The ladies running the countertops and painting departments were really nice and got me scheduled for paint and countertops. I ended up hiring a painter before our painting appointment came. Countertop person came over to measure and he informed me that there would be a fee of $150 to get a quote. It was an automatic turn off. No other companies do this. It should have been mentioned before we even booked the appointment. He gave me a ballpark number that was at least 7k to 10k over the company I intend to use. Appointment was a waste of time. Don't recommend you fall for the same thing I did. Look elsewhere

I placed a Martha Stewart solar light sculpture in my shopping cart, then added a twin pack of king size pillows and some sheer drapes. I then proceeded to the decorative pillow section to find some pillows to compliment my new sofa. When I returned to my cart, it was gone. Instead I found my twin pack of pillows and sheer drapes dumped on a table. My cart and solar light sculpture were no where to be found. I asked one of the staff members if they had seen my cart and she replied that someone may have taken it. We then proceeded to search the store and found the culprit with my cart and sculpture. When the staff member questioned her, she replied she found it in a cart. I said, yes, that was my cart and promptly removed it. She apologized but what gives her the right to take someone elses cart and merchandise. Luckily this staff person and I worked quickly to find the thief.

This De Bu is like a bigger poor twin of the one in Pismo Beach…read more Even though it is more spacious, there are dark vacant shelves & freezers, there is very poor lighting inside, and many of the freezer/refrigerators where not on...so there was this strange look of tons of lonely dry goods, ,some veges, but little in the way of frozen items or happy freshly baked goodies (see multi-pics). I guess it may have been far better on a Friday, like in Pismo. Anyway, it had a depressing atmosphere, like a run down store in a former Soviet Block Country after the Wall came down (e.g. Slovakia). Santa Maria is no where near as prosperous nor as "happy" as SLO. There are gangs, poverty, & crime...but they do have good Strawberries. Even though both the nearby Santa Maria Asian Market & the Pismo Beach De Bu are much nicer, if you need a large selection of Filipino items & live in the area, then it is OK. Since I came at a random afternoon (like a Monday), I did not get to see their shipment of goodies on Fridays like the Pismo De Bu. The Pismo De Bu is hoping on Friday afternoons with all kinds of fresh from LA goodies... like fresh Asian Veges, Oyster Mushrooms, Bok Choy, Sweet Potato leaves, Miso, Leche Flan, Sweet Buns & Bread (from Goldilocks & other LA Bakeries)....but they quickly run out of stuff as the many local Filipino swap the store. So, first come, first serve. After the weekend, they are quite often deplete of most of the fresh stuff. I would hope that Santa Maria's De Bu has a similar dynamic on a Friday, but it is too far from the SLO area to be much of any use to us on a late Friday...especially since the Pismo De Bu is just a few miles from my home in Shell Beach. This De Bu needs an renovation, better lighting, to keep up with either the nearby Asian Market, or the Pismo De Bu. On the other hand, it looks as if they are struggling to stay in business. I asked how much for all three boards and they quoted me $41. 61. I'm new to buying wood so I figured that was a normal price. I didn't check the receipt after I'd paid (my fault) and I went home happy and excited to make stuff. It wasn't until a few days later that I found my receipt and saw they'd charged me $416.14 for three boards. These prices are far above the national average for wood and they don't post prices at the rack. Had I bought these boards anywhere else I would have paid far less. An example, I paid $21.60 a linear foot for the walnut. That's about $32.40 a board foot. S2S online is $14.99 a board foot. I paid more than double to have two extra sides surfaces and sanded. My whole purchase should have costed less than $200. I can't speak for the rest of their merchandise, but if you're buying hardwood don't go here. Update: Brisco True Value in AG charges $11.99 a bd ft for walnut, $6.15 for maple, and $7.59 for cherry. My purchase there would have been approximately $171.53 before taxes and fees for the amount I purchased. I will be shopping there from now on.

In 2025 from the advice of a contractor I purchased everything that was needed to furnish a to-be-built ADU. All kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, sinks, toiltets the lot. As 2025 passed and there was no permit, and no start date in sight, and on top of that the contractor was less than trust worthy I approached Fergusons to explain the problem: there was no ADU, there was no permit, certainly not in 2025. Fergusons without hesitation refunded me the total $ amount. We were floored. WHAT customer service, WHAT integrity, WHAT goodness walks the floor of this showroom and the management.
