This is a bakery and Sandwich shop. Seems to be popular with the lunch crowd. Service was slow as we stood and waited at the cash register to be acknowledged. There were a number of staff but none greeted or acknowledged incoming customers until the person in charge of the register came to take our order. Food was good and plentiful quantities. Sad sandwiches. Ordered the BLT and French dip on Rye. They could not manage to get the bread order right but we ate white anyway. The BLT was almost empty besides the generous mayonnaise holding bacon and thin cut tomatoes. The French Dip was bland. Better off going to Jimmy John's for better quality and price. Military discounts only valid for those in uniform means receiving uncomfortable stares by the oddly packed restaurant. What more do our service members need to prove??? read more

My first and last time to visit here. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich but beforehand asked what was in it? The menu said white chicken, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato. When I got it it had onions and celery maybe. Opened the box and went up and explained that I wasn't told of the onions. They would not refund me my sandwich or exchange it. The manager was rude and said I asked the wrong question when ordering so it was my fault. It took them 5 minutes in the back deciding if they were going to do anything for me. I have been to Katy's Pantry several times. Not for the food, definitely not for the service, but mainly because there is not many alternatives in Enid. The food can be okay at times but the horrible service is just not worth it. Their biggest issue is the fact that they have many teenagers that work there that have absolutely no customer service training. They answer the phone with "hello" and never say "thank you" after you order. I recently called-in an order of 2 sandwiches. The girl that was taking my ordered asked me to repeat my order twice. After I picked it up, I got home to find that one of my sandwiches was incorrect. I called back to inform them of the incorrect order and it was the same girl that took my order. She did not apologize for the incorrect order, but instead asked me if I had already paid for it....yeah, that happened. I then told her I wanted my ordered fixed and I went back to pick it up. Low and behold, I arrived and told them what I was there to pick up. The same girl who I spoke with on the phone handed me a bag. I said "thank you" and she said, "uh huh." So I take my food back home and open it up. It was salad. Not what I ordered. I think this small example speaks enormously to the lack of training the employees have. All told, this resturant has terrible service (not necessarily rude service, just really bad) their food takes forever to get to your table, and their prices are ridiculous for what it is. Their military discount is also an issue I have. They only offer a military discount for a military member in uniform. I stopped in here with my sister a week or two ago. They have a large assortment of pastries on display when you walk in. I had their cheesecake, cucumber salad, and fruit cup. The new location is great, this is one of the few places in Enid you can take someone from out of town and not be embarrassed by the service or the ambiance. Prices are anywhere from $8-$10 per person, and they are open past 2pm... which is something I didn't think was possible in Enid! I have had a couple sandwiches, the chicken salad sandwich, club, and french dip were great, and they have a nice selection of soups and salads with homemade dressings. I went to Katie's pantry a few week after I became vegan. I had been there a few times before and those times were nothing special. My food was fine. The places itself is beautiful but it always takes a long time to order. This past time that I went I told the front lady that I was vegan and I couldn't have any animal products. And I was going to ask if any of the breads were vegan. (Because most place have a vegan bread) to get some avocado toast. When she so quickly cut me off and said so a salad. I laughed and said actually no I was wondering if... when she cut me off again and said the only thing we have for you here is a salad and a fruit cup. Unless you want fries that's are cooked in the same fryer as the meat. I felt almost embarrassed as there were now a lot of people behind me. As there usually is there. And just said fine to the salad and fruit cup.(Which the fruit cup was very good, salad was not) but still It was so rude of her to keep cutting me off, to only assume that a salad was the only option, and for here to not pay attention to the paying costumer. I'm not saying every places needs a full vegan menu. I know that especially being in Enid OK. But the way I was treated was unacceptable. So I won't be going back even if the place is pretty because the service is terrible and the wait to order along with the average food isn't worth it. read more

This is a quaint little place inside Oakwood Mall. They serve soups, sandwiches, cookies and cakes. I don't like their cookies at all. I guess a lot of people do, but I don't. When there's a Great American Cookie Company across the food court, I'd much rather go there. Their sandwiches are really good! They have Katy's Bread that is made there and is quite amazing and very sweet. They do have a strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese icing....A-MAZ-ING!!!!! However, it is a very very pricey place to eat a soup and salad. I was shocked. So, overall, really good desserts if you're not eating the cookies. Nice sweet bread. Too pricey. read more

The food is great. The sugar cookies are world-class and nothing short of amazing! The sugar cookies are far and above any I have had anywhere else. My grandparents live in Enid and this is one of the first stops on every visit. We live on the east coast and I always do a walkabout at Katy's just to double check I have not missed a recipe book to explain how to make them when I can't make it 1k miles west. These things have a huge following and certainly live up to it in every bite. Don't believe me? I'm rating this purely for the cookies aspect...as I have not had a chance to try the food yet. My fiance was born in Enid and his favorite cookie was from Oakwood Mall this little bakery. When he would be away for baseball his mom would send him cookies. Our first season apart, I decided to suprise him with a dozen. They are big cookies and the icing has some almond extract in them. They are the MOST delicious and addictive cookies I have ever eaten! Since they are rather large cookies, it is perfect to just eat 1 and have a glass of milk or coffee with it :) Delicious! We drive down to Enid sometimes to pick up some, but they are expensive cookies...but worth it if you're like my fiance and eat one a day. read more

