Nothing beats buying American-made! We purchased a set of outdoor furniture a couple of years ago, and recently one of the chairs' woven seats started to come apart. I called the store in North Naples and was told to email Raney. He promptly opened a warranty claim, and it was resolved within a couple of weeks. The store replaced the seat at no charge and even provided a replacement backrest for free in case I have a problem in the future. The customer service was outstanding. The KB Patio store has an awesome selection of patio furniture and related items. Everything is very high end and very beautiful. They had couches for $10k, even 20k and more. We ultimately couldn't afford the designer patio furniture sold here and went next door to their Polywood store. After choosing over $10k in polywood items I checked Costco.com. The price was $3k lower and I was trying really hard to understand the difference in the price. The salesman was great, explaining that they provide assembly, delivery, warranty etc. But I wasn't entirely sure that was worth the difference in the price. So together we went next door to chat with the general manager. It's the same general manager for both stores. His vibe was way off. He didn't shake our hand. He didn't speak to us with respect. He made us feel poor (which we are not!!) And ultimately was unwilling to make any concessions on the price. He literally could have thrown us a $200 discount and we would have finished the deal. But we were made to feel so inappropriately low we walked out, logged straight onto Costco.com and saved a ton of money. There was no problem with the delivery or condition of the items. Assembly was simple and took only a few minutes each piece. And there was no missing hardware. Thank goodness for that. Since I apparently can't afford any extra screws. **I usually don't read reviews before leaving my own. Though I stumbled upon several other reviews for this location and their North Naples location from people with the same experiences. Nobody should be made to feel low, stupid, poor or whatever. No question is a dumb question. They literally lost $10k worth of business over how we were treated. So if you're looking for super high end furniture, don't care about the price and don't care how you'll be treated... sure go there. Otherwise I would look for some other place to shop. read more

The test of a competent and honest retailer is determined by how management and customer service resolves problems after the customer fully pays for the transaction. KB fails this test. There is no interest in fairly resolving issues raised by the customer. According to KB the customer is always requesting something that is contrary to their policy. KB simply provides the customer with the same tired excuses repeatedly. The next step is they don't answer their phone and if you can get them by blocking your phone number they tell you "don't call us we'll call you." Sometimes they simply hang up the phone in the middle of the conversation. Another issue is their requirement to pay 100% of the purchase price at the point of sale. Every retailer that I am aware of requires 50% down and 50% the day before the actual delivery. With KB the customer finances their inventory and therefore eliminates any financial risk for KB. This leaves the customer with no leverage in the event of a problem. In addition, they will not refund your money for any reason. Nice business model for them but a loser for their clients. I have read reviews by other KB customers in addition to the smug and condescending responses by the owners. The many poor reviews indicate similar issues including terrible customer service, no refunds, restocking fees etc. The responses from the owners follow common themes. For example, KB thinks that the customer is always wrong and there is always some "reason" why they cannot resolve the issue in favor of the customer. They always claim their staff never makes a mistake and are in fact unfairly criticized by the customer. This includes allegations that the customer is abusive to their staff. I would say it's my experience that its quite the opposite. The bottom line is prior to making the sale they are very nice and after you pay them in full they are very nasty Period. I recently purchased two Ledge Loungers from Lynn at KP Patios. She was very helpful and having the chairs in stock in different styles was very helpful as I needed to sit in one to see how low they were to the ground. James P. Response to Kathryn B comments on 1/13/23 review. When we walked into the store interested in Polywood dining set, we saw the Sale sign on a small round table with chairs around it. Lisa directed us to options we were interested in, but we thought the Sale sign was specific to the set associated. We decided on special ordering a table and two swivel end chairs. We were between Navy and Sand for the side chair fabric, but we decided to try the Sand on our Lanai, as suggested. None of the Sand chairs were on the floor (floor samples) as one had to be unboxed for us to see the color in-person. We drove to the South location to pick-up the additional chair needed, as your comment is not accurate. Also, doesn't the store pay the shipping to the store from Polywood on special orders and I didn't state we expected the same price for the upgraded fabric color. I suggested that with the additional money paid per chair, could we reduce the six quantity to four, since the special order would not process till Monday. When that was not an option, I offered to put the money saved on reducing chairs on changing the special order table to a longer (more expensive) special order table, but still NO...... Nobody alerted us to the return policy, especially knowing we were trying-out the Sand color, deciding if appropriate with our Lanai color theme. No body takes the time to read your fine print on the back of the receipt and maybe someone could alert on the points that matter. read more

Katharine was very helpful and knowledgeable about her merchandise and listened to our needs regarding a smaller scale and lighter weight patio set which could easily be moved indoors for storage. I've been looking for two chaise lounges to complement my existing patio set. I've stopped at several galleries that sell outdoor seating. I happened upon KB patio. When I walked inside I saw that they sell the same product of my existing table said that I thought was discontinued. JC was working in immediately knew what I wanted And what my existing set is. He looked up and found that there are still two chaise lounges that match my set. He's secure them through the website and I pick them up within two days fully assembled. Service is wonderful at KB patio through JC's help. I felt completely comfortable because everyone was wearing masks. The store is well laid out and spacious. We ordered a table 10/5/2019. Paid for, 10/5/2019., today is 1/11/2020, I have had to call numerous times. The store in November said we could pick up table. When we went they had the wrong table. No communication as to when or if we would receive our table. Very poor communications. I had to again call, 1/11:2020 to be told they had to check the warehouse. First and last dealing with this company. There are many great patio stores that have excellent costumer service. read more

We ordered a round patio coffee table on November 11th 2020. We were not given the impression that we would still be waiting for it on March 2 2021. I have called numerous times and was told by JC that it was waiting to clear through customs in Miami, it is going to arrive in two weeks, and now it is back ordered. I have asked for a refund but was told no refunds for special orders and that the table is coming from another country. They had the table on the showroom floor. Hence the delay. KB does state, along with no refunds, that delivery will be within 4-20 weeks. If the table is not here in 20 weeks, then I want a refund and will not take no for an answer. I understand Covid may be part of the problem but the Manager should do the right thing and refund our money plus tax. I shall never shop here again. read more
