Let me start by saying that Erica and Larin and very considerate, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. They are good persons and I enjoyed working with them greatly. The wood, the finishing, and the resin of my table are all very beautiful. However, there are a few aspects of my table that are less than what I was expecting, which, if you know, may help with the construction of yours. 1. Most prominently, the ends are not cut perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the table. This is apparent when, for example, I attempt to position the table in the room; either the edge is not flush to the wall (and the opposite edge not aligned with other elements in the room) or the table is at an angle to the wall. This is one aspect that you may specify. Also ask that the remainder, if you have one, is cut square. 2. One of the legs is not perpendicular to the table top, and so is not exactly vertical to the ground. Ensure that you specify this as a concern of yours before you purchase. 3. One of the legs has its industrial markings prominently displayed on its outward surface. You may be able to specify no markings as a requirement for your table. 4. The top is not a consistent thickness across its width. Mine varied from 2 3/4" to 3 1/8". You may *not* be able to specify this characteristic since they do not cut the plane of their slabs; they receive them this way from the wood cutter. As with all major deliveries, be available when your table is delivered. For mine I was not, and feel that some misunderstanding could have been reduced if I was. Overall I consider the tables from this shop a good value since, from what I could see, their prices are a bit lower than competitors. Hopefully my review will help with ordering yours! read more

The guys at Kava were super helpful in getting our project complete. We had a slab table that needed to be finished and have legs put on it to make it a great dining table. We chose brass legs and when the table was finished it looked seriously amazing. The guys at Kava were so helpful, knowledgeable and really churned out a great piece. When they came to deliver, we had another table that we were thinking about working on and they were quick to give us some solutions and some ideas of what we could do. We ended getting that table clearcoated and now that'll be the outdoor dining table! What a great experience, start to finish. Buyer beware! I purchased a piece of furniture 3 weeks ago which was to have been delivered within 10 days. Not only has the item not shipped, the company does not respond to any emails or messages. We were lucky to find Kava Elite on the internet. We ended up purchasing an amazing custom dining table from them, which was simply unmatched by all the furniture stores we shopped. The customer service by Erica was superb. The parota slab from which our table was made was not perfectly uniform in thickness, which led to a bit of a challenge getting the top of the table level and secure, but we were able to make it work with some extra washers between the table top and the legs. Obviously, this isn't noticed from the top of the table. We are looking forward to many years enjoying this piece. read more

I live on the east coast and had always dreamed about a having a large live edge dining table. I researched for months - wood, table size, dimensions, etc only to find that tables in and around NY were not exactly what I wanted and were also priced way to high for lesser quality wood. During my rigorous search I came across Kava Elite and saw the types of tables that I had been dreaming of! I got in contact with Erica and she was responsive and a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. We had bought a house and the timeline of our move-in date was repeatedly pushed back. She was patient and understanding during the whole process. We picked out our perfect slab and had a custom table and bench made. When it arrived it was a beast to get into the house from curbside delivery but it was everything we had hoped for and more. it is so dynamic and unique. The colors are gorgeous and my husband said "this is a beautiful piece of art!" and it truly is. Our friends and family are in awe they all love it so much. It is the center piece of our home! I ordered a custom stained 84" inch live edge table and I am absolutely in love with it!! Erica and Kava Elite really made the experience of ordering a custom piece of furniture seamless. I had a ton of questions in the beginning of the process, and ended up having my step-dad weld the table legs for me, and Erica worked with me by giving me suggested dimensions for the table legs. Also, when the plank I selected wasn't taking the stain in one area, they offered me a different plank and let me choose between the two. The table looks gorgeous in my dining room and it'll be a focal point for years to come! read more

These guys have completely scammed us. We were very excited to buy a table from them. Table arrived in poor shape - the legs had been wrapped in bubble wrap while the paint was still wet, leaving little pock marks all over the legs. We complained. Kava Elite agreed to replace the legs. I sent the legs in. We didn't hear anything again for 3 weeks. When we reached out, Erica told us the owner had failed to process the replacement and the material was now on backorder due to a hurricane. At this point, having lived with a large slab of wood sitting on our dining room floor for 2 months, we requested a return/refund. The owner agreed to consider this and arranged pick up of the slab. The slab was picked up on September 15. Tracking shows it was delivered on October 10. Erica and Larin have both been in contact and claim there is nothing they can do to issue us a refund. Today, Larin texted that he is leaving the company and we have to reach out to the owner. Erica just messaged and said the same. The owner is not responding to our phone calls or voice mails. We now have nothing and have not been issued a refund. read more

An outstanding place for one of a kind tables!. Went in on a whim just to look and ended up buying a beautiful outdoor table. They are very friendly, will let you look around their shop and explained what the processes are when they make a table. They also provide great customer service. We had some slight damage to our new table. Gave them a call and they arranged to pick up the table and repair it for a small fee. I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a one of a kind table. Beautiful stuff and outstanding workmanship. read more
