Captain Keke and Dawn were absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable about the island's history. They were funny and entertaining yet very skilled at operating the boat and making sure everyone was safe while having fun. The views were indescribable and the way Captain Keke would maneuver the boat to get us up close to the cliff side, in the caves, and under the waterfall was very skillful and impressive. Awesome adventure cruise up the Napali coast! We did a non-snorkeling tour sunset cruise. It was so fun and the captain and crew were so kind and caring the entire 5 hour journey. Highly recommend bringing layers (it gets windy and you will get wet!) and taking Dramamine BEFORE you get on the cruise. (About 10 guests got really sick and were puking in buckets). They serve unlimited soda/water and drinks as well as a buffet taco dinner (tasted a lot like Chipotle). Been to Kauai 3 times and this was a bucket list to do and we were glad we did it. read more

Kauai Sea Tours was absolutely incredible and easily one of the highlights of our trip. We usually go with another boat tour company, but decided to try this one--and we're so glad we did. The service was noticeably better, and the vegan options were far superior. We did the sunset boat tour, and it somehow just kept getting better. We saw a ton of whales, and the trip even ran a little longer because the captain made sure we stayed out to catch as many sightings as possible. That alone says everything about how much they care about the experience--not rushing, just pure magic. Huge shoutout to Evan, our captain--very cool, super chill, genuinely funny, and clearly knows these waters inside and out. His relaxed vibe and willingness to keep us out longer made the whole trip feel extra special. And Erin was amazing--constantly checking in, making sure we had everything we needed, and bringing the kindest, most attentive energy. She truly made everyone feel cared for. The food was also a big win. The Mexican dinner spread had lots of thoughtful vegan options, including tofu, and everything was delicious--no sad vegan meals here. Our boat tour was cancelled the morning of due to weather, which I completely understand--safety comes first. However, the experience afterward was very disappointing. The person I spoke with over the phone was rude and didn't seem to have clear information about the situation or next steps. I was told that I would receive a refund within 5-7 days, but it has now been almost two weeks and I still haven't received anything. The lack of communication and follow-through is frustrating. I understand that weather-related cancellations happen, but customer service and timely refunds should still be handled professionally. read more

Very disappointing experience -- would give 0 stars if possible. We booked a sunset Nā Pali tour through the Sheraton Kauai Villas concierge for 10/09. Unfortunately, our flight 10/08 was forced to return mid-air due to a medical emergency onboard, and the flight was later cancelled. I called the tour operator the next morning to explain the situation as they were closed already when we landed back in LA -- even mentioning that the hotel concierge had already emailed them -- but I was abruptly interrupted and told they "couldn't take my word for it." I offered to forward Delta's official notice confirming the flight disruption, but they refused to even hear me out. As someone who works in hospitality, I understand policies -- but I also understand empathy, professionalism, and fairness. A simple credit or rebooking option would have shown genuine customer care. I got to swim with turtles in the wild. Enough said. If you go on one of their tours,be mindful, be demure - give wildlife space and don't harass. I get it, we all get excited, but no need to get all up in their space. Okay, aside from that. The trip was phenomenal. We boarded our sea vessel around 815 and rode up to the Napali coast stopping along the way to learn about some of the formations, waterfalls and rocks that are significant to Hawaiian culture. Saw some of the most beautiful panoramas and blues of the ocean. We also watched some dolphins who were doing their thing and putting on a show. The crew was fun and chill! Captain Wren made the journey enjoyable woth her expertise navigating and dropping the knowledge. This is our second visit to Kauai and I'm so glad we decided on taking this trip! read more

