This was the worst Kay Jewelers I've ever been in. We looked online found a style we liked so decided to come here. We did have a bit of a wait in the freezing weather which we didn't mind, once we got in the lady which I won't provide her name was not super friendly proceeded to tell us we can order our style online then showed us a single ring that wasn't even close to the one we liked, didn't offer to show us others in a different area and then told us "you Ned to stop looking online and buy something we have here." RUDE!!!! A ring takes time to buy and to be treated like that and feel rushed is not the way we wanted to feel so , Thank you rude lady for sending us somewhere else.!! read more

I unfortunately lost my diamond in my engagement ring about a year and a half ago, I finally got an insurance check and my mother's and my first stop was Kay's. We worked with a wonderful woman named Michelle, she was so patient with us and gave me the best advice - even though the ring I was looking at was cheaper than anything else I tried on - she didn't try to push me in a direction where I was uncomfortable with pricing. Michelle had the knowledge and incredible taste; which helped me match my wedding band with my new, stunning engagement ring. Horrible horrible experience for being the first place to buy a wedding ring set. Purchased a ring I have YET to receive and they told me several different dates. Only wore the ring for 2 weeks and a diamond ALREADY fell out. I called and they couldn't get me in until September 2nd, no accommodations were made or even suggested like I can see if another location has a sooner date available. I understand Covid is happening but communication should also happen! I talked to the manager Mackenzie at the Orchard Parkway Location and she was rude and told me "just return the ring and I will give you your money back." I had a brand new Kays ring sized through this location. I cannot even begin to explain how rudely I was treated, not to mention it was all their fault. I my ring came back after being sent off for sizing with the center emerald CRACKED directly through the middle. I'm usually a chill person, things happen. They sent it back.....I waited. I get called in the second time "Your ring is GORGEOUS! It's ready!" By the assistant manager, Lily. I come in and a ruby is set all low in the setting (emerald was replaced), and the 14k gold setting was cracked. Literally, a crack in the gold. WTF! The ruby was set so improperly that it looked as though it was a different color. These people are rude and inconsiderate, not to mention they obviously don't inspect anything that goes out or comes back. They do not care about your jewelry that wasn't purchased at their store. My mother in law was so upset we have contacted corporate about their poor service and the manager no one seems to be getting ahold of. I went in twice and he was sitting there on his phone not even acknowledging me or this situation he should have been handling. When people spend thousands of dollars on jewely, in my case this was the beginning of an heirloom ring, you expect a higher level of service and involvement. I've had better service at Whole Foods. Myself and my family will never spend another dollar at Kay's because of how poorly we were treated and how poorly they handled this situation where they messed up ROYALLY. read more

I went in to have my wedding ring repaired, they took for ever looking through their system because they don't really know how to organize it. They find my insurance, take my ring, give me a receipt and tell me to have a good day. They then call my husband 4 hours later and tell us that we don't have protection on the rings. WTF!? This is the 4th time they have lost my insurance information, I think they are trying to rip me off. This is the first time they sent me home with out finding the insurance plan in their system. Their quality is just declining, and their tracking system sucks. Hopefully a different location will be better for future services. I will not be buying anything new from them, they are far too much trouble. read more

