The shop has a huge variety of loose leaf tea of all types, sold by the ounce, from mid-range prices to more expensive rarer teas. They have matcha too, though I didn't really look at the matcha selection. There's something for you whether you're unfamiliar with different teas or a seasoned tea-drinker. The person that helped me with the loose leaf was very knowledgeable about the different teas. We had a great conversation about what we liked to drink, and they gave me a sample of a tea they thought I'd like based on what we talked about in addition to the three teas I bought. I went home with an ounce of Nepal Pokhara green, China lingering clouds green, sticky rice tuo-cha (pu-er), and a sample of Glenburn moonshine Darjeeling oolong. I haven't actually gotten to opening the two green teas yet but the pu-er and oolong are fantastic. On the teahouse side of the shop, you can get any of the loose leaf teas prepared for you, tea lattes, matcha, bubble tea, and some baked goods to go with your drink. I had a ceremonial matcha bowl (usucha). The matcha was good, but if you're just going to get one drink there, I think my recommendation would be to go with one of the loose leaf teas instead, because the matcha, while prepared very well, was just a run of the mill matcha, and they have so many unique teas. If you're in Fort Collins and have an interest in teas, this is a must-visit spot! read more

They had a huge selections of teas to purchase but also for you to get a drink right there. My Apple tea was like fall in a cup and was truly amazing. We selected 3 teas that we purchased some to take back home with us in Oregon and came back the next day for another tea while we were out and about. The staff was super friendly during both our experiences and they they truly cared. The only problem with this place is how far I live from it. This is a tea lover's paradise. One of my favorite parts of visiting a tea house is smelling and sampling the tea. This place encourages you to do both. They have an extensive wall of tea that can be purchased in any quantity from 1 ounce to as much as you can carry. They encourage people to smell the tea and they had 3 different samples throughout the store. Everyone I talked to was super friendly and helpful. I love that you can get any tea on the wall served hot, iced, or with boba. I bought three different teas to try and after trying two of them I'm already planning a return trip. Both teas ordered were watered down, didn't even finish 1/4th of it. Layout of the tea shop is inconvenient and inefficient. They definitely need more seating. The poor employees looked busy and were trying their best, didn't take too long to get our tea out despite the line. Bathroom was not the cleanest. Was not the relaxing atmosphere I expect in a tea shop. They have some cool eco-conscious initiatives such as bring your own cup, exchanging your own old tea for their tea leaves. I am always blown away by the quality of the teas and I can't recommend this place enough. Their customer service has been amazing and I'd definitely suggest their Jasmine pearled teas or their Ginseng Oolong. The packaging is nice and professional and it still feels like each order is treated kindly and I adore the small samples of similar teas to try. What I could equate this to is a english tea with a splash of 'milk'. If you are just wanting Boba or Bubble tea, go to a place that specializes in that category of 'tea' such as Kung Fu Tea, or pretty much ANY asian market business that sells Boba/Bubble tea. This is a very interesting tea shop that I stumbled upon. They have dozens of tea that you can either buy to make at home or have a cup here. Prices are expensive for a 20 oz of tea - minimum seems around $5 but it can go higher for, what I presume, are more rare teas. You can open up sample tins to sniff the tea, which is very helpful. It was a wonderful break from our snowy holiday shopping excursion. I ordered a chocolate raspberry flavored rooibos tea latte. My girls both ordered a brewed tea. We also chose a lemon bar, a brownie and one "compost" cookie (based on the description and the pretzel I could see sticking out of the cookie, I had to give it a shot). I absolutely love Happy Lucky's tea and tea house, and I'm not even that much of a tea aficionado!!! They carry an incredible range of teas, including single origin traditional teas from different countries, as well as speciality proprietary blends they have created that can't be found anywhere else. My favorite Happy Lucky speciality teas are Madame Grey, which is similar to Earl Grey, but better! It's enhanced with rose petals, orange peel and other aromatic botanicals. My other favorite is their MuChaCho, a blend of matcha green tea, cocoa, & medicinal mushroom blend, which makes the best matcha type latte anywhere. Ridiculously unhelpful. Went in to ask for a particular flavor of tea, and a man pointed to hundreds of teas and said that my description was unhelpful and I should just smell all the boxes. Then the employee went back to sit with his girlfriend. First, smelling boxes does not seem hygienic in a pandemic world. Second, you would think an employee will have a hint of what's in the boxes. If I'm looking for a particular flavor, narrow it down for me at least. I walked out within a minute. If you know what you're looking for by their original name, it might work for you. A wide range of tea options offered in bulk or by the cup in a particularly soothing atmosphere, the only complaint I could possibly muster is that my timing was such that a few teas had been sold out and were awaiting restocking in the next incoming shipment. While I will not deny that nothing was 'cheap', I cannot complain when the tea prices were reasonable for the quality, which is quite good. I found the mural painting on the wall a particularly nice touch, though sadly couldn't get a decent photo of them for posterity. I must specifically extoll the virtues of the blood orange black tea, which holds the distinction of being about the only flavored tea I've ever been able to stand, and was the sole reason behind my visit, after having a cup at my friend's. read more

Happy Lucky's is pretty much everything I want in a Tea House. The selections of teas here is exquisite, and interactive. Every tea has a little tin in front of it to allow you to smell the tea you are currently being tempted by. The tea wall is jam packed full of many different types of tea, divided into their necessary sections [rooibos, herbals, greens etc. etc.] thus making The Great Wall of Tea extremely colorful! There are so many options of tea, and especially if you're a huge fan of the warm beverages, you'll have a hard time deciding what you want to try. If you check in on Yelp you can get a free pot of tea with a purchase of a pot of tea. So I went with a Sarsaparilla Root tea while I relaxed in house, and used my "free pot" as a 20oz drink to go in the form of a "Cacao Rosa" tea. Both were amazing. I wanted to be a little adventurous getting the Sarsaparilla Root, and the Cacao Rosa was a necessity. When you stay in house to drink your tea, they will bring it out in a cute clear pot, paired with a small little tea cup. I sat in the back room of Happy Lucky's. It is secluded, and quiet back there, with a "wish wall". Pretty much, you write a wish for yourself on a colorful slip of paper, and embed it somewhere within the bricks [I have a picture, check it out - it's gorgeous, in more ways than one]. It made this room extra colorful, and dare I say hopeful? It was very cute to see how many wishes people had added into this wall. I, of course had to contribute as well. This tea house is awesome. It has a great atmosphere, as well as wonderful staff. I would love to spend more time here. I want to be able to experiment with and try the vast amounts of tea that The Great Wall of Tea has to offer. Happy Lucky's will be a definite stop with all future trips to Fort Collins. read more

I really liked them asking what I'm in the mood for, and not only recommending a good tea, but actually creating a looseleaf blend between 2 teas.