Our family had the best time with Kauai Sea Tours on the inflatable boat tour of the Na Pali Coast! Captain Ren and crew member Keke were absolutely fantastic--fun, professional, and full of positive energy. Ren is an incredible captain with amazing skill--she navigated us into a couple of sea caves with unbelievable precision! The ride was thrilling and we felt completely safe the entire time. We had a great group on board--fun, interesting, and just the right size for the boat and experience. The snorkeling was super enjoyable, and we saw whales, turtles, and so many dolphins jumping and spinning alongside the boat. The crew also shared stories of Hawaiian culture and history that really deepened and personalized the experience. The views were absolutely remarkable, and the breakfast sandwiches hit the spot! Informative, fun and interesting The Na Pali coast is one of the most beautiful I have seen. We toured it with Captain Kauai and crew on a luxury Catamaran that is just a year old. Our tour of the Na Pali coast was absolutely fantastic! I recommend booking ahead, being on time (try to get there 10-15min early to apply sunscreen/use the restroom), and following the captains' instructions. Bring towels, sunscreen, your phone/camera, and be prepared for an adventure! They provide waterproof bags for your things. We started at 7am tour- we had a granola bar and coffee before coming. They provide coffee/tea which is nice. During the tour, they provided breakfast sandwiches, cold drinks, and snacks spaced out. Ren was extremely skilled with guiding the boat through choppy waters on the way back to the dock especially! She and Josh made our tour so memorable! They took great pics/videos for each group. I appreciate Ren and Josh taking time to talk about the history of Kauai and the specific landmarks that play a significant role in shaping the culture/community. I think this was so important to the tour! The went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt safe and also had a great time! read more

The deck hands were constantly moving, talking, bringing drinks, food, more drinks, advice on Yankees vs. Red Sox, just outstanding. Alicia tells you from the start it is an ocean adventure, not a lazy waikiki cruise. ZERO HELP I booked this as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend. When we called an Uber, it showed the location was 45 minutes away, making us late. I immediately called to ask if we could reschedule for the next day. They said there was nothing they could do -- no attempt to help, no alternative, no empathy. I even explained it was her birthday and that she was literally crying, and they did not care at all. Now I'm $500 out, with absolutely nothing to show for it. The experience felt purely transactional, like once they had the money, the customer didn't matter. If Kauai Sea Tours is willing to work with me and show some basic human decency, I will happily remove this review. I took the Lucky Lady Na Pali Sunset Tour. You meet at Port Allen. You take off your shoes because the boat flooring has more traction when you're barefoot, but they will let you keep your shoes on, if you want. Don't worry about being at the front of the line because once you take off from the shore, everyone moves around the boat and there's more than enough seating all over the boat. The staff provide soda, water, and snacks. There's two restrooms on the boat. Depending on the wind and waves, the ride can get choppy and bouncy. I don't typically get seasick but even I was seasick. You get very wet, my clothes were soaked. I'd recommend buying a waterproof phone case. You get close to the caves but the boat can't fit inside. Dinner is make your own chicken or pork tacos, with cookies and brownies for dessert. They also provide mai tai's! This was the 1:15pm ride and they got back at 7:45pm. The Na Pali coast is absolutely breathtaking!! And then you see a sunset over the horizon. The only thing that weren't great was Leanne from the office told me you don't get wet much, but she was wrong because we all got soaked. Also, the captain was Captain Kauai and he made several sexual jokes, and there were children on board. read more

Called before booking asking about weather conditions explaining we had 2 small children and was assured weather was agreeable but would not know until the following morning when the tour would take place. Within an hour of booking the National Weather Service put out a small craft advisory stating "conditions will be hazardous to small vessels'. We showed up to the checkpoint hoping the team would accommodate after hearing my concerns as a parent of 2 kids but I was told there would be no refund, we would be marked as no-shows, and there was not even an option to switch to a different day or tour (something with a larger vessel that would be less impacted). Unfortunately for me this was an $800 judgement call not to put my kids at risk. Take this review for what you will - understand there are waivers you sign stating you understand that tours may face rough weather but when the government puts out a statement that conditions will be hazardous you should not be expected to risk that or lose your money. read more

