The service was horrible I waited 10 mins before the waitress came to the table.. The crawfish was the worst I've had. They were Luke warm at best... Manager came over and had an excuse like this is the first time I've had crawfish. They should be hot when served. The salt or seasoning on top would make one's blood pressure go up for sure. So so so salty I had to dip in butter sauce just to get the salt taste off. Thankfully I only ordered 3 lbs even though it was a waste. I would not recommend this place and it's not the first time there . Last time their fish was not cooked in the middle. read more

This is by far my favorite crawfish spot...my husband and I eat crawfish anywhere and everywhere we go but we can't find any flavor like this one... the spice is cooked through the shell to the meat which is uncommon lately, the size are impeccable, and the service just makes it so much better. It doesn't stop there though- I've had their chicken salad, burgers, tornado potato, and everything we've tried has been fantastic! The fact that management is always striving to make our day brings us back every time! We LOVE David, he works his butt off to be everywhere contributing in every way he can. I'm not sure what's happened, but every visit over the last couple of months has left much to be desired. Tonight was especially lacking considering NUMEROUS tables were open outside but everyone was being told that no seating was available and that the wait was over 30 minutes, with over 20 names on the waitlist. It was so off-putting that I went back inside to the hostess desk to get a better understanding of what was going on. I was told that they were short on staff and the "weather" was an issue. The rain had already passed and the tables were covered from the weather. This is probably the 3rd time that we have been told they were low on staff and it affected the ability to be seated. Something has to give. This a regular, close spot, with live music, for us to hang, and it looks like we will have to do without based on these last few shenanigans. read more

Went to Vortex, after seeing them on FaceBook (Katy/Fort Bend Foodies), for my son's birthday. We had the Cluster bucket and it was awesome. It was spicy but that is the way we like it. One of the General Managers came over to our table and we had a nice conversation. These are great folks and the service was great. We loved it and we will be back. read more

I asked him if he assumed I wanted to hear profanity because of who I am (african American) and what he sees?..he just looked at me. I repeated to him that I didn't request music with profanity I'm only giving him feedback so why would you assume I'm asking for music with profanity and you obviously don't care about what I'm saying(adam shrugs shoulders). It's a good a spot to chill. Drinks are priced fairly - not expensive but not cheap. The food is pretty good and staff is super nice. I had a bad experience years ago and haven't been back. I recently went for some drinks and sat at the bar. Service was great and the crawfish was delicious. If I could give this place a zero I would. The only reason i give it some stars is the DJ. He was awesome. They have new management which means several changes. No more hookah no more great menu. If you looking for old Katy vibes it's gone... also the menu says they will automatically add 20% gratuity over $150 but it's $100 so expect that charge for not so great service. The hostess didn't seat us and it took a while for menus and food. The food isn't bad but definitely not worth the price. There will also most likely be a cover charge. read more

So we went to try this out on a whim. We had to wait a good amount of time to be acknowledged, and multiple people saw us awkwardly standing at the front before helping. After someone finally got us seated, 5 servers walked passed us without saying a word. It wasn't busy at all, either. It's a little odd to have to pay a cover to go to a bar. That being said they have a spacious dining area with live music. I attempted to enter this restaurant at 545p. I asked to the host to sit at the bar. Another man was standing there and stated I will have to hurry up and leave because the live band was about to start. Now I watched others come behind me and this statement wasn't made to them. Now I understand there is a cover charge once the band starts. However the option wasn't to pay the cover charge I was told I had to leave as if I was disservice to their establishment. The frozen margarita was really good. The server was attentive, and the atmosphere was fun. My husband and I were out on a date, and they sat us by the bar area, which had a nice separation from the rest of the seated area for families and such. I just had my Birthday gathering at Katy Vibes on Sept 4th. My Birthday was actually the coming Tuesday. I've always enjoyed myself but this particular night my Man paid for our food but I had 20+ guest along with us and a few did not pay their bill and I was forced to pay for them because they left. 280 dollars and I was very upset because the manager who was very nice the whole night until this was brought upon us. I did not like how I was treated because of someone else. I would NEVER go anywhere if I can not pay for what I want or need. I was told the police would be called but for who? Not me because I paid my bill. That's management job to figure this out. Very disappointing and embarrassing. Guess I know who to invite next time ABSOLUTELY NO ONE BUT ME AND MY MAN! This is our fifth night out at Katy Vibes in the last year, always to see bands that we like. The door staff is super slow (every time) and it takes four or five minutes for them to handle one couple or group of people. The bartenders have been amazing each time, as have the server staff. The sound has been really bad each time. Bands that we see elsewhere sound really bad here. Something needs to be done with the acoustics in this place!!!! Overall, this is a really cool place but there are a few areas that need attention. Sound/acoustics and help staff at the door. We will be back, but this place could be so much better with these two key areas fixed!! read more

The food service was great but the karaoke DJ cared more about his music, and his singing, despite the long list of patrons waiting to participate. After waiting for two hours, we asked where we were. He said he was going to move us up next then he himself gets up a sings another song.
