We chose the lake Taneycomo float using 4 sit in kayaks. The service from Justin was top notch. The boats were in good condition and the prices was just right. We put in just under the dam. The water is cold but it was 100 degrees in mid-august so it was great. The current was not flowing from the dam, so we had to paddle the full distance of 8 miles. This is not a no -issue. It takes a fair amount of effort with no current . But it was epicly beautiful! Well worth the effort. Take food and water. Make sure you have protein. I'd do this again anytime. I've gone kayaking multiple times so I thought while in Branson, I will take my husband on a kayaking adventure. We booked 2 single seater kayaks for the 4-mile adventure on Lake Taneycomo ($39 per person). There is no guide, you go at your own pace but the adventure in its entirety is about 2.5 hours. They will drop you off at one point of the lake and pick you up at a marina located 4 miles from the drop off location. The service includes life vests, the kayak and the paddle, and the shuttle service. We had a great time overall. Our driver and the other guy who helped unload and load the kayaks were great! The first thing you need to know is that the check in is located inside the gas station. We weren't sure who does the checking in part but we asked someone who worked at the gas station and they immediately pointed us to the right person. We enjoyed the lake. I felt tired after, but it was worth the adventure! You get to see some wild life up close and personal and relax as you paddle through the lake. read more

Beautiful kayak down Lake Taneycomo! The water was crisp and clear. Saw some bald eagles. The slight current made it very easy to paddle. The duration of two hours was perfect for our family. Terrible experience. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation. With very little communication along the way, we got onto the water 1 hr and 10 minutes after our reservation time. There is no reason for this... they did know we were coming. When we got to the shuttle to take us to the lake, the driver did not know where we were going. We told him and he took us there, texting while he was driving. We received no instructions for our trip. Only when we were in the water did they tell us that we were to call at a certain point for our return trip pick up. At no point earlier did anyone tell us that one of us would need a phone! Thankfully one out of 6 of us had one! Also, one of our kayaks was leaking! We had to stop halfway to empty it out. read more

Reserved a couple kayak's, and thought we would get in at our reservation time. When we arrived, we had no clue where to check in. The attendant was rude, not ready for our reservation, and did not communicate anything other than he was the only one on duty, despite motioning to two other staff and saying they were driving the shuttle as well. We were held up almost an hour and a half for our reservation. They seemed unorganized and lacked the proper infrastructure to operate an efficient business. Simply speaking to customers with respect would go a long way. It's understandable that backlogs happen, but not communicating the issues left me extremely dissatisfied with the experience. read more

Visited Branson over Labor Day 2020. Called Friday afternoon and made a reservation for Sunday morning. We left the meeting point on time and were in the lake about 30 minutes later. The kayaks and equipment had seen better days, but it was functional. We chose the shorter 4 mile trek and it took us about 3 hours from when we put in given that there was a nice current an we didn't paddle at all until the last few hundred yards. The float very relaxing...and the water was COLD so it was refreshing on a very warm and sunny day. We rented 2 single kayaks and the price for each was $25. Reasonable since we didn't want to bring our kayaks from home. read more

Had a great time! We visited in early October, so not a lot of river traffic. We rented a 2 person kayak and took the longer trip on the Taneycomo, supposed to take about 3 1/2 - 4 hours, we did it in about 2 1/2 (thanks to a nice flow coming from the Dam). We only paid for the shorter trip up front, but told we could call if we decided to continue down the river (we settled up the difference after being picked up). Thank you Carla and Rodney for being so nice and offering a full service experience (Rodney helped us in and out of the water) and at a great price! We will definitely be back when we visit Branson again. read more

we went with kayak branson twice the two days we were there. they were very accommodating and patient with us given our wacky schedule. they also have sturdy and wide kayaks that won't tip over when you try to hop in and out of the nice and cool table rock lake. i honestly can't think of a bad thing to say about them! great service, affordable and awesome kayaks! read more

After discovering Lake Taneycomo, my husband and I knew we wanted to take a kayak out on it. We found a $2 off coupon for Kayak Branson so we decided to check this place out. Kayak Branson is located right off of Highway 165 next to a convenience shop. We arrived and found out that we could either rent a single kayak, a double kayak, or a SUP. The single kayaks I believe are only $11 per hour, the doubles are $16 per hour, and the SUPs are $16 per hour. We decided to rent a double. For the kayaks, you have the option of kayaking on Lake Taneycomo (for as long as you want) or down the river (for a minimum of 2.5 hours). The man who owns the place was super friendly and helpful. We filled out the forms rather quickly and then he drove his van with the kayak down to the lake where we met him with our car. The lake itself was absolutely gorgeous. It was really still and surrounded by a lot of greenery. When we were done kayaking, we simply called Kayak Branson and the owner met us within 5 minutes to take the kayak back. Overall, really great time and pretty reasonable prices. I'd highly recommend checking out Kayak Branson. read more

Carla and her husband were the BEST! I called for information prior to traveling to Branson and Carla could not have been nicer or more helpful. She explained all the options and prices and wasn't annoyed in the slightest when I didn't make the reservation right that minute. When I called back a couple days later, she remembered me! We had a fantastic time and the water was amazing. It was 97 degrees outside and being on the water felt like air conditioning, although I don't think I'd want to swim in it, brr! I had been worried about being on the water and getting overheated but we had a fabulous time. We did the 2-1/2 hour, 5 mile trip with 2 adults and 5 teens (ages 12, 12, 14, 15, 16), some of whom had kayak experience and some who did not. Carla's husband gave the inexperienced kayaker sea few brief pointers and we were off! We had such a good time were considering renting paddle boards from Branson Kayak for the last day of our visit here. The prices are very competitive too. read more
