With a recent issue on some new frames the the manager agreed to allow me a complete swap since I wasn't convinced the repair would be satisfactory. This was above and beyond. I've been loyal to this shop for years and will now continue based on how the manager stepped up. One of the secret weapons is Diana. Super cool and a great eye for what style fits. This local, small town business was a breath of fresh air--- the service was excellent, as was the selection of eyeglass frames, including designer frames as well....Gucci, Tom Ford, to name just a few. The owner, Peter Detreich introduced himself and personally assisted me. Their prices were fair and competitive, but the quality, knowledgable service and the glasses were the major, remarkable aspects of my experience at this store. The glasses they made for me were the clearest, sharpest best "seeing" glasses, far better than the glasses I've had for over 25 years from my prior opticians. And, my prescription for multi-focal, progressive lenses I'd thought would mean a compromise in the close or far ranges. Not so. I used to sometimes get dizzy wearing my prior glasses with the progressive lenses. The multiple pairs I've had made by Deitrich do not do that. It's almost like not wearing glasses. You feel like you've stopped in to have coffee with your girlfriends. Right now they have a special for exams for only $30. Yes, $30 for a contact lens AND glasses exam. I used to pay $110 and up for my eye exams! They are thinking of ending it soon because of the name outlet and the cheap prices they are concerned they aren't getting customers b/c people see that and think the service is junk. My husband thought the same thing and let me tell you this is not the case at all! My frames were only $100 and they are gorgeous. I get more compliments with these than I ever did with my old frames which cost me over $450 at another eye place. It is run by sweet, loving people who really care about your vision. The selection of frames are AMAZING and the prices are incredible! They also have beautiful frames from Prada, Ed Hardy and other high end brands. They have prescription sunglasses and children's eyewear. I brought my mother there last week for her exam and she was amazed by the professional and caring service. They do take insurance too - call to find out which ones. Yes, they do contacts too! Don't like the trial pair? They'll keep ordering ones for you until you find ones you like. No hassle, no fuss.
