If the older managers try to come in without being asked, tell them you prefer to only work with the associate. Literally, they will take half the commissions from the young associates. I have worked in retail sales and have never, as a manager, taken commissions from my staff. This is the worst management structure I have ever heard of. It's one thing to share commissions among the associates, but managers should earn their own.

The guys who work here are very knowledgeable about what they sell and aren't trying to upsell you on anything. If anything, they recommend the less expensive options if it means better stuff for you. It's a great place to go with your kids if they're starting to get interested in sports, and also a fun spot to stop by and just talk sports with other like-minded individuals. There's been more than one occasion that I found myself watching a baseball game for 15 or 20 minutes and here it just talking about in the season in general. It's a great trip down nostalgia road and a fun way to connect with other guys. Once a month, they host a card show in the main lobby.
