    Hello Kitty Marshmallow Treats
    Joy D.

On a business trip in Monterey and found this cute shop as I was strolling around after a day of conferences. It was the prettiest sight to see and had many cute offerings of Asian candies, drinks and novelty items. Picked up every flavor of the Hello Kitty marshmallow treats. Man behind the counter was pleasant. Store was very clean.

    Display of some candies.

I'm my girls (nieces) decided to visit your store after they got a bit of dinner. They enjoyed your colorful shop, so why not leave a review. Note: when a customer ask "what is the most popular candy in your shop?"; I liked that you asked whether the customer prefers sweet or sour candies, but you didn't show me your display of candies. Perhaps showing the candies away from the register would be a good idea to sell. For the presentation of the candies in the jars, you can switch to printing the labels of some sort. Now for the candies, I tried a sour gummy worm. To impress the customers, we want the candies to be as fresh as possible and display of candies near the register to look more than a couple of them. And I didn't get a chance to try other candies behind the register. Hopefully this review gives you an idea to improve your invoice. Thanks.

So cute in here and the candy (I got the sour ropes by the pound) was sooo yummy and cheap. I thought the customer service was good.

It's a small shop, and since I wasn't sure yet if I wanted a pastry, I ordered a coffee first while my husband looked at the case. One of the women behind the counter told me, "Usually you order pastries first and then we get the coffee at the end." The way it was said immediately made me feel uncomfortable, like I was somehow doing something wrong. I apologized and explained we weren't from here and I wasn't even sure yet if I wanted anything else. Their tone changed after that and became much friendlier, which honestly made the interaction feel even more awkward. My husband ended up ordering pastries, including a chocolate croissant for me, and both the latte and croissant were good. Sometimes the experience matters just as much as the food. It's hard to fully enjoy a place when your first impression made you feel unwelcome. I truly wanted to love this spot because it came so highly recommended as she visited it daily, but I left feeling more embarrassed than excited to return.

The owner flat-out said no with extreme rudness. When I reminded him that I was a paying patron, and his reply could have been more settle he took off his glasses, stepped up aggressively, and snapped, "NO Restroom!", When I told him his behavior was uncalled for, he had the nerve to claim I was the rude one for mentioning how much money I had just spent. The owner has terrible manners and zero customer service skills. Don't waste your money here.

It had freshly cooked bacon to perfection, butter lettuce, the freshest tomatoes, an aioli sauce, on perfectly toasted sourdough bread. Would 100% get it again and I hope it's not seasonal because everyone should try this sandwich!! Flourless Brownie: 8/10 It definitely is a flourless brownie the texture of it is almost like fudge. It melts in your mouth instantly, there's not really much of a structure to the brownie. If you're a texture person this might not be for you as it's not a traditional brownie it's extra gooey. However, absolutely love the flavor of it. It's a rich chocolate flavor with powdered sugar on top. As a dark chocolate lover this was pretty good!! Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips: 6/10 It's nothing too special, it was more on the dry side but still strong banana flavor! Overall experience: 9/10 Customer service wasn't the greatest while waiting for our sandwich we didn't really know we had to wait, where to wait, and when I changed my mind on a pastry someone gave me a face. However, the ambience of the restaurant and food made up for it. I loved sitting outside, an amazing way to sit down and have a chat.
