After one visit, WTSP is immediately on our favorite places list, and we cannot wait to come back. The burgers are out of control good, regardless if you get the smash patty or the more traditional hand patty. The bread is homemade in the best way possible, and the attention to details - the absolutely perfect fries as example - shine through. This food is made by a kitchen that cares. And same for the pizza. I was nervous because I saw everyone ordering REALLY delicious looking Detroit style pizza, but we went with a round, hand tossed, pepperoni number. And man alive, I am glad we did. It was up there with some of the best pizza I've had in Michigan, which if you know Michigan, is saying a LOT. Long story short, this place rules. Yes, it's a little rough around the edges, but do yourself a favor and pop in for a local beer and a burger, and take home a pizza to have for dinner the next day. You'll thank me for it.

Before speaking with the front desk, I reviewed the hotel's reservation policy and understood that an early departure fee could apply, which we were prepared to pay. However, the hotel manager did not take the time to listen to our request or review the reservation policy with us. Instead, she seemed focused on her phone and came across as unapproachable and uninterested in helping. We weren't expecting the fee to be waived--we simply hoped for a conversation and a willingness to look into our options. The front-line staff provided excellent customer service throughout our stay, but the interaction with the manager did not reflect that same level of professionalism or hospitality. With more attentive management, this would have been a much better overall experience.
