OK, so not hating too much as they're prices are cheap And the owners are really nice, not jerks or a creep But boy does this place smell like 2nd hand smoke I've experienced pool halls, but this place is no joke This place is a billiards hall, but they have a good amount of pool tables (about 6-8 from what I can see). The place is otherwise filled with billiards tables. The hosts are nice, but the place smells surprisingly strong of smoke though it wasn't filled with it. Don't get me wrong, I've been to pool halls before and I've smelled smoke, but this place was a little over powering. It wasn't dimly lit either (which I kind of like) and the pool tables are a little old. Though if you like billiards you'd like this place because it has nice new looking tables. I was really bored and decided I wanted to go out and shoot some pool with friends. Found this place and it's relatively cheaper than going to Round 1- especially on a weekend. The price is $8 an hour, which is decent compared to round 1's prices which is around maybe $14 on weekends? The place has a decent amount of pool tables and they have their own cues so no need to bring your own. A soda is $1, not too bad either. The only bad things are that it gets a little hot but they do have some fans-- and also the pool tables are a little too close together so you have to constantly watch what angle you're shooting at bc you might poke someone or get poked. Addressing the other reviews, there wasn't a weird smell but the area where this place is located at is a bit sketchy and a lot of sketch people bike around outside. Cool little place in a plaza located on the corner of valley Blvd and Arden. Walked in to a room smelled of cigs and middle aged peoples. I admit that when I first walked in I was ready to run back out to my car. But the owner welcomed us warmly and it was too late to turn back. For $8 an hour, this place is really pretty good. The tables and cues are in generally good condition and I soon noticed that the seemingly tough crowd was actually a bunch of really nice people. Most of the tables are for billiards (the type without pockets) but we were there to play 8-ball and I was pleased to find at least a few pool tables. We ended up staying for over 3 hours and it was still so affordable. When we were ready to leave, the owner shook our hands and thanked us for coming to his business and told us about his plans to improve the place in the near future. I do have to say that there were a few negatives. 1) There were basically no other women playing there. When I first walked in, I felt like everyone inside stopped playing for a second and stared at me. Awkward... 2) It smelled like cigarette smoke so after spending 3 hours in that room, I smelled like cigarettes as well. 3) The music was in Vietnamese (maybe this is a positive for some people). Actually, it wasn't the fact that the music was in Vietnamese that bothered me but the fact that they played the same song literally 8 times in a row. I used to be a pool addict in high school. But we always had enough pool places in Rowland. If you're in SGV though, defitnietly hit up this spot. It looks kinda shady from the outside like in the hood middle of no where but inside is brightly lit with a lot of tables. They have more billard tables then pool tables but that's expected from a place like this. Really cheap rates, and they also sell food and drinks there for people. The owners here are nice, they provide you with some ice cold tea (I think it's jasmine tea) and with a price tag of $8 an hour, how can you not want to play. I think they have a happy hour, I only been here once at night, and what was funny is even though they state that they close at 12 or 1, they stay open for awhile. They also sell other non alcoholic drinks... They only have like 4 pool tables but the owner said hes planning to get more in but not sure when yet. It smells like cigarette smoke in there because when they have the billiards tournaments the players tend to smoke in there (these are the older Vietnamese generation with the exception of a few young punks) They are doing setups for the tvs on top but its not fully completed yet. I not really a good pool person, but the price here is so cheap that I go here often to practice my craft. Only 8 dollars per hour and 5 during downtime. That is the price per table too, talk about bang for your bucks. The table is a bit wears off and show sign of usage. Minus 1 star mainly because there's not enough room between table, there's time you can pump to another person from the table nearby. Hitting by a pool stick isn't fun. read more

This place is great because not many people come here and it's so cheap. The last star would be for how nice the owners are. I've brought large groups of people here and sometimes just a friend and I. The Banh Mi is good for a snack and they have a decent selection of drinks to choose from.
