Recommended by a friend, I've been here a handful of times over the past few years and they have some fun martinis and decent tapas to snack on while you enjoy some chill vibes. Service is ok, not terrible. Martinis don't always taste the same but I assume its due to a mixture of bartenders and how they choose to make the drink. After a long 8 hour "half day" at work, I met up with a friend at Elliot's - another wonderful bar I haven't frequented in over seven years. We got out of the blistering cold wind and immediately got a seat at the warm and cozy bar with dim lighting. After perusing the expansive drink menu for a bit, I spotted the Thai Me Up. I'm obsessed with Thai tea, so sign me up! Silky smooth, gently sweet without being overwhelmingly sweet, and a nice Thai tea flavor, this baby left my glass fast! We also grabbed some sizzling Brie topped with caramelized onions, and the Italian meatballs, which were both brought out by the sweet owner. Everything was piping hot and full of wonderful flavor. We wrapped up with the Midnight Express espresso dessert martini. Very sweet, but in such a great way, heavy on the espresso and absolutely heavenly. I'm already looking forward to the next time I am able to make it back - the Midnight Express will definitely be the cherry on top of my next visit! read more

I absolutely loved the bar menu, the creativity behind the martini drinks was hilarious, they had so many options, so many great martinis. I would highly recommend the lemon drop martini, or the MILF and cookies is a top choice! I love that they had indoor seating but lots of outdoor seating as well so that we could enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather and sit outside. The service was super fast, always checking in on us and making sure that we had everything we needed. Their menu is amazing, and I will definitely be going back again, this is the perfect bar. We went in for a late lunch with some friends and the waitress told us to leave... Once our waitress told us she just walked away and wouldn't explain anything. We talked to the manager and he explained that they refuse to serve the whole group when one person is underage. We went to Pour Brothers two doors down and the martinis were better, the service way nicer, and the food was great. This is the cutest martini bar and has a great location. I was pulled in by the neon lights that were beaming through my window while I was staying at The Elizabeth hotel. This is located directly behind it. When you walk in you get soothing cocktail room vibes. The lights are dim, the music is fun and there are loungey places to sit all over. The only drawback is, everyone and their mom is here. Great for business and they are here for a reason, but if you are looking to an easy quiet place to get a drink, this isn't it. If you can get passed the crowded piece and wait for a spot, you will be presented with an extensive list of lovely martinis. I mean... it is a LONG list. They have EVERYTHING. And if you don;t want a martini they have other drinks, but why would you come here and NOT get a martini? I have to get the classic, an extra dirty martini. My cousin got one that was like a bloody mary martini. We were going for salty sips that night I guess. Super fun spot. It's a good in-between from the super casual to the pretty fancy-- meaning you can go have a good time in a comfortable setting but enjoy upscale type cocktails. We came for a birthday and were greeted by a server who was intoxicated, slurring her words, and unable to pour waters without spilling it on the table. She took our orders, we only ordered 2 types of drinks so it should've been easy to make. We waited for over 20min and finally decided to ask about our order. Because there were only a couple other customers in the bar and it shouldn't have taken this long. The other bartender was rude and said she never got a ticket so did we even order? Which even if we hadn't, why would no one come ask if we wanted to order, it's not like a big group of girls came in to just sip water.... She said she would make our drinks and then took another 10+ min to make them. She did apologize later and offered us a discount but it was still not a good experience and the drinks were mediocre. Also, the lights were up higher in our corner of the restaurant and she got upset with us for ruining the ambiance since the lights were slightly brighter. We ended up being in there for about an hour for only ordering 1 round of drinks. Will never go back and would not recommend. read more

Unlike most other bars in Old Town, Elliot's is a sit down bar where you have a server which is actually very helpful. The only downside of Elliot's is how dark it is inside, but overall it is a great place to go on a date, hang with friends, or just enjoy a martini. read more

We met some friends at Elliott's on a Friday at 5. It was the first time for all of us. They have a few tables on the patio out front that faces the newly renovated Linden Avenue. The patio in back is in the parking g lot. Inside are high tops, booths and a couple of conversation areas next to the windows. Their drink menu is fun and very creative. No matter what alcohol is your favorite, they have a martini for you! We were recently in Portugal and fell in love with the wine - Vino Verde. They are the first place we've come across locally that serves it. The service was excellent. And they also have some great munchies like baked Brie, meatballs, tomato tapenade, and nuts and olives. Despite Elliots being a martini bar, I truly love their mocktails! If you don't drink alcohol but would still like to socialize with your friends that do, the Golden Delicious and Strawberry Groove are to die for. Golden Delicious is A1, it's got a nice sour pucker to it and will leave you wanting more. It's my go to bar with coworkers after our shifts in the restaurant industry and I love it for its groovy vibes and there is always a cool movie projecting on the back wall. It's really fun in here. I also do have to recommend the melted cheese with the raspberry compote. It was also a stellar appetizer to munch on and accompany the drinks. read more

We were able to find a booth right away and there was ample seating around 9 or so on a Saturday night. The waitress was incredibly kind and helpful. Full of recommendations and was happy to guide us based on our preferences. I ended up ordering the burbon cocktail named about a horse. This was a PHENOMENAL drink. Anyone that likes burbon and/or old fashioned's should absolutely try this. Elliott's was the highlight of an amazingly fun long weekend in Ft Collins. I couldn't choose my favorite martini if I tried. And I tried a lot of the martinis to be sure I did my due diligence for this review! (You're welcome!) The martini selections ranged from stiffer versions (ala James Bond) to my preferred deliciously sweet and tart strawberry that will still knock you for a bit of a punch to wrapping up the evening with the yummiest dessert martinis. The cookies and milk martini gives real cookies and milk a run for its money. The location is perfect to walk to if you're in the vicinity of Old Town. Inside is a cute atmosphere but I recommend sitting outside so you can listen to the saxophone magic of Downtown Michael Brown across the alley. OMG could you find a more perfect place? Every mixologist, bar back, and server is amazing. The owner Linda is as sweet as they come and it is an overall awesome vibe. Not sure what to drink? I've been to Elliot's a couple of times on a weekday evening. The bar stayed relatively empty (the times I've been there), yet it's full of characters. The last time I was there meeting up with friends there were two drunks: one lady who drank her way to a stupor then came to find she had no money to pay her tab. She ended up stumbling out with a very angry bartender left behind. The other guy was stumbling around and singing. I kept waiting for him to fall over. Outside of the show, expect to get some good, strong martinis. Their drink menu is pretty extensive. The lemon drops are pretty good. But, my favorite is The Secret Garden: Pear vodka, pomegranate liqueur, fresh lemon, rosemary and thyme simple syrup. DELICIOUS!!! Not too sweet with a great savory-mint flavor. You can't have just one. At some point in the night the lights dimmed and a movie started playing on a screen. Rambo began playing on the big screen. Quite amusing and not what I was looking to have as background noise while chatting about life with my friends. Overall, this place is worth checking out.
