check your car to make sure you get a flawless vehicle back. I asked for the interior preserver and when the service advisor inspected the vehicle at arrival she told me it wasn't needed at that time and told me to pick the package under it because they didn't want me to spend more money on something that wasn't needed just yet. They take their time, they ensure you pick the right package for you, they're honest, and if they do miss something that you notice they do everything they can to make it right before they let you leave. Went to this place and paid for the most expensive car wash they offer which was $255. I left my car up there for 2 days and came back and one of my window panels was completely torn off and they stuck it back in there so I wouldn't notice . The next day I dropped my convertible top and the panel fell out as I rolled down my windows. Of course they won't reimburse me because the "camera footage" doesn't show them breaking it but Ok so my window panel just mysteriously fell off right?! They said they never dropped the top or rolled my windows down like a panel couldn't be broken or torn off without that happening! Warning! If you go here take pictures and video footage of your car before you visit this place or they will insult your intelligence and tell you they didn't damage your car when clearly it wasn't damaged before you came. read more

I've been meaning to post a review for MMT, but if you look at my check ins, you'll see that I don't always take the time to write a review. That being said, as much as I depend on others' feedback when making a decision about a business, I've decided it's important that I share my perspective as well. I've worked hard to have the nicer things in life and, when you pay a lot for something, you want to keep it in great condition. MMT helps me keep my BMW looking and smelling like new. I've been taking my car there since the change of ownership, and as many have mentioned, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They've not only detailed my car, they've removed/buffed some paint from the front of my car (yeah, I accidentally scraped the side of my garage), and I took my mom's car to get the windows tinted - great job on all 3!! I suppose some may say the price is a bit on the high end, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". I have and will continue to recommend this place to friends and family. I've been using MMT for years, on a few different cars, and their attention to detail has never wavered. If you're looking for a legitimate hand-wash service, a process that won't leave swirl marks in your paint, this is your spot. Judging by the high dollar vehicles that frequent the establishment regularly, I'm not alone on this opinion. Most times I use the basic executive wash, at $30. Every 3 months, they apply a basic ceramic coating for $70 (including wash) that does a great job of beading up water and keeps the car cleaner for longer. If you pony up the price for paint correction, their work is par none. A litany of cars, ranging from older BMWs & Porsches to newer Mclarens & Lamborghinis, can be seen trusting MMT and their services here on the regular. I Spent a few days looking for a trustworthy spot to get PPF and ceramic coating for my brand new car. My friend recommended Midtown Motor Trends, and said they do a really good job. I immediately contacted them. Korn was great with communication and made it so easy to get everything set up! Upon arrival, Carlos greeted me and went straight to business and did a thorough inspection of my car. You can tell this guy is good at what he does. He was great in communicating what and when things were done. This business is blessed to have someone like him! Really cool guy! I was told that everything would be done in about 3 days, but I got a text literally the next day saying that I was ready for pick up! They work quick without cutting corners. I couldn't pick it up the next day so they kept it safe so I could pick it up the day after. When I saw the finished product, I can say that it looked better than when I drove it off the dealership lot. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I'm only going to recommend MMT to everyone. First of all, as some already know, there's a huge niche market for car washes in Houston. As a result, car wash prices are inflated compared to other places. Nevertheless, the concept of Motor Trends makes sense: a high-end place to get your higher-end vehicles cleaned. The service and waiting area definitely gives off that lux vibe. The free beer and Apple TV was a nice touch, but the actually cleaning job fell short of expectations. I was convinced to get the interior cleaning service with my car wash and of course, was told the wait would be worth it. After a solid hour, I found my car to be "cleaner" than before in the outside, but the interior was barely touched. There were those awfully dreaded grey water streaks everywhere and my outer dash board and sunroof wasn't even touched. I also question if they even use leather cleaner for the seats because it lacked that smooth feel (hope it wasn't water) I drove home and cleaned the interior again myself. Now, I understand that they may have more "comprehensive" packages for interior cleaning, but I can name at least 2 places in Houston that does a fantastic job with interiors at a lower price. Either way, I'm sure this place is a decent option for some, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. read more

She seems to not like dogs which is fine I didn't mind sitting outside it was a beautiful day but she also told me the dog hair wouldn't be vacuumed which left me very confused because MrCarwash does a great job at vacuuming it up every 2 weeks. I had 2 8lb chihuahuas that barely shed. I would understand if I had a large longer hair dog. She just seemed super irritated with me from the second I arrived. $50 for a basic wash vacuum tire shine and to wipe the dash board is a bit much. The Hispanic guys that clean the cars are very kind and courteous it took them less than 30 min to get me out of there. She's the only reason I won't go back. read more

Unfortunately I was disappointed with my first visit to Midtown Motor Trends. While everyone was really friendly, the car wash was certainly not worth $17. They gave me a free drink coupon to the bar across the street and told me it would be 20-30 mins, which I expected and was okay with. 10 minutes later he tells me my car is done. I do a quick inspection, touch the car, and my fingers show lots of dirt. It seemed as if they didn't even use soap and water and just wiped it down with towels. I asked specifically for my windows to be cleaned and I could see dried water marks on each window. The windshield had obvious dirt/water marks left on it. The rims were also poorly cleaned. I'm giving 4 stars but with continued good service, I expect to change it to a 5. I live in Midtown so this is a super convenient place to bring my car for a wash. It's definitely not quick but when I'm paying a flat fee for a service, I'm not going to complain about attention to detail and a long wait (I just walk home, thankfully). The first time I came my boyfriend and I dropped off our cars. There were maybe 1-2 other vehicles there and it took about an hour and a half. Again, I wasn't concerned with time. When we came back, my car still had a residue on the front. When I pointed this out, the man at the front said that that would require a special wash to get off and wouldn't just come off with a scrub. I showed him that I was able to get it off with just a swipe of my finger (not all of it, but I wanted to demonstrate that it shouldn't require a special wash) and asked if he would fix it. He agreed, and I waited another hour for the cleaning to be complete. When I returned again, the car was spotless. I was irritated that this wasn't washed the first time, as it came off relatively easily. The other times I have come I have gotten good service and my car has been clean the first time. It's definitely more expensive and takes longer than other places like Splash, Aqua, etc. but you're getting a better wash so I guess it depends what you're looking for. read more

I took my car there finally two months later after driving half way across the country with my cats and dogs moving to Houston- the car was filthy inside and out. I forgot how brilliant my mini was - especially as it used to be on a gorgeous summer day back in Florida. They brought back it's glory on the inside and out. It's sparkling again in Houston! The manager was awesome - I called after trying to find a full service car wash no longer in existence. I still do not know the area and my iPhone GPS gets me lost often. He helped me with directions - it was worth the drive. Andrew, the manager, and staff were so great. Attention to detail was incredible. I was embarrassed at the shape of my car- and they made know judgements-helped me decide on the services I needed. The cigarette ashes in every crevice were gone. The car smells amazing.
