This place is so freaking cute. I definitely want take all the girls there. My son went there (ended up stuck with us ) and had a good time 1st time I saw him tasting and living TEA! WOW Tables, chairs the little hallway to the restrooms everything about this place is adorable. A must see! It's not expensive. It has many choices and bundles I should say. On Sundays the piano player is there. It's located in area with a lot of parking and other stores downtown Fort Collins. I know it can be a little overwhelming when it's large parties, so we appreciate that they accommodated our party. Thanks to them, my friend's birthday celebration went wonderfully. As someone who absolutely loves going to tea, this little tearoom in downtown Ft. Collins is ADORABLE and such a wonderful little gem with Bridgeton Regency Vibes...as some passers by said as we waited for our table. My daughter brought me here for my 65th birthday and we loved everything about it! From the aqua and pink walls and curtains and crystal chandeliers, to the velvet cushy chairs and settees it was just a sweet, quaint and a lovely atmosphere to sit in. Our server, Sammy, cousin to the owner, I believe she said, was absolutely fabulous and so accommodating and sweet and a wonderful host. And despite how busy it was, she even took the time to chat with us. She was a very sweet lady. The menu is lovely and you get a choice of three different teas: all with finger sandwiches, sweets and scones and with an upgrade that comes with a small bowl of soup, which was delicious! (They also have dairy free and vegetarian options if you call ahead) which is what my daughter had. I had the upgrade with the soup, a lovely creamy tomato based roasted red pepper soup. The finger sandwiches were egg salad, curry chicken salad, (QEII's dish of the day for her wedding way back when), a salmon canapé, cucumber sandwich and tomato, salami and pesto sandwich...all delish (salmon was my fave I think...or the curry chicken salad...let's be honest, they were all excellent. It also came with a little Lavender Pot de Creme, I believe it was, and a square of lemon blueberry cake (which I brought home with me), and two lovely large scones, one plain and one raisin. All in all, it was a delightful and memorable experience for my 65th birthday. To me, nothing beats a PROPER English tea for a late lunch and I highly recommend this place for a Mother's Day luncheon, a bridal shower, or birthday or a nice mom and daughter lunch date. They even have a Princess Tea for the younger girls. I would even fair to say that some men would enjoy this place as well. Although, I LIKE the feminine atmosphere of a ln English tea...All thanks to the Duchess of Bedford who essentially had the first tea to stave off the afternoon munchies! Oh! And almost forgot, you get all the tea you want here. The Irish Breakfast tea was lovely but they have lots to choose from and you get your own pot! This is a great little relatively new spot...if you love Jane Austen or Bridgeton, and are a Regency or Georgian era buff like me, this place will bring you back to a simple time of elegance and beauty. I'm let me start off by saying, I LOVE High Tea!! We moved to Colorado this year, and I was so happy such a highly rated one was nearby. Perfect spot to meet a long time friend I hadn't seen in a decade. We got to catch up over some delicious tea, of which they tons of options, and the food was top notch! I don't even like cucumber sandwiches usually but I liked these ones! Ate every last bite and can't wait to go back! The booking system for the afternoon tea on weekends was easy to use, I definitely recommend using it because the restaurant itself is fairly small with limited seating. It is in a very cute and very busy downtown Fort Collins, parking can be difficult, I think, at certain times of the year. The food for our high tea, seemed to take longer than usual to come out, but our waitress was very apologetic and we didn't mind as we had lots of catching up to do. Our waitress also made sure our pots of tea were never empty, took our photo for us, and was a lovely lady. They advise an hour and 30 minutes for the afternoon tea, require a credit card to hold the reservation, changes, no shows and cancellations will be charged $55 per person, and there are no vegan options at this time. read more

