This is a fairly large souvenir shop located right at the entrance of Fisherman's Wharf. It offers a wide variety of unique trinkets, though some items are a bit on the pricey side. The store is clean, but it does feel a little cluttered with merchandise. My son found a pair of old school aviation style glasses that he thought were pretty cool. The cashier was friendly, which made the experience even nicer. read more

Tons of souvenirs and gifts, mostly useless stuff you realistically wouldn't really use around the house. Lots of keepsake mementos from your trip to Monterey... I want to start by saying that I really hope the owner reads this review and gives Daisy a raise. We went in and bought A shirt for the hubby, we proceeded to exit out but then noticed that they had a bunch of little souvenirs for girls. We went in again and I asked the friendly cashier (Daisy) if she could help me find some souvenirs for little girls to which she happily replied she could and proceeded to find some cool bracelets for all my nieces (5 of them!). I ended up leaving with six additional souvenirs for the kiddos. She was nice that she even gave me some small present baggies to give the souvenirs to my nieces and nephew. It's nice to receive this kind of customer service. Well done Daisy! It's also a plus that Daisy speaks Spanish which is helpful for those who need it :O) read more

Walking onto the old fisherman wharf, eyes can't help but land on the pink bubble gum colored store guarding the entrance to the pier. A good portion of the store is plastered with generic poorly printed "memories" to souvenir. Along the window, they have one of the most amazing collection of masks for the price range. You can see the amount of details and labor and thoughts and creativity that went into each and everyone of them. Although still mass produced, it is got to be out of a good piece of die. Probably the best shop to go to when looking to buy souvenirs of the area. It isn't overpriced , has everything from magnets, keychains, coastal finds, clothing and jewelry. The staff is friendly and the store is well kept. A bit crowded when it comes to spacing of isles for my liking given Covid but it is what it is. It was like walking into an organized hoarders overstuffed closet but oddly enough you knew what sections were which. read more

On the corner of the Wharf stands this unique little shop. There must be something for everyone in there, that is, if you're into your standard kistch. I was surprised to see that they carried tiaras, along with other drag queen jewels, some decent costume jewelry along side the common souvineer stuff: Post cards, tee shirts and the like. I came here last summer while exploring Monterey for the day with my boyfriend. The store is large and they have a great selection of gifts and souvenirs. We took our time looking around and I ended up getting a tourist-y sweatshirt for $20 which I still wear almost every day. My boyfriend picked out a super unique Kit Cat wall clock which was a little pricey at $50, but we're suckers for collectibles and had never seen it anywhere before. Popped in while I was visiting, can't leave without purchasing a souvenir. Opted for my usual, magnets! Goal is cover the fridge with magnets from places I visited, I know.. so cute right? Anyways, the store was jam packed with goodies everywhere and of course the place was packed with other tourist as well. They have a wide selection of magnets which kept me busy for a good 15-20 mins. I ended up getting 2 different ones, total came out to be under $8 after tax. Staff is friendly and very nice, while ringing me up we had few hiccups with the machine wanting me to swipe and when I do, it wanted me to insert chip and kept switching on me. Overall, I would most likely return if I was only going to the pier. But I would def recommend this place to be one of the stores to check out for souvenirs before leaving. read more

I just had a bizarre and off putting experience in this establishment. I can honestly say I have never been treated so rudely by an employee in a business. Yesterday, my husband and I bought him a shirt, but realized once he tried it on that the shirt was defective. The decal was printed badly on the shirt, which made it off set looking. The lighthouse on the front looked more like the leaning tower of Pisa! So, we decided we would go back to exchange it on our way to lunch on the wharf. When we arrived we explained what we wanted to do the woman working behind the counter at the front door (older, greying, glasses, 5'5" or so). Unfortunately, the store did not have another shirt of the lighthouse in his size. We compared it in front of her & she agreed it looked off to her as well. We had the receipt, the tag was still attached to the shirt, and we paid in cash; however, she would not honor a return. She said store policy forbids returns, "We just don't do it." We were told we could use a credit for something else in the store, but we didn't want anything else in the store or we would have bought it the day before! It does say that the sales are final on the receipt, but it's not our (the customers) fault that the item was defective or that they didn't have another one like it for us to exchange it for. So, it's not unreasonable to expect a business to understand that; that's just good business. When I turned to my husband and said, "I guess we won't be coming here again." She got quite agitated as though we were being difficult & putting her in an unfair situation. I told her the policy wasn't fair to us as customers as the situation was in no way our fault. Her reply, "Its not my fault either." I understood her to mean it was beyond her control, so I kept trying to ask her about speaking to a manager, but she kept cutting me off being defensive until I finally said, "I am trying to finish my sentence." She then stopped, went to her purse, opened her wallet and slammed down the money for the shirt! She then promptly walked away seriously pissed off! I have never seen such strange behavior from someone dealing with the public. We just looked at each other in disbelief, took the cash & left. There was no way to have a reasonable conversation with her, and we will never return there again. It's a shame we had been there multiple times over the years, and we usually bought something each time. Shame on her! read more

