The lights went on and we were graced with the most beautiful view of the downtown in the evening that I have ever seen, while sipping a fantastic cocktail. It's not cheap, but also not over-the-top for the quality of drink you get. The food up here is limited, but they offer a small cheese tray, and some fancy small bar-bites if you're looking for a light snack. The first thing is that the place was about 2/3 full and they seem pretty well staffed in the front of the house. There were 2-3 bartenders behind the bar at all times. After we ordered (2 cups of lobster bisque and bread), our server apologized and told us there was a large party in their private room and the chef was having a hard time keeping up. I can't imagine they normally only have one person preparing all of the food on a normal Saturday evening! It took no less than 45 minutes from when we ordered to get our food. Some olives or something would have been nice. My mom also had to wait 15 mins for her 2nd glass of wine. I'll tell you, we weren't going to order anything else after that! There was some really nice classical guitar music by a live musician. I tipped him on our way out. After we left, we noticed a $5 entertainment charge! Is this a norm in Colorado? I would think we would be informed upon entering if there's a cover fee or an additional charge. I would have been happy to pay it, but we should have been informed.