This is a great little local cafe/restaurant. They have amazing pantry bread!! Their Bacon is always cooked perfectly. They fun shaped iced sugar cookies for the kids. And plenty of desserts to pick from including:pies, brownies, cake, etc. On my trip I got a half & half: sandwich and soup. My sandwich was the Turkey & cheese(Swiss) it was very good! And my soup was Broccoli & cheese, it had good flavor...but wasn't hot, it was barely warm and I tried it before I took a bite of my sandwich. That is why I took a star away. Staff was very friendly! We have been going to Katy's Pantry for over 30 years. This has always been one of my 30 year old daughter's favorite places to have lunch. Today, however, was the last time we will go there. The last few times the service has been really dropping off. The food is quite pricey and not the quality it used to be. The wait has been anywhere from 35 minutes to an hour and a half. Today we waited for 40 minutes for our to go order. I noticed an order sitting waiting on the counter about 15 to 20 minutes before they called my name. When they finally bagged it and called my name, they didn't even apologize for making us wait. They were actually kind of rude and very impersonal. I am a huge fan of Katy's Pantry, but have to say I was a little disappointed with my latest visit. I was purchasing a meal for a friend, so I ordered a 9X9 lasagna and a salad to feed 4 people. I paid $70 for the food!! I know the food is good, but that is ridiculous. The employees that saw were wearing gloves. One would think this is due to the fact that they are handling food. Well, they handled food, money, debit cards, used the cash register, pop machine, etc. with the SAME pair of gloves!!! Never changed them! Sorry Katy's, you've lost my business. read more

Food: Good Pastries/cakes: Awesome! Customer service: 3 experiences that left a bad taste in my mouth. 1) First, although the making of the food is slower than other similar restaurants, the main frustration is how slow the cashier was in taking the orders. Solution: new point of sale system and hiring capable employees during the busy times and leaving the slower cashiers for the slowest times. 2) After ordering our meal and sitting down, a phone order was taken and the woman taking the order was rolling her eyes and talking rudely to the caller. After she hung up, she was complaining really loud about how she did not like when customers ordered slow. I felt awful because I just ordered the same way as it was my first time there and couldn't decide. Solution: I should have spoke up at that time. If I go back, I will probably call out bad service at that time it happens. 3) I called in an order for a Carrot cake. The woman who took the order said out loud, "what do you want, a Cabbage cake?" I said it again and she responded, "honey, we don't sell Cabbage cakes." I never in my life heard of that either, which is why it would have been nicer if she would have said, "I'm having a hard time hearing/understanding your order, can you spell it out so that I get it right for you?" These were instances from the 3 different times I've visited and 1 and 3 were during non-rush hour times. read more

I love this place. Anytime I have visitors from out of town I make a point to bring them here. Its a nice honey little spot with everything from coffee to pasta to cakes and cookies. I think they have recently started serving dinner and I'm excited to go one of these nights to try it out. Its a great place to meet for coffee and a treat or have a full meal. While in Enid for work, Katy's was suggested to me for lunch. I thought it was cute upon walking in, and the dessert case is extremely tempting. Both days I went I had the special. The first day was a chicken and avocado sandwich which was pretty good, although I thought it had a little too much mayo and the bread was grilled a little too long. I ended up just eating the edges of the bread and took the sandwich apart. The chicken was prepared well. It also came with a house salad that I chose to have with balsamic vinaigrette. The dressing was okay and I liked that the salad had veggies you don't often see in house salads like carrots, broccoli and radishes. We ended up coming back the next day, mostly because of its proximity to where we were at. I chose the special again which was taco salad. I'm a huge fan of taco salads in general, but I knew it wouldn't be traditional because it stated that it would be with tortilla chips. I was fine with that and thought it was, again, okay. They did also opt to use chili for the topping instead of a typical taco salad ground beef or chicken. I didn't mind it though. What I experienced both days here was terrible service. The ladies at the counter were fine, but the girl who brought out the food was awful. It took forever to get my food both days, and she was there both days. She neglected to bring silverware with food more than once, and also forgot desserts for others at the table. I can't know for sure whether this all was her fault, but it was clear that she simply couldn't do a very good job. It's too bad because I feel like there is a lot of potential here, but there are some serious issues that need to be fixed. Another huge problem is they did not make sure people at the same table had the same table number on their ticket. This caused people at the table to get their food at different times, therefore some people were finished eating by the time others finally received their meal. There is a lot of room for improvement with how they take and deliver orders. If it weren't for the service, I'd definitely give Katy's 3 stars, especially because everyone seemed to really enjoy their desserts. There were just other things that I couldn't get past. read more

Do not order a cake for a party from these people. Period. To start with the positives: the staff is always very very nice, their food is pretty good, and they have pretty delicious baked goods. I ordered a cake 2 weeks in advance and gave a pick up time. They didn't finish it on time and the afternoon I picked it up they were rushing in the back to finish the icing. It was 100% a rush job. The cake looked like it had been iced and decorated by a 10 year old child. I asked for 3 words on the cake, they looked like whoever wrote them were drunk. Literally people at my party said this. Very disappointing for a party. Very unprofessional work. However, I'm sure it will all taste great and the pastries I ordered came out exactly as requested. This is one great eatery. They were busy the entire time I was there, which was about 2 hours. We were there to have a retirement party for a coworker. I had a reubon sandwich. The pasta salad I ordered did not come with my sandwich, but as a side item. The pasta salad and sandwich were both very good. I can't wait to come back here to eat next time I am in Enid. read more