But all of the floor employees kept their eyes on me and told me twice that I could ring it up front. When I was not done shopping. But I guess I was. Typically gift shop you'd find at any Fisherman's Wharf. It's the first shop you see as you enter this small wharf area which is predominately full of restaurants, candy stores, and shops. You'd find t shirts, sweatshirts, inexpensive jewelry, pens, home souvenirs, mugs, etc. A huge 40 yr old pink chandelier hangs from the ceiling, told the sales lady it reminded me of something in Disneyland. We paid $8 for 2 mugs for Jr. Yelpers, had their names on it, sometimes hard to find. They get a lot of foot traffic in the store but you probably pay more price-wise since it's at the front of the wharf. It is bright and clean. read more

Ron R., Fionanabear & I visit the Monterey/Pacific Grove/Carmel/Seaside at LEAST once year since it's the MOST RESPONSIBLY CLEAN DOG FRIENDLY place in Nor Cal! We love going to the off-leash dog beaches (Del Monte Beach) & staying at different pet friendly inns/hotels/cottages/b&b's that are reasonably priced regardless the season. I digress... I am a local who enjoys helping our economy by spending some money, weather its mine or a client's at these stores. But I will never return to this one, nor will I recommend . Working in the hospitality business, this store will be one that will not be mentioned. As I walked in the store and seen by staff, I was not greeted nor acknowledge but I noticed and became aware of that every person that walked in whom was not the same color as myself was greeted with words of Good Morning, Let le know if I can help you with .....nothing. I continued looking around, OK I thought, Im 4'11, im short, they didn't see me or couldn't see me! Meh - wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't come here. I've actually been coming to this shop since the late 1980s. It used to be my favorite on the wharf since they carried a big array of crystal prism pewter necklaces. They do have a rad chandelier hanging in the shop that has been there forever. The last few times I've come here it's just the run of the mills touristy crappy stuff. Maybe that's harsh, but there's not anything that sets this place apart from the other souvenir shops. It's pretty expensive too, but that's normal for the wharf gift shops. read more

Unfriendly... Not the type of place you expect to visit on a vacation. Never felt more unwelcome or uncomfortable in a gift shop before. Yesterday morning, the blonde m.o. Cashier just stared at my family and never greeted us the whole time. I even said "hi good morning" first and she just put her hands on her waist and glared that's when we knew it was time to go. After visiting the Harbour House Gift shop today, I left feeling unsettled... In a tank they have hermit crabs to sell and take home as a souvenir, they have painted the crabs backs in patterns and accessorised them with things such as helmets. One crab appeared stuck due to its helmet.. I informed a member of staff and they didn't seem to care. I know it may just be a crab, but the principle is wrong. Safe to say I put down my goods and left the shop with nothing. It was wrong. read more

So I came to the fisherman's wharf recently and walked into this store and first thought was too many things everywhere ! . Was not greeted, ladies are very disrespectful and I've been there before along time ago I'm talking about years and I remember almost everything , nothing probably sells . And I was checking a glass ball that was on a stand , that made a sort of an illusion. So as I put it back it accidentally didn't go back on the stand and slammed on the glass hard the glass didn't break but I do think it broke something but not to the point where it can't be repaired . And when it slammed a lady across the store yelled out "I heard that " and another lady came up to me , while I was trying to put it back and she said " don't touch anything " I felt terrible cause it wasn't my idea of dropping it and I said "sorry" and this lady had the audacity to say "I don't think your sorry " in a rude manor , that's when my friend confronted her and said " you don't have to be rude he apologized " read more
