He included us in all design decisions and was always eager to suggest ways to improve the project. Cons: - They were 4 hrs late with no communication around that unless I instigated it. - I thought I was being taken advantage of because I had already given them some money for materials. - They were almost 2 hrs late the second day, I had to instigate the communication about that again. - they seemed very unconcerned about being so late. What I learned from this: Don't agree to give money upfront for materials. If you do, use Venmo's protection option, that's the only way Venmo can help you if something bad happens. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.

In light of this company's prior ratings I followed up to research Brandons interactions with the Pro team at a well known home improvement retailer in Augusta and in the end found nothing inconsistent with his introductory remarks that he made to me during an hour long interview in reference to the more complicated project as mentioned above. The Apex team did a GREAT JOB in just 10 working days (and driving 90 minutes each way daily to the job site!)...in spite of Home Depot's 3 delivery screw ups!
