We visited the beautiful island of Kauai last month and had an amazing massage from Nozomi and Ryan. Nozami was my masseuse, and she paid attention to the area we discussed prior to the massage that needed attention. She was very cautious with the injuries I have and did such a great job! We had our massage at the Hilton, while we wish the view of the ocean was more visible it didnt affect our massage as you are facing down anyways. After the massage we went and sat ocean front and enjoyed the tiki bar on property. It was overall such a wonderful time, we highly recommend you treat yourself with this experience. I mean after all you are on vacation! On a side note, Ryan was super sweet! We got stranded at the hotel due to the lack of Ubers and cars in general on the island. Ryan was still at the hotel finishing up another massage when we were ready to go, and he offered to take us back to our hotel! Way to go above and beyond! read more

We like that the percentage of the proceeds go to non-profits to preserve the Hawaiian Islands. The massage space was comforting and it was great to hear sounds of the ocean in the background. First off, the masseuses' were nice and inviting however what felt "off" was their technique and pressure. For the amount paid for a 90 minute couples massage (which was really 75min), I would expect their technique to be up to par with what one would get at a fancy spa, however it was far from it. Second, my husband's massage table was kind of off balance, so anytime pressure was applied the table wobbled. I don't think that we got the quality of care/healing for the amount paid. If we ever decide to come back, we will make sure to request one of the masseuses that were mentioned in previous posts. read more

Booking it was easy, we received a text with all the info we needed before our massage which was super helpful. Note that while the location on the beach is secluded, there are some people nearby on the beach. They can't see you but could walk by during the massage so this may not be the best option for you if you're shy. We had no issues and found it amazing to have the natural sounds of the ocean and birds in the background. When we showed up 15 minutes early, Tiffany and Katie were already ready for us and immediately made us feel at ease. I got a lumi lumi massage, Tiffany ' s specialty, and my husband got a deep tissue, Katies specialty. We both fully enjoyed our massages. I can't say enough good things about our experience at kauai couples massage! We got in yesterday about 1 pm after a long daunting flight. We checked in to our condo and head over to the location for the massages. My husband and I were in Kauai for our honeymoon and I planned this massage for him as a surprise. He's never had one. I did receive a text from Andrea saying they could take us earlier than planned so we head over. I don't think we got there any earlier but we're still greeted with 2 warm and friendly smiles from our masseuses Andrea and Jody. Both were hella sweet ladies. We did the 80 minute massage and a complimentary scalp treatment. They used pumpkin spice oils to massage our whole body's with. It smelt glorious!! My husband is a heavy duty mechanic and he definitely benefitted from this surprise. He enjoyed it ! I can't give him massages like that so I was happy to hook him and myself up with one. The massages took place in a cool little hut on a beach and we got to enjoy the sounds of the wind and ocean! There was some soft music playing as well. I really like how the ladies focused on areas that bother us the most. The whole massage had me nearly drooling. I loved the sweet mascot. I think her name was tiki. Such a cool dog! Andrea and Jody were really cool down to earth people and they made us feel comfortable and mega relaxed. We slept like babies last night. Vacationed in Kauai in May 2011. Set up a massage with Katie and she never showed, even though I had talked to her 5 minutes before the massage was scheduled to begin to verify that I was in the correct location. Called her twice after massage was supposed to happen (about 15 min and 25 min) but she stopped answering her phone, got voicemail both times. Unfortunate that she was such a flake. Only after leaving a review on yelp, received a message through Yelp from Andrea apologizing for my experience and explaining that Katie had an emergency with her infant. Then received a second message, under the profile "Peter D." with nearly the exact same message from Andrea. The SAME Peter D. that had a 5-star review (now removed) for Kaua'i Couples Massage, written as a man who "travels a lot and frequents Kaua'i". Makes me wonder if the "emergency" situation with Katie's child was real, or just a good story that also gains a bit of sympathy while covering Katie's blunder. I find it interesting that I talked to Katie 5 minutes before our appointment, then arrived on time and NOTHING was set up - wouldn't she have at least prepared or been preparing for our appointment? I certainly didn't see a woman with a portable massage table scrambling to get out of the area, and I imagine I would have passed her as I was walking from the parking lot and she was leaving the beachside area. Also, never heard from Katie at all after she flaked on me, not even days later. Actually, it took posting a bad review on Yelp to get any kind of reply, only from Andrea though. Can't say anything for the massage since it never happened. Be careful about wasting your time driving to Kapa'a if you schedule a massage, especially if you are out on vacation - better things you can do with your time than wait for an unreliable masseuse. read more