Kauai Sea Tours is the BEST tour with Naya being the best captain and Josh, a wonderful crew member! . It was amazing! We saw so many spinner dolphins , 2 seals , and a whale ! (The whale was rare bc it's still too early for them to be in that location to breed). Naya said someone must be manifesting this because we were lucky with the amount of sea life we were seeing. (I legit had been manifesting it days leading up to this). The dolphins were so playful and so close to us. We also snorkeled, saw a ton of fish and got to swim in front of "The Cathedrals" of the coast. Naya is such a bad@ss! She is so knowledgeable and funny. And I loved that we both shared our dolphin stories with each other (both having a history with them) Because of the amount of sea life we were experiencing and she saw how excited everyone was on the boat- she made sure we had plenty of time hanging around with them. . I joined the 7:00 AM raft tour yesterday morning, and I just wanted to say how incredible the experience was -- largely thanks to our captain, Josh. Josh is honestly the funniest Kauai local I've ever met. He kept the entire 5-hour tour engaging and never boring, which is not easy to do on the ocean that early in the morning. His energy, humor, and storytelling made the whole trip fly by. He was also thoughtful, polite, and very attentive to everyone on board. The way he guided us through the sea caves along the coast was both thrilling and unforgettable -- exciting but always felt safe. A special bonus: we were lucky enough to see whales breaching twice, which was absolutely magical. And by the way, his playlist has great taste -- it really added to the vibe of the trip. Kauai Sea Tours was a on the water experience in Kauai that was as good as it could be. Great Captain (Kauai) and crew (3 smiling women). Nice boat, with two heads, plenty snacks provided along with fresh water (which was encouraged by the crew) and soft drinks. We certainly got our money's worth for the cruise boat and crew. All the crew made sure everyone was doing OK, they were very talkative and friendly. Captain Kauai was full of humor and clearly very experienced. We had perfect weather and sea conditions. The departure port was a bit away from most hotels, but it's an easy drive and the parking was plentiful. Cons are too many people on board (48 plus crew), and the food (teriyaki chicken, salad and veggies). Seems like for the price they could upgrade the food quite a bit. I know we weren't there for the food, but it was included and I had much higher expectations. Lastly, the Kauai Candy store next to the Kauai Sea Tours office was opened after we returned, which was a real treat. Highly recommended. read more

Choose another company who are truthful. Day before trip i got an urgent text that my trip was cancelled. i carefully chose a larger boat to accommodate my 89 year old mother. When i called in I was told the difference between a substitute boat ( the one i chose needed maintenance i guess last minute) was 5 feet. Uh not even close. Complete lies . This was said to not have to refund for their lack of planning and prep. The alternate boat was a small catamaran for snorkeling tours. They would not refund the over 600 dollars paid for our family. The lady at the counter had a nasty racist attitude and clearly dislikes tourists. Maybe she needs a new career like car repos. That was her demeanor. They will take you out to sea with any conditions and under lies and false pretenses. Avoid like the plague. read more

This is a 5'sh tour that will most likely encounter rough waters. So if you are prone in the SLIGHTEST to seasickness, I DO NOT RECOMMEND. A bunch of us went and I am the only one who does not have sea legs out of the group and ALL of us were vomiting by the halfway point--which also included 60% of the passengers aboard. We were all also on prescription anti-nausea meds. The tour itself was meh---as the main goal was to snorkel near Na Pali, which is not reachable by auto. Besides the rough waters (we went on the afternoon cruise and it started off calm) there really was not much variety to see--which you couldn't experience from any beach on land. The crew was however exemplary! Kind, helpful and compassionate. However for the $200+/person to be miserable = not. Even for those who did not get ill, the experience on sea was too long with the snorkeling part being only 35min and very restrictive space wise as there were 7 other tours in the same small area. Saw 2 small tropical fish. Looked at a cave in passing and the sunset--again you can do this from land and have the same experience. Save your money and rent snorkel gear on the beach for $25 and watch the sunset from a nice restaurant. read more

Kauai Sea Tours is so good! I've never done another cruise of this type, but I can't imagine anyone being any better. The captain was incredibly nice and very informative about all of the sights we saw, and he made sure to keep his eye out for marine wildlife and stop for turtles and dolphins. The crew were super friendly and very attentive. Keke and Eme were fantastic and engaged passengers with nice conversation. We had one gal on our trip who, sadly, had bad sea sickness. Both Keke and Eme did their best to look after her and tried to ensure her comfort. The snorkeling was fun, but years and years of people NOT using reef-safe sunscreen shows. The only corals were some small acropora and some sponges, but that was it. That also means not a lot of fish. If you've read this far, PLEASE make sure that you use REEF-SAFE sunscreen. It's a fantastic experience, I would do it again , and I would highly recommend Kauai Sea Tours to everyone. read more

