Best. Family. Photos. We have ever taken. Kay really knows what she's doing. In the span of 20 minutes, as the sun was going down, she managed to take over 50 frame-worthy photos. Honestly, it all happened so efficiently during the photo shoot, I didn't think she could possibly have that much material to work from. Kay and her husband, Kevin, were awesome to work with! Having their photography services for our Kekaha wedding was absolutely one of the best parts about it! Very highly recommend them! Planning Their services were very inexpensive compared to the others we reached out to for the area, and I don't feel like we compromised on anything because of it. Communication was prompt and not more than was required. It was nice to not have to email or call back and forth more than necessary with all the other planning that goes into a wedding. Day-of-interaction Kay was directive with poses where she felt she needed to be, and flexible/adaptable throughout the day. The adaptability was such a relief because of how busy the rest of setting up for the wedding was. She was reassuring when we needed someone to be. When they arrived, Kay asked if Kevin could take some drone video throughout the event, so of course we agreed! It turned out great! Product/results All the pictures turned out beautiful! Digital pictures were full size (very high resolution) as advertised and available from a password-protected website. Some were stylized or touched up a little. The pictures were split up into groups, like getting dressed, ceremony, and reception. The drone footage was really cool because it captured a different perspective. We spent a week in Kauai this summer (2018) and knew that we wanted to have some family pictures taken whilst we were there. We reached out to Kay and found that she was super easy to work with in the set up, and then during the shoot as well. With three active kids and six adults there was definitely some wrangling involved, but Kay was patient and handled us all like a real pro. We had a brisk but productive 60 minutes and just over a week later we got access to the digital images. The composition, lighting, and overall look of the pictures all turned out really well! Ours was a large family group, with 6 adults and 5 little kids, ages 4 to 8 years. We had our photo shoot at Shipwreck Beach at 6 o'clock in the evening. One hour was plenty of time to complete every possible family grouping! From all eleven of us together down to individual shots of the kids, using the exotic scenery as multiple different backdrops. Kay proved to be friendly, professional and competent. She was especially skillful at working with the kids, maintaining a sense of order with a light and humorous touch. The kids were having a lot of fun, and the resulting photos looked like it. We had the best experience with Kay for our family reunion picture at Kukuiula. She is quick to respond and goes above and beyond - for example, I sent her a picture of us, and she asked for the names of our family before we met so she could match each face with a name. She actually knew all of our names when she met us, and there were 15 of us! Which made it so easy and comfortable when taking the family pictures. The pictures turned out so lovely too.