My husband and I were honeymooning in Kauai and were looking to get a couples massage at the end of our trip to relax and destress our bodies! I contacted Andrea prior to schedule our appointments and had no issues. We showed up the day of to their location and were excited to find a cute little bungalow facing the ocean where you can hear the ocean waves and nature around you. The bungalow was private for the most part but also felt very connected to the outdoor surroundings which made it a cool experience. Our massage therapists, Andrea and Michaelee cheerfully greeted us and worked their magic. At some point I'm pretty sure we both dozed off as we were both very tired but also felt very relaxed! I had Andrea and The massage was great- perfect pressure and she also helped to apply some fresh aloe to my recent bug bites and sunburn that felt very soothing. I'm picky about massages but Andreas massage felt wonderful! My husband also enjoyed his massage as well. After the massage we roamed around the beach nearby which seemed secluded but was a nice area to check out. I'd definitely recommend checking out this massage business if you are in need of some pampering and are celebrating a special occasion! Could not be a better setting! So peaceful and secluded. You're right on the beach, but surrounded by trees and pretty plants, so even if people walk you still have your privacy. We try to get a massage every few months, and we always use Andrea and Katie. They are very experienced and super friendly. My favorite part is that they custom tune your massage exactly to how you want it. I prefer deep tissue and my husband prefers a more relaxing massage. So it's wonderful to both get what we want! Originally reviewed as The Massage Hut on 10/28/10. Hubby surprised me with a couples massage while in Hawaii for our 2nd anniversary. Hubby REALLY surprised me with an OUTDOOR massage. Being a bit on the zaftig side, I was a little uncomfortable with the idea of receiving a massage outside (where would I get changed?!?!?), but Andrea and Katie were FANTASTIC about making hubby and I comfortable. The location they've selected is a perfect storm of circumstances meant to make the massage as comfortable and relaxing as possible: it's easily accessed from a shopping center, it's right on the beach so you get the breeze and the surf sounds, and it's secluded, so anyone walking past (not that it's a heavily trafficked area) wouldn't be able to easily see what was happening. I ended up getting undressed on the table, under the sheet, because I just wasn't comfortable enough to stand braless next to the table, no matter HOW secluded! Katie held the sheet for me, and reassured me to just relax. I laid down and don't remember much about the next hour other than drooling, feeling a cool breeze, and being really, really, REALLY relaxed. When I went to get dressed, I found I was a lot more comfortable (or so relaxed I didn't care) and got dressed sans sheet. Andrea and Katie stepped away a respectful distance and turned their backs so hubby and I could get dressed. They gifted us with shell leis and bag of toasted coconut Katie had made. We left oiled, relaxed, and in a happy fog. I can't recommend these ladies enough; hubby says the price was phenomenal, too (though I don't know it because it was a gift!). This was the most relaxing massage I have ever had. Had a wonderful couple's massage by the beach at Kapaa with Tiff and Dez. They set-up a nice canopy at a beach in Kapaa next to the Marriott Courtyard. It was in a secluded and very quiet part of the beach. Our massage was accompanied by the soothing sound of the ebbing waves and birds. Even though the massage was outside, it felt very private and they did a great job of covering us up so we don't feel exposed. My husband and I went hiking all over the island and were very sore. They did a great job with listening to our needs and adjusting pressure to our preference. We definitely feel rejuvinated! We will definitely come back next time we visit Kauai. read more
