UNFORTUNATELY, the service repair is contracted to CROSSTOWN! I was scheduled from 8am-12pm TODAY. I received a call from Crosstown who said I was not on the schedule and I argued that I was. The dispatch lady from CROSSTOWN had to call me back and when she did she stated there were 2 tickets for my repair one was in fact scheduled for TODAY FROM 8AM-12PM and the other one wasn't scheduled so she canceled the unscheduled ticket. I was to receive a call when the service guy was 30-20 minutes out. I never received a call so I called CROSSTOWN and the guy (Jordan) was a JERK and told me that he was going to cancel my ticket since he didn't know when the service guy was going to be here. I told him DO NOT CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT and demanded to know when the tech was going to be here. I am now being told it will be between 1 and 3pm today. This is HORRIBLE customer service!!! And now that they saw my review they canceled my service all together!! Oh Jordan how about you tell the truth! Here's my email confirming my appointment for today from 8am-12pm!! Why would I need to contact you BEFORE my appointment? CROSSTOWN called ME this morning SE the photo below of my call log from CROSSTOWN not vice versa! You had 2 tickets for my address one that was scheduled for today from 8a-12p and one that was scheduled. You're dispatch canceled the unscheduled ticket. I called when I hadn't heard from the tech by 1140am to see why I hadn't heard from him and when he would be here as I am missing now a full day of work for your pettiness! By far the worst company I've ever worked for.. They under…read morebid jobs and expect guys to work harder to make it up. But refuse to pay OT. Or give them enough hours to feed their families. (10 or fewer hour weeks) or if they even pay you all your hours most of the time without having to ask. They don't update or fix tools and equipment. Or give proper safety equipment on hire. Unless you hound them. Or provide enough tools,material,etc. There is little to no communication from the office to the field. Or in the field. They consider 6 guys a commercial crew, most of whom are laborers, not even roofers. There is no type of training what so ever. Unless your the roofers union.. but then you have to miss work and try to coordinate it with the union set times. When most the time you don't know where your going until 5am. Or even working. (Update) To add to this after seeing my review, they decided to start refusing to pay my direct deposit, saying I had to drive to the shop for it (an hour away). Also, after contacting the union and them pulling up the hours, there seems to be a trend. That they starve guys out. If they stick up for them selfs and / or if you don't sign their paper. Going against your union contract. Joe even had the nerve to say "well maybe it's because of your review." And "i dont want guys that won't work over 8 without OT." Just confirming this.. Have also heard stories from the crew about times that they shut down the crew and sent full crews home. Because they wanted the crane for another project that they could do on there own. Not at all considering there employee's. Also I'm sure that might be the reason they had a old froman take an entire crew and start his own company.. Guy Johnson was quick to respond and very thorough on his description of what was needed to repair properly and within budget. He as well as the repair crew were there when promised plus went above and beyond to do a thorough job plus did some additional preventive repair so as to hopefully prevent future issues plus they did so as a courtesy. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing repairs you won't regret it.

Chris was the only person who looked at it who was able to figure out how the water damage was actually happening. Even the insurance adjuster missed it! I also appreciate that Chris and his team worked to save me money, e.g. keeping the original bathroom vanity when we determined it was still usable. This was an unplanned expense, so the ability to work with GreenSky was a big plus, too. The vinyl plank floor looks and feels great; now I wish I could have it in my kitchen and entry, too. Next time, when I hope I have a planned remodel, I will be calling Van Vleet Construction.

Working with Chris VanVleet was AMAZING!!! We had a 25 or 30 year old rotting, 3 tier deck that…read moreneeded to be demolished and replaced. Chris spent almost 2 hours going over the new deck plan I had drawn up, and suggested some changes that would allow us to have a larger deck, and still stay within our budget. Our new deck is almost 10 feet above ground. The stairs go down to a 4x4 landing, and then make a 90 degree turn, and end up directly in front of our gate. The deck is beautiful, and rock solid. Chris and Darian were polite and professional throughout the entire project. Chris made sure that all of our needs were met, and gladly accomodated us on some last minute changes. Chris is a man of great integrity, and a hard worker, and we will be hiring him for future remodeling projects.
