For never shooting a couple coming out of the temple, I was quite impressed with their artistic ability to get some truly lovely shots of my husband and I as well as our family and friends on the temple grounds. The photos they captured of us are ones I have never seen other photographers get of on the Oakland temple ground. They were super fun, easy to get to know (I'd never met them until the day off our wedding), made us feel very comfortable and were able to get my Mr. to have a natural smile (he's usually being a goof and makes silly faces) and get him to look super handsome in our photos! I take pride in our photos that we have printed thus far! I would refer anyone I knew to them as well as use them again.

It spans two different leagues my children participate in, with the exact same outcome in both. And it doesn't stop there; we also experienced the same issues with dance studio photos. That makes three separate experiences, all with the same disappointing results and the same level of service, or lack thereof. The biggest problem wasn't the price, it was the quality of the final product. When concerns were raised by several families, we all got the same weak return message "I'll send this to Treelite for review". Treelite, you mean the company you SOLELY own? The company you're hiding behind to avoid accountability and responsibility? The company who has yet to responded to any of our families? He blamed this poor outcome of results on the low payment he receives from the leagues. Hey Andy, your "low cost we charge the league" explanation is not the defense you think it is. That sounds like a business decision YOU MADE. Not something families should have to absorb through poor quality photos, rushed posing, and frustrating service. You say your goal was selecting the image with the "best expression," but unfortunately you failed miserably. The chosen photos were some of the weakest options available and judging by the number of parents voicing the same frustration across both leagues, this clearly is not an isolated opinion. You provided one kneeling option. One. Which tells me you either did not actually review the available poses carefully, or the other kneeling photos were removed from view entirely. If multiple kneeling poses were truly taken for consistency, where did they go? Because they certainly were not available for selection on my end. It was painfully obvious that speed was prioritized over quality. Some of the people taking and posing photos appeared to have little to no actual photography or posing experience. Kids were rushed through the process, positioning was awkward, expressions were not corrected, and somehow the weakest images became the featured league shots. Quality matters. What happened to taking pride in your work? Us parents would be more than willing to spend the ridiculous amount charged for a digital download if the photo was actually worth it.

Both Pauleen and Myro are incredibly talented and professional photographers. Pauleen helped make us feel entirely at ease in front of the camera with her directions and constantly hyping us up. On our wedding day, she knew all the best photo spots at our venue and was able to get us a wide variety of photos for our couple's portraits. Myro did a fantastic job getting photos of all our guests during the cocktail hour. We had several guests compliment how friendly he was and how many people he captured. In the background leading up to our wedding day, the True Photography team helped put a photography timeline that aligned with our wedding coordinator's timeline. This helped ensure we got all the photos needed included first looks, couple's portraits, family portraits, etc. No special moment was missed by the team throughout the wedding. Alex was clear on posing directions and had such a calm demeanor/communication style that helped me feel reassured. Sheryl was our second photographer who captured the best candids and fun moments (e.g. one of the groomsmen had his shirt off and I didn't know until we saw the photos! HAHA). The photos came in the exact time she quoted us but the edits look like pictures taken and edited off an iPhone. Not happy with them. I had to re-crop and edit majority of all photos as best I could as all the edits completely washed out our skin tone, the colors of the sky etc. I asked for the raws so I could just edit them myself from scratch and it's been 2 weeks and still haven't received them. Didn't remind us or inform to take phones/wallets out of pockets so those just look lovely in all our photos **sarcasm**. Book with someone else who knows what they're doing and takes their time on special memories like this. Updating my review! Got some of the raws back a day after making my review, which was nice of her to send as she said she didn't usually do so, but the quality of the photos look like they were taken on an iPhone..it was nice to see some of the photos that didn't come through as finals.