Fort Collins has a new Tea Room and it is lovely in every way. Sammy and Shai obviously love their new business and are eager to make everyone happy. The tower of treats that you receive for tea is very tasty and attractive. And there are dozens of teas to choose from. Each customer gets their own tea pot with the tea of their choosing. We ordered the Christmas Tea with a delightful mix of sweet homemade scones, and tiny sandwiches of egg salad, cucumber cream cheese and open faced toasted cheese with fig jam and thin slices of apple. (I am going to copy that recipe at home, yum!) The top layer of desserts were little chocolate mousse shots, apricot thumbprint cookies and a frosted cranberry orange cake. The cake was especially delicious, perfectly dense and the frosting tasted nicely homemade. We actually could hardly finish the top layer of desserts. We were pretty full after two scones each and the sandwiches. So they tucked our leftover desserts into a dainty pastry box. The shop has been decorated in shades of pink and white. It is an escape from work or shopping where you can relax and enjoy a cup of tea and conversation for a couple hours. The service is impeccable, as I said, Shai and Sammy want you to have the best experience and are attentive to your needs. Besides numerous tea towers to choose from, there is a full lunch menu with salads, sandwiches and soups. The chicken noodle soup we saw at another table looked great. If we weren't so full we would have ordered more. The Lox Sandwich on the menu looks good. And we saw one tower go by with charcuterie on it, nice pieces of cheese and grapes. I will definitely be trying that. As my daughter and I walked up, we saw Encore Bridal Store next door and we thought it would be a perfect afternoon to go wedding dress shopping and make a reservation for tea next door at The Duchess Tea Room. It is a little girlie and we love that. But while there we saw two separate tables with men in their party. The men were getting in the spirit and each had a head band and fascinator hat on their heads. Such fun guys! The store has a hat rack with fascinator hats you can borrow while you have tea. As someone who has worked at 3 different tea houses and loves to try new tearooms, I was pretty disappointed. The teaware was filthy on the inside. There's really no excuse for that, sure tea can stain, but if washed and scrubbed correctly there's no reason for a tea pot to look like this. The vegetarian options were limited, and the vegan options were non-existent even though we were assured they would make something work for us. Nice ambience, but too pricey for what it is. Service was quick and polite. I am gluten free and spoke at length on the phone with the restaurant over a week before my tea time about what was included. To my surprise, on the actual day, I reminded my server I was gluten free and had called ahead and she said it was an extra charge. Why was this never discussed on my lengthy phone call? And why do restaurants keep targeting people with gluten allergies and making them pay more?! I don't see any other allergy costing the patron extra money. That was VERY DISAPPOINTING. On top of that, the gluten free baked goods were not good. The tea sandwiches were good on the inside, and then had basic GF bread. Nothing to pay extra for. The scones were dry, like they had been sitting out for days, the cake was mostly frosting and underneath a claggy dough that was gross. If you aren't gluten free I would say things are probably better. If you are gluten free, maybe order only the sandwiches and keep in mind it will be stupidly over priced. As far as the tea goes, there was a wide selection. We took our tea with honey and milk and they only brought 1 tiny thing of milk so we had to constantly ask for refills while our tea went cold. It was annoying. Glad I tried but won't go back. You're better off getting tea gluten free baked goods or snacks at Explorado and tea from Happy Lucky's. This place is so adorable! I brought my 8 year-old for her birthday since she is very into being fancy and girly but had never had afternoon tea before. Rebecca and Sammy were so incredibly kind and attentive. You can tell they really love what they do. I did the English Afternoon Tea and my daughter did the Princess Tea. We tried the Love tea (herbal tea) and the Cream Earl Grey (caffeinated), both were so excellent. The finger sandwiches were cream cheese and cucumber, curry chicken, sage butter and radish, and egg salad. There was a PB&J option for children. All were extremely delicious, except I didn't try the curry chicken since I am allergic to cumin, we got more egg salad to replace it. They are very allergy aware too. The scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam were so incredible, we got some more to take home with us. Lastly, the desserts were yummy as well. All of it was house made and wonderful.
