The property was amazing with 8 bedrooms (4 upstairs and 4 downstairs), a huge kitchen, a family room, sitting room and media room there was plenty of room for everyone. It was beautifully kept and was stocked with towels, toys, and sports equipment. The house manager was readily available to answer any questions. The walk down to Secret Beach has 360 steep stairs so it was a workout getting back up but the beach is breaking and very quiet although you may see a little bit of nude bathing. The house offers the most amazing views of the ocean, sand and lighthouse. I would highly recommend!

We asked to cancel our trip under the extenuating circumstances and they refused to provide a full refund. Multiple other companies were happy to cancel and refund our bookings due to the circumstances but this company chooses to prioritize their profits. I will make sure to never book one of their properties again and I suggest you avoid it too.

The common areas were big enough for all of us to hang out, and the back porch, overlooking the pool and back yard, was a wonderful place to hang. The grounds are spectacularly landscaped and amazing to walk around - tons of fruit trees, huge bamboo stands, enormous fileds of grass, pickleball court, basketball court, and tropical vegetation, all beautifully maintained. We used the pool and hot tub extensively, day and night. There were tons of beach gear - chairs, snorkeling gear, etc. The public path immediately behind the house was a great dway to get exercixe, running from the dog park to beautiful Stone Dam, and in an offshoot, to the playground and mini golf course, where there's also a Saturday farmer's market. It's a ery short drive to Kilauea and maybe 15 minutes to Princeville and Hanalea and 20 to Kapa'a in the other direction. There is also a fully stocked gym that some of the group used. Outside the gym, there is a gorgeous mediation or just relaxing area, with spectacular landscaping, a little waterfall, and a Buddha, lit at night. A really great place to stay. And Glenn was very responsive to our needs.

This is a home on the island of Kauai, but not just a home. It's a wildlife reserve, a paradise, an estate, a Hawaiian paradise. My mom got remarried back in 2003, and her husband took her to Lakeside Estate for their month-long honeymoon. She invited my boyfriend of the time and I to join them for a weekend in the huge house and it was the best 3 day trip of my life. It has it's own private lake, a 3-hole golf course, a waterfall, a tiny white-sand beach (on the lake), a rainforest, and pretty much every amenity you could want on your tropical vacation. I'm sure it's expensive as hell, but I wasn't paying. As far as the location...well yes, it would be nice if it was actually on a beach. But you have a little beach of your own, and all of Kauai's fabulous beaches are just short drives away. You are ten minutes from Princeville (shops, resorts, restaurants, etc) and 20 minutes from Hanalei, but set back from the main highway by a private road. Wake up every morning to see what new waterfalls have appeared on the mountains outside. You'll have to take a look at my pics to fully appreciate the place (and the website). But really, if you can afford it, stay somewhere like this, not a fancy-schmancy overpriced resort. Oh one thing....the geckos were a bit creepy. Ok sort of cute, and harmless, but they cover the windows at night and bark at you. But other than that, perfect.

You can easily see directly into the only bathroom and shower from the garden and there are no curtains. The bathroom windows are also in full view of the next door neighbor. The sheets and blankets on the bed are very shabby, and old. Overall, the rental was not clean, especially the BBQ. The beach chairs provided were covered with black mold and rust. The boogie boards are broken, totally unusable. The garden is beautiful, but requires the constant activity of gardeners to maintain...for this reason there is no peace or privacy in that garden. The owners did not follow the terms of their own contract and return our security deposit in a timely manner. In fact, they did not even return our phone calls or emails until almost a month after we had been trying to reach them and never even offered us an explanation or apology.

The house is welcoming, airy, practical, pristine and fully stocked with everything your little heart could desire! Our family felt immediately at home in our own little slice of paradise, just steps away from our now favorite Anini Beach where we marveled at glorious sunrises and sunsets, snorkeled in our own little bay, swam with sea turtles and relaxed in the warm sand. The location is private but with easy access to the main highway for other island attractions and activities. Beautiful Noho Kai is #1 in our book, and we can't wait to visit again!

It is a very short drive to all the wonderful things to see and do on the north and east sides of the island. But even a drive to other parts of the island would just make for a nice day trip. But back to the cottage itself....it is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed! We cooked dinners most every night at the cottage either in the well stocked kitchen or on the Weber gas grill outside. We even managed to use the slow cooker one day. :) Every detail has been thought of here....from the wonderful bedding to the soft towels to the easy opening/closing windows all with screens intact. The grounds are truly a sight to see! Every day we enjoyed listening to the variety of birds and other animals. The beautiful fruit trees all around, and a nice hammock to enjoy it all. We also made good use of the hot tub after our hiking and snorkeling endeavors. I would highly recommend this place for your stay! It was just the perfect size for the 2 of us.
