We are thrilled with our new apartment and KBR's work. KBR remodeled our apartment, which included removing a wall to create an open-concept living room & kitchen. After completely tearing out our 90-year-old, uneven flooring and installing a level and rigid sub floor, KBR installed beautiful Brazilian Cherry hardwoods in the living room and bedroom and elegant porcelain tile in the kitchen and foyer. They re-designed an existing closet in the living room and added a new closet in the foyer. Additionally they removed 1970's popcorn ceilings, installed recessed lighting throughout, and painted the entire apartment. KBR's workmanship is excellent and every single person we worked with was professional, responsive, and accommodating. We had been planning a remodel for several years and had spoken with several design-build companies. We seriously considered 3 different companies. When we first began talking with KBR we had a good idea of what we wanted. Our designer was Baha and of the individuals we worked with at these three companies, Baha was the most receptive to our needs and ideas. He helped us put the finishing touches on our rough design and was our main point of contact throughout the project. Of the three companies we seriously considered, KBR and one other were competitive on price. Baha was one of the main reasons we went with KBR. KBR also stood out because of their willingness to go the extra mile. One of the three companies we considered was perhaps the most established and well known in the DC area. However, they were not willing to be directly responsible for extras such as the flooring throughout the apartment, painting or the closet work. We would have needed to hire other contractors for that work. KBR's willingness to provide more than just the kitchen remodel made our lives much easier by not having to coordinate with several different contractors. Beyond their willingness, KBR truly listened to us and demonstrated their interest in understanding the elements of our remodel that were most important to us, even if these were not as convenient for the crew. A great example of this was their willingness to completely replace the sub-floor when other contractors weren't willing to consider this extra step. A few even maintained that installing new flooring over a 90 year old, unstable floor would be the best approach despite our insistence that this would not be the case. The actual construction went as smoothly as could it could have gone. The construction team led by Ruben and project manager Cemil, was prompt and respectful. We live in a condominium and this team followed all the rules. They communicated well with our general manager and other staff. Our neighbors commented on how nice the workers were. The neighbors were especially impressed by the fact that on trash removal days, KBR put down plastic protective sheeting all the way down a hallway that runs the entire length of the building (almost a whole city block) to protect the carpets. This is something that no one remembers any other contractor doing. It should go without saying that no remodeling job of this scope goes entirely as planned. Something unexpected will always come up. KBR was exceptional in handling any hiccups. For example, when measurements indicated that the island counter stone was too large to fit in the elevator, KBR immediately contacted us and offered 2 options. One was to fabricate the counter in 2 pieces, which would leave a seam in the island. The second was to bring on an additional worker to help carry the island counter up 4 flights of stairs. We chose the second option. In our previous experience dealing with contractors, often we felt that decisions would be made without this important communication, resulting in unexpected surprises like an unwanted countertop seam. One other person that we would like to mention is Tracey in the Fairfax showroom. She was the first person I talked to on the phone. She was friendly, showed an interest in our project and worked with me to find a good time for the initial visit with Baha. And she provided helpful advice, such as suggesting hardware for our cabinets that work much better than the typical ones we almost chose. read more

We hired KBR Kitchen and Bath (Fairfax, VA) to remodel our master bathroom and powder room in late 2018 and are extremely happy with the final results. From the outset working with our designer Silviya, through the entire construction process led by the project manager Huseyin along with Dany and A.J., KBR's entire crew was professional, friendly and easy to work with. As our designer, Silviya made things a lot easier. There are so many choices to make, but she listened to our preferences and helped guide us in our decisions without any pressure. She was very accessible and quickly responded to all of our questions. KBR's estimate was in the middle of the five quotes we received for the project. The job started on time and was completed within budget and actually a few days ahead of schedule. Dany arrived daily with the rest of the crew on the project and worked alongside them each day. He was extremely friendly and helpful, and kept the project going in an organized and efficient manner. The crews arrived when expected and worked very hard. Huseyin was the project manager and was always available to address any concerns or answer questions we had during the project. We were impressed by the way KBR really listened to us, answering our questions and coming up with solutions to any problems or concerns. They lived up to Dany's promise of treating our home like it was their own home, taking the extra time to make sure things were done right, and making sure we were happy. We had 3 bathrooms done at once - the Master Bath, Hall Bath, and Powder Room. Belle was amazing and she helped us every step of the way - from design layout to choices for tile, countertop, paint, etc. We could not have done this without her, and we are so pleased with the results. Sometimes I walk into our newly remodeled bathrooms and I don't want to leave - it looks fantastic and very calming, just as planned. What I liked most about Belle was her honesty. She wasn't pushy, but if I had picked something out that she thought would not work, she'd let me know, and this is exactly what I wanted from her - she has the design skills, she's done this many times before, and this is why we picked KBR. Same goes for the rest of the crew. They were very professional, they knew what they were doing, I could tell they've done this before many times, and if I had a question about anything, someone was always there to respond. For every issue that came up, they responded promptly. I couldn't believe the end result - it was so much nicer than I could have imagined! They completed the contract within the agreed upon timeframe. We did have some change orders, but these were due to unforeseen issues that came up during the renovation, or they were requested add-ons. And so overall, we couldn't be more pleased and we highly recommend this firm for their professionalism and quality work! read more