If you're in the mood for adventure, storytelling and history, snorkeling, and beautiful scenery, the Raft Tour checks all of those boxes and then some. We enjoyed every minute of this tour. If you don't like speed or fear for your fake lashes, double think booking this. But if you want to see the Nepali Coastline while listening to one smooth playlist then don't hesitate to reserve a spot! A few people had recommended the Na Pali Beach landing tour, so decided to give it a try. The tour starts nice and early, giving your group a private tour of the coast before all of the other zodiacs and catamarans arrive, which was really nice. Every so often we encountered pods of spinner dolphins which were so cute! As we cruised down the coast, we stopped for some photo opps and went into two caves and saw some waterfalls, prior to doing our beach landing. The coast line was so dramatic and gorgeous... felt like a scene out of Jurassic Park. Once we parked the zodiac, we jumped in and snorkeled - saw an array of fish and a turtle too. After snorkeling we had a simple lunch then walked around the former fishing village and saw the ruins of the once prosperous village. Though the grass/weeds had been recently cut, I would recommend bringing water shoes for the walk. I thought we were going to see another cave or two on our way back, but I must have misheard as we came back to the harbor. All in all it was a really fun tour and I'm glad I got to go. Had a great start to the day of calm seas with Cap'n Paul and Zach which allowed us to into caves they rarely get to due to high winds. Paul is an expert of the Napali coast and fabulous captain. His music selection was also on point. One of the guests dropped his mask and sank to the bottom. Aquaman Zach free dove down about 30-40 feet for the mask no problem. Our snorkeling was great, with tons of fish and a couple of turtles. Our crew left with 12 and brought 12 back. We always rent our weekly snorkel gear from Boss Frogs and rely on their tour recommendations--they've never led us astray. This time, they suggested Kauai Sea Tours, and we booked the Lady Kailani Na'Pali Coast snorkel tour just one day in advance when most other tours were sold out. It turned out to be the best stroke of luck we could have hoped for. The boat itself is beautiful, with plenty of comfortable space to relax and take in the stunning views. The captain and crew were exceptional--attentive, kind, and constantly ensuring everyone was safe and cared for, even going so far as to help us move around the boat and serve drinks directly to our seats. The food was excellent and far beyond the typical tour fare, and the cookies for dessert--especially the ginger cookies--were amazing. They even let our son take a few with him at the end of the tour. The snorkeling was unforgettable, with vibrant fish and even a curious sea turtle swimming by. During the cruise along the most breathtaking coastline I've ever seen, we spotted whales, spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and flying fish. We've taken snorkeling tours before, but this one was truly in a league of its own. Tips weren't expected, though the crew absolutely deserved them for going above and beyond in every way. Wow - when I say this was the best boat tour/experience of my life, I am not exaggerating. First of all, our captain was Ren and that woman is TALENTED. She can handle a boat like no other. I've heard that these tours on the Nāpali Coast can get choppy, and Ren was an incredible captain who tamed the wild ocean! Nobody in our boat got sea sick and EVERYONE on our boat had an incredible time. Captain Ren also provided just enough information/guidance to make things interesting while also allowing us time to just soak up the beauty if the scenery itself. Ren took us all along the coast, beneath two waterfalls, and even within one of the sea caves (even though this was the boat tour and not the raft tour). GOSH could she handle a boat. The way she navigated the sea cave really demonstrated her skills. Her crew was also phenomenal and I'm kicking myself for forgetting their names. They were kind and funny and answered all of our questions. We got insider tips and history from passionate locals! Their services on the boat (clean up, refreshments, etc.) was also top notch. This company took a cancellation from someone other than us for our reservation and when we showed up to check in the "service" staff told us it was cancelled( not by us but they have no way of knowing who). The trip cost had been refunded and we could not sail that day. The refund is pending as it takes 5-7 days for our money to be returned. The staffs attitude was unconcerned and uncaring as to why we our reservation got cancelled. And even less attention to a solution until we pushed them. The solution was to re book another day and after some time offerings a discount. I will never spend my money with Kauai Sea Tours. There are lots of choices folks.
