What I learned from this: Don't agree to give money upfront for materials. If you do, use Venmo's protection option, that's the only way Venmo can help you if something bad happens. It took me a few weeks to obtain the building permit required for my porch. He kept in contact with me through that process to ensure we were on the same page and he could start as soon as I got everything in order. Brandon and the guys arranged to start on a day that worked for me, starting at around 9am to sunset everyday until both projects were done. They were profession and courteous through the whole job, only leaving behind sawdust in the grass. Great group of guys. I later had them come back to replace an 8x12 section of subfloor, main door to the house and floor tiles for the kitchen/entry way. Same experience as the first job. I have them scheduled again for this spring to renovate two bathrooms and replace some windows.