We decided to replace our 25 year old kitchen and went with multiple bids, with KBR's proposal within $1K of the typical bid. We found it reasonable based on other remodeling we had done. Plus their bid made sense -- for example: another company's proposal required us to provide the grout! Really!!?? All members of the KBR team were professional, helpful, and did not "up sell" materials or design. They matched existing and new materials and kitchen areas seamlessly. We did a complete remodel and KBR did the entire job (including the punchlist) in 8 working days (which included a Saturday). They even provided a great financing option. We are completely happy with the final product. As a simple statement of fact -- they do not handle appliance purchase/replacement. This was fine with us as we wanted very specific products. We then arranged for all appliances to be delivered before KBR started their scheduled work. This helped the work go smoothly. KBR used the appliance specific information to finalize the plans ahead of time. KBR has an excellent selection of materials to choose for your kitchen. We worked with Belle at their Fairfax office. We would gladly work with them again -- but the kitchen is so well done it will be quite awhile before we will need another remodel. read more

I recently used KBR Kitchen and Bath for my bathroom remodeling. I cannot say more happy things about this company. Armagan was our designer who went above and beyond! My husband and I watch a lot of HGTV and had lots of ideas of the style we were in search for. He helped our vision come to life! He invited us to the showroom to pick out the materials we would be using. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the showroom and the easy access to the different floor models. KBR completely gutted our master bathroom of the original bathroom that was universal in our housing development plans(Ryan Homes). We went with a stone shower stall. My husband and I frequent Westin hotels and were always impressed with this "Double Speakman Shower Head. He was able to help us find that perfect shower head that we love so much at hotels. The sink bowl is another one of my favorites! Our bathroom now has that luxury feel to it that we were looking for! We couldn't be more excited that we went with KBR and had the opportunity to work with Armagan! I chose KBR after a friend had her bathroom redone by them and recommended them to me. I was looking into purchasing a home in DC that needed major rennovations and wasn't sure the low sticker price was worth buying a home that needed so much work. So I set about doing my homework and asking friends who had dome major remodel jobs in their houses/apts if they knew of a remodeling company that might be able to come give me quote before closing on my house. A coworker told me that she had her bathroom redone by KBR and was really happy with her overall experience. When I called KBR and explained my situation and how I needed a quote quicklybefore making the big decision on the house, they were really accomodating and met me with my realtor a few days later at what is now my home. I couldn't be happier with the results. I got the kitchen, bathroom, and hardwood floors that my house desparately needed and my house is now appraised way higher than what I paid for it plus the reno. I want to thank KBR for my beautiful new kitchen. Silviya the designer did a fantastic job - she really listened to what I was looking to include in the remodel and was patient as we worked through revisions to get where I wanted to be with the layout and the cost. Omer and the technicians did a great job keeping the work moving along to keep to the schedule. They also kept the place as tidy as possible cleaning up each day when work was complete. I did have different technicians through the project but all were highly capable and did great work. Having the showroom there to pick all your materials is also very helpful. My only suggestion for improvement would be to improve communication. We had a few times when we were not on the same page and had some issues we could have otherwise avoided. Fortunately these were resolved quickly for the most part. Having said that I'm extremely pleased with the quality, workmanship and service provided by KBR, and my kitchen is the envy of all my friends :-) . Thanks KBR! read more

We were planning to remodel our kitchen and did research for companies that are one Angie's List. After consulting with 4 companies in total, we decided to work with KBR. Entire project went perfectly. Our designer, Armagan, was very pleasant to work with. He was always in touch with us, kept us posted about progress. Tracy, at the office, was very responsive. Armagan came to our house and provided us a design and estimate. Next step, we went to KBR's showroom and made our selections. They have plenty of materials to choose from. We agreed on a starting date and signed to contract with KBR. I was very nervous at the beginning but KBR made it very easy for me. Workers were excellent. They were very kind and respectful. They covered everywhere to block the dust and they cleaned the area everyday after work. They were always on time. Trash was picked up on time. There is nothing that we can complain about the turn out. They gave us a brand new kitchen in 3 weeks. I would definitely recommend KBR to anybody. read more

KBR kitchen has updated my kitchen for my single house. Owners Erhan and Cemil, personally came to my house for measurements and estimate. They've had variety of cabinets, granites, and floorings to choose from. Their price was better then their competitors. I've checked few places before I went and talk to them. On the day of the work, they were on time, covered all my carpets, and my walls carefully before starting to work. I'm so very pleased with the job they did, that I've called them again for bathroom updates. These guys are amazing, honest, clean work for a very competitive price. I am amazed with the job. We hired KBR to remodel our kitchen and were super happy with the results! After getting estimates from other remodeling stores in the area, we weren't sure if we oculd get the kitchen we wanted in the budget we had in mind. KBR's quote was much more reasonable than the places even just across the street. I'm talking like $10k less than other quotes wegot for essentially the same products. The staff were also great. The designer we met in the showroom who was also our project manager was very accessible and responsive. The guys who came to our house were consistently on time and very respectful of our space. They took care in covering nearby furniture and were careful not to mark up our new hardwood floors. Were very happy customers and will be back once were ready to redo our bathroom. read more

I used KBR to do a full master bath remodel. It is a large bathroom - new shower, vanities, freestanding tub, tile work, tile accent wall etc. Belle, my designer, was amazing at helping me pick from the myriad options available for tiles etc. They had to move plumbing, build a half/wall, and even had to widen my bathroom door to fit the new tub. They did a great job, and even moved some items after they were installed because I wanted them in slightly different places. I highly recommend them! The workers were even great with my dog, who kept them company every day while I was at work. read more

We're very happy with our New kitchen and bathrooms. KBR did our full house renovation. They completed the project on the timefram, it took 4 weeks. KBR Kitchen and Bath has provided excellent customer service! I had problems with my cabinet doors cracking and sent an email to KBR concerning it. They immediately responded and made arrangements for my cabinet doors to be replaced by the manufacturing company. There were no questions asked but an apology was made regarding the problem.