Coming to write this review and seeing such horrible reviews by previous people I should have known. And not to self. NO ONE waste your money here. My husband bought my engagement ring from here and it was gorgeous. He also purchased the lifetime warranty on it to be safe. Less than 1 year later the prongs began to crumble and I lost my large center stone. I went in to talk to them about my replacement and I was 6 days late so they didn't honor covering the prongs. So I ended up going elsewhere, purchasing a larger more beautiful stone and having them replace my prongs. Apparently the prongs used to hold my stone in place were not durable to begin with. So learning my lesson I now go to that other jeweler to check my large stone and kay to keep up on the rest. Well now here we are. Happened again. We go into the store about 2 months ago, have our inspection done and she says everything comes back clear. I ask about the black smudge on my stone on my band and she tells me "oh that's just dirt" tries to pick it off and it won't come off. She says she doesn't want to scrape it an it will just need a few cleanings. Ok, I'll believe her because after all... they are "professionals" right? Wrong. I than lose that same stone I went in to have inspected. Now I'm a lot less stressed because I have kept up on going in on all my inspections right? NOPE! They won't cover it because they "must have not made record of it in there system" so there for since they had this "mishap" we are out AGAIN another stone. Why do these fall out so easy? I'm a stay at home mom who barely wears my jewelry around the house. And let's keep in mind I'm not married for 30 years. We are going on our third and we are losing stones left and right and the extra money my husband spent to insurance does no good. Beware of these people, this company and there employees. Every inspection I've gone into there is never the same people. Turn over is horrible. Funny they now have no record in there system of ya in there but yet i have my copies of my report which it's signed off. BY THEM! Thankful for my other jeweler who replaced the cheesy prongs and is now also honoring getting that stoned replaced that Kay couldn't keep there word on. I walked in to this location with my girlfriend looking for engagement rings. I was not dressed to impressed. I was wearing workout clothes and was expecting to be completely looked over. It's not always easy being a same sex couple while shopping for something so typically traditional. An older employee named Dennis came over to help us and we were treated with respect and compassion. He didn't look down on us at us for our relationship, my attire, or our modest budget. I don't know much about jewelry but when I picked up a ring he told us not to go for it, explaining how the diamond was bad quality. I wasn't impressed with any of the rings and told him I wanted to think about it he suggested we shop around at other stores before making a decision. read more

I went to pickup a ring I bought for a gift and was told I needed to stand outside in the cold until I was instructed to come into the building. A male employee told me they were following COVID-19 guidelines for businesses and they were not allowed to have more than one customer per employee at a time. There were two employees in the store when I arrived. This is just simply not true and there is no such ordinance for Colorado businesses to lock their clients in the cold until they are permitted to come inside. I called and spoke to McKenzie, who identified herself as the manager. I advised her that there is no such ordinance per the State of Colorado to support the statements they made to me about not being able to go inside. She said they follow their corporate guidelines. She refused to provide her last name or her email. She also refused to provide me with an email for corporate. I'm a small business owner in Colorado and I too am taking precautions to ensure the safety for my clients and employees, but I do not force people to stand in the cold until I'm ready to do business with them. DO NOT BUY HERE! I bought my ring 4/18. They put a temporary sizing on it. I took it in a week later to get it sized only to find out they couldn't size my ring! They told me they had to order a whole new ring. After many phone calls, incompetent and rude staff, I am still stuck with an unsized ring. It has been TWO MONTHS. The manager doesn't return calls and staff is unhelpful. I will be returning my ring and getting my $5000 back. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any business. I took my wedding bands in to get fixed after having to cut them off after a home accident. Very simple fix, resauder the bands back together. I received a cold welcome as I walked in, asked to go to the back for service. The gal behind the counter took the rings after I explained what I needed done and proceeded to show then to what I assume was the manager whom had his feet up on his desk his head in his cell the whole time (2 feet away) NOT once looking up to make eye contact with me to say "hi" smile NOTHING!!!! the counter gal came back to tell me I need UNNECESSARY work done to my ring adding up to $585.00!!! So, the $40.00 quoted on the phone was just a bait a hook!!! SORRY NOT FALLING FOR IT!!! Will not EVER shop here nor would I recommend anyone family, friends or acquaintances. Corporate might want to think about some customer service training. read more

Had my wedding ring resized. I asked to leave the engraving, this was on the paperwork as well. They did not. Instead they re engraved it in a different font, size and style and all capital letters. Looked terrible as if it were done in elementary school. Not the store fault but they said they took a picture of it. The picture was from the outside of the ring which is a plain round ring. Take a picture of the engraving so that you can match it. I understand if they need to re engrave it but keep it the same. Don't just do what you want. I recommend anyone having jewelry fixed there to take multiple picture of your jewelry. The lack of concern of the person resizing the ring as important as a wedding ring is despicable. read more
