The striations of tan & gray nicely picked up the cabinet color and the remaining island countertop colors. The selection was great as the other two vendors we went to didn't have anything near as nice. They took the sink with them to make sure the new countertop was cut to the sink specs perfectly. They came initially and made a countertop template. The job cost a little bit more than the other two vendors but we were thrilled with the final product. We found Ali to be very accommodating and patient taking time to answer our questions and make suggestions, compared to the other companies that weren't as personable as Ali who also made us feel appreciated as a customer. After finally selecting a stone our home visit was scheduled to create the template which was done over our existing counter tops. Other companies would have removed the counter tops prior and doing the template over the cabinets so you would be without your counter tops for a minimum of 10 days, or longer. Other companies also try to up sell the use of a computer program to select the layout and grain direction. However with Casablanca, Ali uses his experience and pride in his work to ensure and exceptional layout and finished look. After our template was created the install took place 10 days later. Ali and his team came in all wearing masks during this pandemic time, removed the existing counter top, installed the new granite counters, under mount sink, sealed the stone and cleaned up all in about two hours. Now we can move onto completing the back splash, tile border and cabinets. We are so pleased with the outcome and pricing. So glad we decided to use Casablanca and not the other two companies. It's always good to shop around but in hindsight it was a waste of time. We couldn't be happier with our new counter tops and the professionalism and appreciation from Ali and his team!

Two years after purchasing out home, we learned that we had to relocate to Florida for work. We knew people would fall in love with the house as much as we did and that it would be a quick sale. Boy, very wrong. The offers came in quickly however, the sale did not. I sit here writing this review a year from the time we initially listed our home. Our prospective buyers inspection repair list came in at a whooping $100,000 and included a request to complete an exterior remediation because they suspected the stucco remediation competed just two years prior was not done correctly. We refused to fix because there was no evidence there was an issue - it was just done and we hadn't had any issues! But because we were selling and wanted to do the right thing, we reached out to an architectural firm and got their opinion. Unfortunately, the bad news came back that we truly did have an issue and we would need to start the journey to remove the NEW siding and replace it, along with all 43 windows and a couple of doors. We reached out to the contractor who originally completed the work. Given the concerns, there was clearly an issue with the workmanship and it should be corrected. The contractor declined to come look at the home and started blaming the previous owners who contracted him for the job. After several weeks of back and forth trying to get the story straight, we knew we had to move on and try and find a reputable company to help with complete the repairs. I reached out to at least 5 different contractors to try and fix the problem. I would either get proposals for a bandaid fix because they knew we were selling the home or not get in contact with them at all after calling multiple times and leaving messages. This was also in the mist of the COVID-19 pandemic so contractors were busy and materials were starting to be scarce. It was a total nightmare. Thankfully I made a call to Glick's exteriors and Sam came out right away to assess the situation. Sam was able to identify the flashing issues and got to work. We had a variety of options to choose from with Certainteed and he did some hunting around to find quality windows and sliding glass doors within our budget. We replaced the lower tier siding with siding in modern colors that did the home justice. During the project, there were flashing issues identified with the hardscaping, we opted to fix the issues and the crew was also skilled to remove complete the job so we didn't have to hire another contractor and project manage schedules. Our home looks better now than the day we bought it people compliment us all the time on how it looks. Aside from the esthetic, the new windows now make it more energy efficient. It is like a 100 pound weight off our shoulders! The workmanship is beautiful. The crews are super professional; they arrive early, stay all day, show respect for our home and neighbors, and leave a small footprint. Sam, Scott and Chris are more than competent to handle stucco remediation and apparently failed remediations; they also don't try to sell you on repairs you don't need. Sam is a person of action - you call him, he calls you right back. You have a question or concern, he takes care of it right away. I had my brown bathtub refinished about 8 years ago by another company with the intention of having…read morethe surrounding 1950's tile replaced. I was very happy with the results and it held up well, looking like a brand new tub. Fast forward to now and both my budget and busy lifestyle didn't allow for a complete tile gut and redo. I've tolerated the ugly title during this time but never felt like I could elevate the bathroom and really decorate it the way I wanted unless it was updated. Unfortunately the business I used and was happy with so many years ago now had a new owner and shabby reviews. I like things done right the first time and didn't want to chance it so knew I had to find another contractor with this skill. Resurfacing is an art and apparently not a lot of people get into it into. Enter Bob and Standard Resurfacing found through Yelp. Although he was quite a distance away he was happy to correspond with me over email and give me a quote on my job based on pictures. Although I thought the price was a little high compared to my tub many years ago it was still reasonable. My intention was to co-ordinate the job when my lower bathroom project was complete so going without an upper level bathroom would be a non issue. That was 2016......... Sometimes life gets in the way, and I admit, I'm not the best with project completion..... Fall 2017 arrives and still no progress made in either bathroom. I made a promise to myself that before the end of the year this ugly 1950's would be a thing of the past, regardless of the inconvenience to us. So I contacted Bob again and was relieved that his price did not change. I was put on the schedule for a few weeks out. The morning of my appt Bob and his helper came prepared and dove right in. This was my first time meeting him as well as his first time ever seeing the bathroom in person. Not only does my tile go from tub to ceiling in the surround but completely around the room midway up, including around a vintage mirror and vanity. In addition to the tile were tile accessories that also needed resurfaced; towel bars, toothbrush and soap holders. It was a big job. But fortunately the tile and grout was perfect and in mint condition. There wasn't a flaw to be found. My bathroom was the perfect candidate for this type of process. Day one consisted of prep and priming. My showerhead and tub drain was removed. Other areas were taped off as I agreed to remove my toilet but because of a newish countertop installation I was unwilling to pull out the vanity. He was there a few hours and sent me pictures via text of his progress. Day 2 was the actual spraying. I was concerned about the smell and Bob was very conscientious with my concerns and opened a window and used fans. I also had concerns about my newly painted walls, trim, and cabinetry. He said although he would take great caution in taping off these areas that some overspray would be inevitable. After spraying he sent pictures showing a beautiful crisp white bathroom. Again he was there for a few hours. I didn't use the bathroom for another 2 days although if I remember correctly only needed a full 24 hours to cure. When I did finally go back in to put everything back I did find some remnants of tape and some surfaces felt rough while others smooth. I also noticed pitted areas in some of the grout and like Bob warned some overspray on my newly painted surfaces. I did bring these to his attention and he made arrangements to come back and polish the surfaces which was much appreciated. He also informed me that because the spray is high gloss that imperfections not seen before in the grout would be visible once sprayed. He did make good on his promise and came back and polished those areas. After polishing I didn't notice a difference in the pitted grout but you do have to look hard to see it and the transformation as a whole is night and day. Overall the experience was good and I would use this company again as well as recommend them. Bob was easy going and pleasant to work with. He always kept me informed and was quick to respond. While I still feel the price is a bit high, especially if you broke it down by hours (including travel time both ways) it was still worth it. I certainly would have never been able to update my tile with new in that time and price range. I'm glad this option was available. Going from speckled 1950's cream tile with a colored border to a fresh, clean, all white look made all the difference in updating this bathroom.
