loved the dresser we bought but when it came to the smaller 2 drawer chest that matched it.... well to date they have not gotten it right yet. I paid for it but they keep getting the wrong thing and I'm tired of the constant mistake and lack of consistent communication. at this point I'd like my money back but I also can't find the same chest any place else. I really wish I had more confidence in them. While I wasn't able to get the piece I wanted they did do everything to try and ultimately refunded my money. They were very helpful and courteous. I very very rarely ever write a 5 star review. Like, hardly ever. But there's a little history with me and UH. I remember when I was in my late 20's early 30's (if I remember correctly) driving by this place on my way to Costco. Back then, I remember walking in there and thinking to myself, "Dang... all this stuff is cool.". But being young and broke (let's be honest, we've all been there...) I knew that I couldn't afford things that were *that* beautiful and unique given where I was professionally and financially at the time. Fast forward until not too recently, things have changed for me. I went back to University, graduated with a degree that contributes more to society, and now I'm exactly where I need to be. Words can't explain how good it felt to come back to this place and buy ALL the cool things I want for my home - wife permitting. About the store - Trying to describe the collections of furniture in this place is like asking someone to explain what a color looks like. It's impossible and can only be seen. One word that I can think of that's fitting is 'eclectic'. There's absolutely something for everyone in here. There are some legitimate art pieces in here. Some are awesome, and some weren't for me. Again... think eclectic. There was art and furniture from India, Vietnam, Malaysia (I think? Could be wrong on Malaysia), and a few other countries that I can't recall at the moment. On a totally separate note, Mike's Spotify playlist is pretty awesome. It's oddly fitting given the vibe of the store. About the people - Mike and his family are super easy to talk to. They'll take the time to discuss the look, or better yet vibe, that you're after and bounce some ideas around. The prices - Lets again be honest here. This is far from Ikea. There's nothing here, to my knowledge anyway, that will require you to assemble anything. That being said, this place is also very far from West Elm, Crate and Barrel, or Potter Barn. It's absolutely reasonable and logical. A vast majority of the time, you get EXACTLY what you pay for. The delivery experience - Tio and tall guy (I'm terrible with names - could be wrong on both counts) were on time, professional, courteous, and careful especially with my new wood floors. 10/10. TLDR: Just stop by. Talk to Mike. If you buy know the delivery process is great. Support small businesses. You'll be happy that you did if not just to go and appreciate the wall art on display. read more

Well, went back and actually purchased a piece from here. I'll stay consistent in saying they have some great pieces. But the customer services aspect ... should've be prepared with the red flags I saw. Horrible communication, over promising under delivering (and dishonesty about the communication). This was with the woman who works there. Was very frustrating. The worker who unloads and delivers furniture thankfully came through both in the store (when the woman wasn't there even though they had been open an hour already) as well as with the actual delivery. In the end I accepted delivery of the piece after speaking with the owner. I can tell he wants to be a good business. read more

This is my very first review ever. And I am sorry that I have to share my dissatisfaction from my merchandise and the customer service with Urban Habitat. We have been trying for someone to come and see our coffee table and our sofas for months now. We spent a lot on the couches and the coffee table. The coffee table came with a stain on the wood and the couches looks like 15 years old sofas, just after 6 months. I do not recommend this store to anyone. read more

I love this store. I love "window shopping" there and I never get out of there without adding a half dozen things to my wishlist. And the prices are so reasonable. I finally got one of the pieces I wanted. It's perfect in my home, and the customer service over there could not be better. They have nice furniture but waiting for an item can be stressful because Mike kept changing the pick up date. Always giving excuses. We had to leave work early thinking we were finally going to get our table and when we got to the store or texted him if the table was ready, Mike would give us another excuse. Then we finally got the table, it was nice but they gave me the wrong table. They had two tables that were the same length but different width and we even measured the width to make sure our chairs would fit. I called Mike and he promised me he would exchange it for me and i just needed to pay an extra $100 which i didnt mind since we really wanted the table. What a massive headache this was...this place will simply make your home buying experience more stress than it's worth. Absolutely avoid...if I could I'd give UH 0 stars. We tried to buy a dining room table from Mike the owner, at first he was nice and accommodating. He seemed of very good character. Unfortunately, we found out what type of salesman he was. As we waited for the table to arrive, the day of its arrival kept on getting pushed. There was little to no - to bad slow and awful communication through out the whole time waiting for the table, a bench, and 2 chairs. He promised pictures of the table that never were sent. Mike didn't make calls to follow up. We had to pursue to find what was happening. He didn't use email, and constantly made multiple promises that he never held up or kept. All we wanted was a dining room table - live edge and of natural wood that would finish our hunt for new furniture in a new home. The one thing that would help us to not keep eating on the floor or on the couch. :( It was pretty infuriating to say the least. Mike honestly could not be trusted. Ultimately the table he promised had a scratch on it and he didn't lower the price or get it fixed but still wanted to keep the money we had already paid with the AMEX. It was intolerable and we wanted a full refund - end of sale. Then he made it known that there was a 20% restocking fee for an item we never really ever received. Mike rudely argued because he was irritated that we didn't want it; he didn't want to give back a full refund. I'm sorry, but we didn't want a damaged product - simple as that. Wow! An experience that no one who is paying good money for a good product should ever receive. Even though he may have nice pieces, as a salesman, he cannot be trusted which is really a shame. Once someone promises you something and they can't deliver, its time to move on and not do business with that person ever again. It's all about Trust. Buyer beware... read more
